"Ghost" boxes on my desk

When I put them to the top of my desk, I (always) see three boxes 'ghost' he... I can see their outlines (or both of them) but no content. They have no color, but are inspired by washing thoroughly clear, blue-green.  How can I get rid of them?  Where did they come from? Re-initialization or other stages of purity do not help.

And if clean you boot?

  • Gray Ghost boxes when exporting to PDF in preview

I searched the forum for an answer to this, but have not found one.  I'm an amateur using InDesign to produce several bulletins of society.  These ballots are NOT printed; a link is sent to our employees and where they can consult the newsletter in preview, which is Apple PDF Viewer.  I like photos of vintage by squaring them look, apply a thick white line and a subtle shadow.  I usually rotate a little, too.  I just finished a bulletin and exported to PDF, as I usually do.  However, in the preview, you can see a gray ghost of the original frame of the photo box, unrotated.  I understand that sometimes happens with transparency effects, I guess that includes my shadow.  I am at a total loss.  I've found a workaround, but it is tedious and mess a bit with the image quality of the PDF file.

Do you know guys what I can do about it?  Unlike most of the issues I saw this mention of this, I am not that send to a printer, nor is the printed document.

  • ArtGalry.EXE information box on my desk whenever I start

I am running Windows XP Home.  For several weeks now I get a window on my desktop screen whenever I start the computer.

    Box title is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Artgalry.exe

The message comes on - Artgalry .exe can perform several tasks and then goes on to list 3 of them

I have to close this box every time to spend using the PC

Is there a way I can stop this box appearing in the first place.

I use MSOffice2010 and I guess Artgalry can be part of that, so I'm reluctant to delete the file.

Previously, I was using MSOffice 1997 which is now deleted but I he asks me the problem could be associated with the change of MSOffice97 to MSOffice2010

    Thanks Al

I also had this problem all of a sudden, after a reinstall full Windows XP on my laptop - it because a Microsoft security upgrade failed... grrrrrr.

Anyway, you can easily disable it as follows:

Go to start/run - type msconfig.

It allows the configuration utility - go to the STARTUP tab.

Scroll down from there - there should be an entry for 'Start of Office' with the value of the command is the path to the ARTGLRY. EXE file.

Simply uncheck the box, click on apply, and you're there.  You will need to reboot for the settings to take effect.

  • Why a big white box appears on my desktop, using Windows 7, after going on the Internet?

I have a brand new PC running Windows 7.  After that all three times I use the Internet, I get a big white box on my desk that simply will not disappear (the white box is visible once IE is closed).  After the computer restarts, it disappears but it always comes back.  One small thing that works is by clicking at the bottom right of the screen.  There's a small rectangle down there, and when I click it, the white box disappears.  If I click on the rectangle, again, white box comes back.  It is not prevent all functions, but its really annoying, especially on a brand new computer. Any info would be great!

    Hi dmbfan,

From what I understand I think it's a page of Internet Explorer (IE) that does not close properly. I suggest you run Internet Explorer mode without modules and see if the problem repeats.

    Follow the steps to do the same;

Step 1: Run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode

Add-on Internet Explorer, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide a better browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer. To determine if the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode To do this, follow these steps:

    1) click Start and type Internet Explorer in the box to start the search.
    2) click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without Add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
    (3) test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.

If the problem does not persist in no add-on mode so you can follow the steps below to use the Manage Add-ons to determine which add-on is causing the problem

Step 2: Use the tool of management of Add-ons in Internet Explorer to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors. To do this, follow these steps:

    Internet explore 8

    1. open Internet Explorer 8.
    2. click on tools and then click on Manage Add-ons.
    3. in the drop-down view menu, select all add-ons to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. for each element in this list, select the add-on, and then click Disable in the information window.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. exit and then restart Internet Explorer.
    7. If the problems do not recur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. click on activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

After you have used this process to determine which add-on causes errors, you can disable this add-on. Or, you can uninstall the software that installs the add-on. We also recommend that you contact the software vendor that provided the add-on for additional troubleshooting and support.

For more information on the above steps, you can access the link below.

    Hello Booberry66,

What you can try is to find the ink to use settings in the driver. If they are there, not with all the models and are trying to address the use of ink. It's the only thing that you can try.

It has worked in the past is possible, but still not be sure about that. Sometimes, the problem with ink HP no is that quality is not constant. And it could just be a lot of poor ink. Now I download the driver for this device and I'll post a screenshot of the setting screen, if I can find it.

  • Repeating the Excel 2003 security updates

This last Tuesday, downloaded Windows updates and installed a first series of 10 updates, then during the next hours downloaded and installed at least four or five more simple updates before finally obviously get what she wanted and that constant updating process.  At this point, I really don't pay attention to what was being downloaded like every single update.

Today, my computer has downloaded up to present nine has security updates for Excel 2003 only, each apparently exactly the same day, with each of them supposedly completely, install through downloading everything and install the process without a hitch... except for the constant repetition of the download.  I recognize that the time between each of them becomes a greater length, but so far, they are still happening.  Frankly, I am tired of this two and begins to wonder what is happening.  Each of them takes only about 3 minutes to do, nor requires a reboot, but it just keeps reappearing and there annoying.

I want to know if there are in fact only a number of these necessary updates, and if so, why the hell can not all be made at the same time with a single download?  If not, is there something wrong here with Windows updates or my computer (the last scares me - I need this computer!)?  I have tried restarting my computer for the simple reason that I wanted to check my e-mail and various other things quickly before going to bed, because I had a long day of shopping, walking on and see doctors.  I want to stop and get some sleep, but this thing continues to display!  I'm at the point of waiting until it is crossed once and then stop really fast before another begins.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is happening?  He just asked for another!

EDIT: 09-13-2013. 10:33. after the last "update" and the display of this message, I was asked for the other two of these same updates until I finally did it with what I was doing, making total 12 from the moment I turned on the computer (constantly. 22:30) and when I turned it off (about 12 h 40). Each of the last three times were much more tense, but he showed.  This morning the update appeared again while my mother used my computer as his own refused to connect to the wifi while I worked with her.  The rear plug, my computer, I got the update that said she wanted, and it was the same thing.  He's been through, supposed to be updated and disappeared.  Three minutes later, another one appeared, SAME THING DAMNED.  I don't know if my update does not save the update or if there is a loop at the end from where the updates, but I'm giving up.  I hope there, can someone help me solve this problem, please!

EDIT #2: 13/09/2013, 18:20.  Later - my mother's computer usually does its updates at least a day behind me.  Today, she started with the large group of 10 that my problems began.  However, she was able to see that one of the updates, it believes that it is the Excel one since the brief overview of the error message she had before his computer does restart, has not ended.  She saw something to the effect of "could not install, error writing."  His computer is now pulling him constantly trying to install the update to Excel 2003 security with the same number (KD2810048), that mine made.  We both left it sit at the point of what awaits us install OK just to stop the cycle and be able to work, as our computers are the two otherwise works well.

Our computers are not connected in any way, except that mine is in wifi with the physical connection, and his box uses a wifi adapter to wireless interface with the box on my desk from his bedroom.  The only time where everything comes and goes is files between our computers, as she has the printer, is if I want to print.  I have to put the files on my USB key, in his computer and print from the files on the flash.  Together had just updated us all our security (MSE, free Spybot, Malware free - and they all work very well together and have for more than three years, so don't tell me that "they are not compatible") and ran clean scans on our computers before this all started.

  • the problem with the download of radiorage

I downloaded radiorage but did not see the two little boxes checked on the bottom of the download window that allowed radiorage to take over my computer.  Toolbars have been taken over by radiorage.  I uninstalled radiorage, however, it does not completely uninstall the program.  Being an audio program, he has deleted my the taskbar "speaker" icon near the clock. I can use the control panel and put the icon in the taskbar, but whenever I turned off the computer, the icon disappears again.  There is also a vertical box across my desk that I can't find a way to remove.  I also can't access my bar of tasks and the start menu in the control panel to try to remove the vertical box.  The verticle box that shows beside my desk displays the tasks of file with subtitles to make a new folder and share this folder.  It also displays the other places with the subtitles of My Documents, Shared Documents, and my network places and a final display of details with the subtitle Desktop.  Another that paid more attention when I download a program, how can I solve the two problems that I have just described?

Have you tried the system restore? Click Start---> ---> all programs Accessories---> ---> System Tools System Restoreand choose a day before the installation date of radiorage. You can also try to download revo uninstaller from the link below in order to remove any trace of remains of radiorage.

There is a program on my printers software called "Solution Center", but I reinstalled the printer software and still get this message.

    Hello

-Were there any changes made on the computer before the show.

This issue seems to be with Flash player. I would suggest trying the following steps and check.

    Method 1:

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following step 7.

    Method 2:

Uninstall all Adobe of computer products.

    Uninstall or change a program

Restart the computer once all Adobe products are uninstalled, and then reinstall Adobe.

    Hello

What I found indicates it is a HP printer problem. If you have the HP printer CD, insert it when the application asks for it (when it says network resource is not available). Click Browse and then double-click your CD-ROM. click drive on the installation folder. Double-click the tray app folder. You should see the trayapp.msi file. One click to open it. And then click OK.

Once you have installed, if you want more, you can uninstall it.

    I hope this helps.

The method is similar in different operating systems, but the differences are small. Basically, you right (click with the right button of your mouse), click the icon of one of the files you know there must be a PDF file, choose Properties in the new window. In general, then click on the button of change with eyes Open with, choose the Player in the popdown menu. Be sure to check the always use this program for files of this type. Please note that the texts my different being that my Windows is in Spanish and I have written are the translations of what I see on my screen.

  • Office objects

Hi, I recently fixed a virus on my computer after a few days of hard work he tracks and since then I have experienced no blue screens, but I got a probel with explorer.exe where he sometimes used more than 800 MB of memory, nothing to do. With more research and monitoring, I discovered its cause was actually a music on my desk corupt file, and every time I refreshed my office, use of the memory of the Explorer would skip a few tens of individuals more KB of memory. This is now fixed. BUT, I still have a symptom of something wrong, this does not seem to go.

My PC is back to be fast, it seems now and there is no real noticeable lag between opening just as folders there, but my office still has problems. If I close an application in full-screen, the computer is not exactly slow, it's just the program closes very slightly slower than normal as it closes from top to bottom. MSN in particular, always surveys is the title behind the closing bar. And if I click on and drag the little dashed box on my desk, it makes the sticks and does not disappear. All this is resolved by a refresh of the office, but it does not explain why it's happening.

Update directx 9 can help as it might have been changed when you clean the viruses.

Reinstall the drivers for your card. The use then as it removes all the stuff driver persistent who can cause problems. Free also!
