• Captivate 9 Style Manager object crashing

  OK - simple enough - my system was working fine and I was able to use the styles and preferences with no problems. In the middle of the development of a sensitive, I opened the object manager stlyle to reset the default values of the intelligent forms and its empty opening. I wouldn't go far without resorting to Ctrl-alt-delete to end the program.

  I cleared caches and reopened Captivate. Until I opened a project, I opened the object Style Manager to set the defauilts and found the same behavior. I went in the back-end and run the preferences file own bat and reopened Captivate. The Style of the object manager is always empty opening and crashing the program. On the Task Manager to stop the currently running program, the Manager of object Style closed earlier than the program once and updated a fatal error message that indicates a backup file was created. There is no backup anywhere file (not a problem, all these mistakes occurred early or before even that a file was opened).

  I always use this version as well (see too much at stake to upgrade my workstation at the moment). Although I rather frequent crashes, never known the problem you describe. Especially since you have disabled the preferences. Can I clear the cache on a regular basis? It was the first version 9 installed on your system or that you have upgraded to version 9.0.0 to 9.0.1? Since it seems to be related with styles, can you try to remove the Layouts folder in public documents, while CP is closed? When you restart CP, will make a new copy of the original. Maybe the corruption in some themes? Have you tried to change a theme?

• Button style default Quiz does not appear in the Style Manager object

  All buttons in a quiz that I created have black text on a black background, so that they are not visible. However, I do not seem to have an option in the Style of the object manager to change the default Quiz button Style. Outside the update each button individually, are at - it another option or a way to make the buttons appear in the style of the Manager object? I am using captivate 5.

  I want my Adobe blue/red/green legends to setting by default with Center Align , but I want my Transparent captions to have align left.

  Both of the foregoing being in the same 'Legends' section in the Style Manager object, it seems (to me anyway) you cannt have a style for Transparent captions and a different style for Adobe Blue.

  Any ideas?

  Hi Noel,

  You can clone the default caption at the OSM Style, create your "Transparent caption Style", then you'll end up with two styles of legend.

• Object Style Manager: How to import styles into of CP7 CP8

  Here's my problem:

  1. I open a Captivate file created in CP7
  2. I have it save it under a different filename in CP8
  3. I create a new object Style--say a text caption
  4. I export the Style - I tried just the new style, all styles, all styles for all objects.
  5. I create a new file CP8, save it.
  6. I try and import the styles exported in step 4 and get the error: "cannot import Styles.The you try to import a style file exported from an earlier version of Captivate.

  I don't understand. I opened the file CP7 and re-recorded it with a new name in CP8 in a different location.

  What is the problem?

  OK, I finally have an answer:

  1. Open the CP7 file with default & custom styles
  2. Copy all slides
  3. Create the new file CP8 & save
  4. Paste all of the slides in this new file & save
  5. Object Style Manager: export all styles of all objects
  6. Create / open a file CP8
  7. Object Style Manager: import templates created in step 5

• Reading, replying, deleting messages from Message Hub without user interaction

  I need access to the hub of the Message to read the messages/email from particular sender.  The app would have read the message, extract information such as the e-mail address of the sender of the message and reply to the sender. I want to achieve this goal without the user intervention or interference to end of self-test.

  For example, I get a message in the Blackberry hub, Application research and read a message from a specific sender. It retrieves information and answers back to the sender. After the response is sent, the message should be deleted. But this should happen as soon as the Application is started. There is therefore no interference of the user while encoded in the files of the CBC.

  There are some Message PIM application example that does something similar. But there is user interaction required to send the message. I have a few minor changes and hard-coding an email address. It sends an email to this address, but I need to press the button 'send '. I want to do as soon as the application is started without interacting with a graphical interface to test the object.

  Is it possible to do it in the background and the GUI only shows information such as the email/message received, sent to answer?

  I read the reference to MessageService, Message etc to the http://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades for more information on the API.

  In fact, you can. In the example of Messages , the "Send" feature is attached to a button, so you can raise yourself when you play with the app, but really you as a developer could haved called at any time... It's that they function key:

  However, this does not require permission to access_pimdomain_messages, which most of the users will not give you unless you have a good enough justification (because it lets you do things like that).

  What you can't do, is use the card of composer of email without user interaction, which is normally how you would like to send an email. This does not require the permission of messages, such as the user has total control over what is sent (if anything).

  So, it looks like you want to record the information of the application within your guest and somehow that will send to your vCenter or ESX (i) host? Why not just log on to the virtual machine?

  If you want to do this, you will need to use a server technology.

  Even if Adobe has added the ability to read and write from the local file system for Player10, you can it work WITH the users permission. This means that the user has to make the transfer by pressing a button and selecting a file to open, or a place to record in. No auto-save files.

  You can "circumvent" it by building an AIR application. AIR applications are installed on the users computer, and installing the user gives you permission to write on their drive. Only you will be able to write invisibly in specific folders (those that your application uses directly), but you will be able to write something invisibly.

The problem is that when I call the stored proc I get an error: ORA-22950: cannot ORDER objects without map or ORDER method. I use UNION ALL and this problem is avoided, but I don't know how to implement a method of CONTROL. All I have to do is basically be given the ability to union in procs stored using this type. Can anyone help, I am quite new to this and struggling with why this is necessary when the 2 items I use the Union on both are the same with all the parameters in the correct order? Any help will be great. I can't seem to find a good example of how I have this issue.

  With other words when you put laptop IT you press F2 to enter the BIOS settings. In the Advanced BIOS options, I think you will find this option and using free space on the keyboard button you can change for people with reduced mobility. Save the settings and the work is done.

  I use a Satellite M60 laptop with Win XP and I bought this laptop on 11/15/2005.

  I use hypotheek virus protection software and some anti-sypware tools.

  But from the beginning to use notebook without user action.

  I can't solve the problem because the parameters for the laptop are "Office" and never "stop" for the hard drive and monitor in the energyoptions.
  'Standby' is set to 'never' too.

  I thought, that Toshiba tools are the problem and so I uninstall them, but this does not solve the problem.

  Who have had the same problem and solved it?
