• SVChost.exe cpu issue with XP Pro after removal of Trojan

  My sister recently downloaded a virus on my computer. I removed the Trojan horse and have had problems with SVChost.exe are beginning to eat time CPU. This is usually triggered when I start Firefox. It may be unrelated, but I do not. I did a uninstall/reinstall on Firefox and now it will briefly be blip in the Task Manager process tab, but it disappears almost immediately.

  I service Pack3 on my machine, so I don't think it's the SVChost service Pack3 fixed problem. I ran a repair of XP once I have nuked the Trojan horse. I ran across the virus alarm area scan, adaware, and malwarebytes to make sure that the thing had gone gone gone.

  I did a check on what is in the regedit for svchost, and it has the following:

  I did some research, and I don't know where to go next. I think it's a registry issue maybe, or a svchost corrupt, but since I have service pack 3, I don't know if there is something else I can do, especially since the question seems to start when I start Firefox. Don't use not Firefox may be an answer, but I really want to make sure that the problem is resolved so that my computer is not get no more corrupt than it already is.

  I saw in my research programs will supposedly fix your registry database, but they seem to be more malicious sites, so I am wary of downloading something that is not specifically to Microsoft. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I might want to do next? Everything I've read seems to indicate the problem but not the solution. Thank you for taking the time to watch it!

  I think that I fixed it. I have re-ran all my antivirus programs and I did forget to empty my cache and temporary files. I clear up the registry and system files. I think that the real culprit was Zone alarm. They have this new feature, called force shield. I didn't know that there was a cache that had to be cleared out. Thus, the register needed to be cleared up, but the problem of Firefox was my firewall program. My machine worked fine for the last half hour with no slow worms down or my sessions of cpu overloaded. I run a defrag during the night to make sure. But it seems that everything is copacetic. Thank you so much both to look at this for me. I have not had a virus in 10 years and I forgot what I didn't.

  I just bought and downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.  When I try to launch it I get the message that the serial number provided is valid, but a product calling is not found on my computer.  Acrobat Pro 11 is on my computer.  The list of eligible products does not include the 11 Pro.  When I chose any other product I get the message "error".

  It seems that the aircraft had WB335 WLan Atheros 802.11bgn card.
  I think it depends on the standard WLan that is selected and used by the Access Point.

  Also in the last tab power management, you must deselect the option which disables WiFi in order to save energy. So make sure that is not marked.

  Last but not least attention to the parameters of encryption like WEP, WPA (TKIP, AES, I, II).
  Different encryption settings can affect connectivity.

• Errors C++ with Quattro pro (resolved)

  Just installed Corel Family Pack 5 in a 64-bit Windows 7 system. This is a new system. Word Perfect works fine but I get errors with Quattro Pro. I found similer threads but no good answer.

  The error is:

  This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.

  Nothing happens that the program will not work. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling without success.

  I found a modest work but rather strange autour for the issue but do not understand how this work could some possible work. I discovered this by accident. I remember the first day I saw Quattro Pro works as I tested it when I installed it.

  Then, I started to think and remember the file I tested it on a flash drive. So I got out the flash drive and found a file and clicked on it, all open as it should. Could even open the program from the shortcut on the start menu. So I then copied the file on the desktop and safely removed the flash drive and tried to open the file again got the same errors. Replaced the flash drive and everything works again.

  Decided to try the other flash drives those untouched without files on them what so ever and that's with a connected flash only drive in the works of Quattro Pro (11) fine. Remove the flash drive and he leaves again.

  I do not understand what having a flash drive all attached flash player would have to do with the programme of work, but it does. It would be awesome if someone had an answer to this question. But at least I can use the program with a connected flash drive.

  After hours of internet research I finally found a solution to this problem. I found others asking the same question but no answer. Finally, I came across the solution directly on the site of Corel. I have checked several times before, but didn't find the answer.

  The solution is very simple, but requires to go into the registry.

  This is a quote from the Page of Corel.

  OK I know it says Vista but I took a chance and tried it on Windows 7 64 bit and it worked.
  Note the registry path that indicates a key file called 13, which is actually a variable as I have Family Pack 5 and my 13 called 11. It seems that this problem is also the Quattro Pro 11, 12 and 13, maybe even older and more recent versions also.

  Delete this key removes the list of Quattro Pro Recient.

• U2414H - problem with Surface Pro 3

  This has been a constant problem. We have a number of these monitors and we have a user with a Surface Pro 3 problems where every few weeks or so, one of his monitors will stop running.  Usually after swapping the monitor with another, he will work for a few weeks and then stops again.  The user has a docking station of Surface that we had originally two monitors connected in Garland for the DisplayPort. The user wants to add a third U2414H, but we could never that daisy chain on the other.  The user has added a diamond USB adapter which used DisplayLink and we had three monitors working.  Now, this week he came in and one of the monitors connected DisplayPort adapter does not work.  All three are U2414H and we exchanged out them with other U2414H monitors we have in our office to try to make them work.  Are there rules that we must follow to prevent them to stop constantly working with the surface?  Is this a problem of windows 8?  Thank you.

  Problem =
  * When the SP3 is anchored and double are connected using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain), one or two screens will not be recognized after restart or power cycling the SP3. In both cases, the resulting no video appearing on external displays.
  * Some displays will expose rip video on the secondary display, what installation using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain).
  * A view not to return to video mode displayed after recovering from power save mode.

  Workaround short term =
  SP3 Dock CDM on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #1 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor
  CDM SP3 on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #2 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor

  Long term = solution
  Microsoft is aware of the issue with their dock. They are developing a dongle special connector to the dock that works with the process of formation of link to boost the signal strength has negotiated with external monitors. As to when this will be available in September. Note the dongle won't be available in stores. You should open a case with Microsoft and show them that the problem occurs when you connect directly to the dock AMD and using double monitors in a DP 1.2 Garland of STD. They will then send you the dongle. I've heard other customers of this front line support Microsoft has not yet heard this dongle. Then wait until September to contact them.

  Launcher Pro use is secure on the Droid X? Is install themes such as the installation of ROMA? Or they just do the new selector House different almost as complete a skin instead of a change?

  This is my favorite application and there is so much you can do with it. I also think that widgets are the best out there.

• Anyone know of any compatibility issues with Windows 8 and RV series routers?

  I have a small network with a laptop computer, Windows 8, Windows XP desktop computer and a network MyBookLiveDuo storage device. I have sharing enabled between these devices. Everything worked well on a network switch. I replaced the switch with the RV110W VPN Firewall Router to add better security to my network before I have expand it. Since then, I have a laptop Windows 8 intermittent connectivity while the connectivity of the XP desktop computer shows no problem.

  On the laptop Windows 8 I ran network troubleshooting, and he complained that two devices on the network are (NAT) network address translation and the symptoms he describes is what I see. Problem is that I don't have a network Analyzer to look at the network in more depth. I looked online for the RV110W documentation and if NAT is listed as one of the characteristics, there is no discussion in the documentation on how to manage this feature in the router.

  I can connect to the Windows 8 laptop from Office XP and access shared content. I can connect to the Duo since Office XP without difficulty.   The fact that I am not having the form of the XP desktop computer problem makes me think that a compatibility issue with Windows 8. Does anyone know if Windows 8 did anything with NAT? I try to get help from Microsoft Technical Support, but their level 1 tech told me to call Tech Support Pro when they open later this morning. Support cat Cisco won't open until Monday at 09:00.

  Also, throughout this connection problem Internet from the laptop through the router is never interrupted. It's strictly connectivity with other devices on the internal network that comes and goes.

  NAT must not play unless your applications on the internet. The "port Internet" or "WAN port" is a NAT port that converts your public IP address from ISP to your LAN subnet addresses. NAT allows multiple computers on a network to use 1 public IP address.

  If your devices are connected to the Ether "LAN ports" they are not affected by NAT unless they are Web applications. 4 'LAN ports"are 2 layer switch ports. This means that all local requests are forwarded by the switch ports.

  This device did replace exactly? The XP computers, DUET and window 8, make these products using the static IP address or you allow the RV110 to assign an IP address automatically? What IP address you are using on the LAN of the RV110?

  I always have the same problem with T-Mobile by sending emails. I have all my settings correct and with incoming and outgoing servers (using T-Mobile) and I can only receive, not send them. I'm extremely frustrated with that by the way I think about the passage of carriers to Verizon and get rid of the phone. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved Palm and treo. I thought that if I got the unlocked version of the Pro, it would work just as my Treo 755 has no problem. The only thing really different between the Pro and the 755 is now that it is running Windows Mobile software vs of the Palm (and of course all the improvements). I really need help on this cause I am actually count the days here until I change provider and go BlackBerry. Someone keep me a person of Palm and help out me! Thank you!

  How are you connected to the internet? You're behind a corporate firewall particularly safe? You're on Mac or Windows? You have an anti-malware software running on your computer which can prevent applications other than your browser to connect to internet?

  You can try the steps below:

  1. close the application of creative cloud.

  2. navigate to the OOBE folder.

  Windows: [system drive]: \Users\ [user name] \AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

  Mac OS: /Users/ [user name] / folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe / OOBE

  3. delete the opm.db file.

  4. launch creative cloud.
