GlassFish State HTTP 500 Apex

I well I'll make my life easier (as I am new to Oracle) by installing the Apex 4.01 on my Oracle 11 g on Microsoft Server 2008 with GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.0.1

ApexListner and configured - works fine.
Follow the instructions in Oracle to the letter, all work until I try to start the Application Express (http:// < mylocalhost >:8080/apex/apex_admin) and I get):

HTTP status 500 - system unavailable. Please try again later.
type: status report
message: System unavailable. Please try again later.
Description: the server encountered an internal error (System unavailable. Please try again later.) as he stopped to meet that demand.
GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.0.1

No idea how I can get at the bottom of this?
Is it possible that GlassFish does not work on Microsoft Server 2008?

Izzy, can you check that installation XDB is quite valid.

xdb needs permissions on the dbms_lob (shown before in a newspaper) and dbms_job to function. Also I had problems with previous CPU/security patch where dbms_lob is revoked from the public and had it break xdb and I also saw an apex install complain about the absence of privileges on the dbms_lob and fail, who then worked on the grant.

Yes, this could be a possible bug that during the upgrade permissions are not defined properly.

What you can do is open the file/etc/sudoers, and towards the end, there should be the following line

vco     ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /etc/init.d/vco-server, /etc/init.d/vco-configurator

Replace it with the following line

vco     ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /etc/init.d/vco-server, /etc/init.d/vco-configurator, /var/lib/vco/configuration/bin/config_liagent.sh

Never use caps - its considered bad manners, IE. you're shouting.

HTTP 500 is unfortunately for you, a generic error that appears when the program you are using (WMP 9 in your case) cannot think of anything else to report.

Just to complicate things a bit more, it is not a fault on your machine, but comes rather from the server and cannot be corrected on this machine.

However, the upgrading to WMP10 or 11 and see if the same thing happens.

Salvation; Please forgive my PC literacy is near the bottom of the range, but I recently started getting errors. I can browse the Web, but when I log on say Web site common CBSSports and try opening a session I did a million times - the screen blanks out and tells me unable to access Web pages and when I ask for more info... HTTP 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

Hello team,
I get this error HTTP 500 Internal Server Error whenever I try to access our predetermined (2).
I can access the other 3 very well.
Two of my other coworkes can access ALL predetermined very well. It just seems to be local to my machine.
I still am able to confduct exports and scripts for action for the hierarchy with no problems.
Anyone have any ideas?

Error HTTP 500 HOL - vSphere Distributed Switch from A to Z-

It seems that there are problems with the "vSphere Distributed Switch from A to Z" HOL. I get the following error message when you try to access the laboratory (see screen capture below). Other labs are working fine for me. I tried to access this laboratory of 5 different computers with the same results.
There was a communication error with the server. Try again in: 26

I want to allow access to the photos (BLOBs) stored in the database via a RESTful APEX service.

I have an API of PL/SQL existing based on wpg_docload.download_file works well when called directly on the URL (for example granted to APEX_PUBLIC_USER). I would like to re - use this API because it a lot of other things, including security and the cache.

However, when I call this API with APEX 4.2.1 Restful WebService (the GET - PL/SQL source type resource manager) I get a "500 - internal server error" back to the listener of the APEX (2.0.0.354.17.08 - both running standalone or with Tomcat 7) - console log attached.

A similar approach - APEX RESTful WebService API in PL/SQL call - works fine for the content of the STRING/CLOB. So it must be something to do with the wpg_docload.download_file

No idea how to work around this bug/feature or a suggestion for an alternative approach will be appreciated.

Advice on the implementation of a server HTTP for APEX
Hi Experts,

I am very busy to configure an application in the APEX, and we are about to deploy it on our production servers.

Side database is fine, but I have a few questions on the HTTP server.
(I just trained as an engineer, working with databases for a few years but the world of HTTP is fairly new for me).

-What is the best option for the HTTP Server?
I tested autonomous apex_listener now and under Server GlassFish.

When we move to production, I'm looking at:
-max 10 concurrent users
-windows 2003-based Web server
-APEX 4.1
-oracle 10.2

-Once we have installed the APEX on the database server, we keep the apex available files, or can I just remove?
(I know I need the file apex\images on the Web server).

The stand-alone mode is intended to be used for development/testing purposes only. If you are considering a production deployment, use a server JEE 'full share '. GlassFish is an option. You can simply delete the installation package, but you might want to keep some files for the tasks of maintenance and development, for example apxchpwd.sql in order to reset the password for the internal ADMIN of the APEX and the content apex\utilities if you need to reset the image prefix or use APEX based on java to export to export the line of command/script function (multiple) APEX applications.

Error HTTP 500 - internal server error code
Hello

Before you start, I google this problem for 2 weeks now, haven't tried many suggestions on the previous forums al Lrevetu no chance. You are my last hope!

Using Dreamweaver 8, SQL server (express edition) win XP pro with IIS, .net 2.0 framework, MDAC2.7

Here's the problem, I have the configuration database everything correctly, cannot access it via the browser etc. no problem.

In dreamweaver 8, I create a new dynamic ASP VB Script page to connect to the same database - Bingo! everything works like a charm.

I then change the site to use ASP.NET VB as a model (because that's what I would like to develpop my app in), create a page ASP.NET VB, go to, click the application Panel the sign etc. + > select OLEDB SQL Server provider.

I choose my server name, choose windows authentication as the connection method and then can see the dabase in the catalogue box and select it. (these are exactly the same parameters as the ASP page that I tested and worked).

I click on the test button, 'Successful Test' fantastic, I think.
Press ok
The next window displays the connection string, I add a name for the test connection click and get the error message "Server error internal 500 - Http error code.

If I click ok, and then try and spread my tables of the database = none.

I tried the following:
I don't think that it is a database problem, one I tried with access, MySQL, and SQL server all with the same result.
ASP works very well - ASP.NET fails. I read on other forums that ASP.NET "remotely" connect on the test server and that is where the problem may reside.
I copied MMScript directory to the root of my c:\inetpub\www\root\ directory since it was also a suggestion.
I added the full access of all accounts in this directory (initially after just try IIuser and those normal).

My test server is local, c:\inetpub\wwwroot\pbuyer\
localhost/pbuyer (not in front of my dw at the mo but can confirm it is set up correctly).

I can only think it is a permissions issue, but as a last resort, I gave permissions for each account in all records to try to resolve the problem. Other posters have reported the Macromedia could not replicate it and therefore could not provide a solution, and all messages on the internet, there is not a solution.
Reinstall IIS would be an idea of the gaffe?

Would really aprecciate someone post a reply that I hit a brick wall!

OK - I've fixed.

For all those who have the same problem (and I know because there are literally thousands of this exact topic in all directions with no resolution) you do the following:

Go to services to check that all of the ASP.NET services like running, for me:

ASP.NET State service is set to manual - I clicked on start and Bingo! I can finally access my database.
