  I had difficulty getting the Golden Gate to work with Manager HDFS.

  Basically, I want it to monitor changes to an Oracle Table propagate these changes to HDFS.

  Note that you can configure the adapter or bigdata extract to read a track OGG and one created by ext1 is fine.

  You can create another excerpt if you like and do the same thing as hdfs, except the name. Then add ext hdfs_two, exttrail ./dirdat/xx

  Yes do not put exttrail as the output of an ext hdfs hdfs.

  Now if hdfs_two works, lift a SR. provide the results of the information and report as well as your test files.

• Golden Gate clean transport logs

  Hi all

  What transactions, log files, etc. do I need attention or cleanup (delete) periodically to avoid lots of disk space?

  Just as the Archives of newspapers in database which grow fast and caused hang when not monitored, maintained and well managed.

  Are there things in the Golden Gate? For example, if the database target is stopped for a long time or caused error not able to apply logs the cause of accumulation?

• Golden Gate 12 c on Windows 8

  I download and installed this version GG (12.1.2.1.0) on a laptop Windows 8.

  Version 12.1.2.1.0 OGGCORE_12.1.2.1.0_PLATFORMS_140920.0203

  Windows x 64 (optimized), Oracle 12 c on September 20, 2014 14:21:36

  My version of db is 11.2.0.4 and I am able to start the process of Bishop and this command, open a window with the journal of Bishop, like the previous version of GG (11), but when I try to start an extraction process, not nothing happens and doesn't generate any newspaper or info on ggserr.log or dirrpt for the extraction process.

  I couldn't test the editing that you said about the specification of access roads. I installed the version 12 c database and it worked correctly with the previous railways.

  Now, I have GG 12 c 12 c Oracle database replication on a Linux machine with the same configuration on top and work very well.

  In theory, Golden Gate supports Oracle Database 11 g, version 12 c GG installing install says that this version of BD (11.2.0.4) are not supported. Of the other certification matrix Oracle only supports 12 GG:

  Microsoft Windows x 64 (64-bit) 2008 R2 Service Pack Microsoft Windows 0 + and x 64 (64-bit) 2012 Service Pack 0 +, nothing about Windows 8.

  I also found a difference between GG for Windows and Linux installers. Under linux, the Installer gives us the ability to install version 11 of GG or 1no Windows.

  In short, we believe that these are things of the platform.

  I need your help to understand the topology to use for my new setup of the Golden Gate. I need to have active replication on my 11.2.0.3 bases (2) in Linux environment but topology seems to much complex. Please help answer following questions. I have installed oracle golden gate and management available latest pack

  2 I need to configure replication using GUI, what I have to install Director of the Golden Gate Bridge to set up the replication or there is a graphical interface with normal installation of Golden Gate, which I would install my two nodes?

  4. is this average fusion dishes must also have an oracle database must be installed?

  1. I understand that I must install Golden Gate on both servers of databases.

  -Yes, it is correct, however, it is out of available treatment. (It does not change the authorisation scheme, but it can be used to make it easier to install / implement).  Thus, you can use a connection string in the connection (such as USER name, or ASMUSER) parameters and it will connect through SQL * Net. This can be used to apply data remotely.  In the case of the snippet, you can use the mode of ALO in out area treatment, or you could use a Capture integrated downstream.

  -This is part of the directory, Yes, that is part of the Oracle GoldenGate Management Pack.

• Good boot sequence of processes in Golden Gate

  Golden Gate version: 11.2.1.0.3
  DB version: 11.2.0.3 (Oracle for Oracle replication)

  We have a very basic replication requirement.
  
  Use of GoldenGate we must replicate the LMD to 9 tables (Uni-directonal) source to target. The two DBs running different physical servers.
  
  Is the right sequence of boot process?
  

  Step0. For initial load, I use exdp/impd of the tables from source to target. Now we the relevant tables in Source and Target in Sync
  
  Step1. Start Manager process in Source server
  
  Step2. Start Manager process in Target server (with DYNAMICPORTLIST )
  
  Step3. Start  PUMP process (secondary extract) in Source
            From googling, I gather that Pump process in souce can be started only after starting the manager process in Target.

  Step0. For the initial charge, use PPC/experimental tables from source to the target. Now the relevant tables in Source and target are synchronized

  However, please note that after step 0, you can be sure that the two DBs are synchronized
  If there is no activity of the application passes to the source that could have
  Insert additional data that might have been missed by the export utility.

  Step 1. Process of the boot to the Source Server Manager

  Step 2. Start the process to the Server Manager target (with DYNAMICPORTLIST)

  Step 3. Start the primary Source extraction process

  Step 4. Launch of PUMP (excerpt from secondary school) in the Source

• Data Guard Vs Golden Gate

  I have custody-transfer data disaster and now my planning to do more to implement the Golden Gate. My question is when you can protect your data and active pressure on the primary database using the Data Guard why someone should go to golden gate?

  One more thing, what is meant when someone using eve of terms and dataguard, dataguard active? Are not all the same?

  I have data-guard for disaster recovery and now my management planning to do more like implement Golden gate. My question is when you can protect your data and offload pressure on primary database by maintaining active data-guard why someone need to go for golden gate??

  One more thing, what is meant when someone using eve of terms and dataguard, dataguard active? Are not all the same?

  Active Dataguard is a device in which the database pending would be placed in open read-only mode and recovery (MRP/application log) would be ongoing. This is called as active dataguard and the wait would be in sync with the primary. The standby database when kept in open read-only mode can be used for purposes execute select queries. So, you would be having a function of the use of the database as a database, and at the same time the day before would apply the primary newspapers. This feature is available only from 11 g.

  In 10g or earlier versions, we had no such device. The database of rescue, if necessary use for reporting purposes, then the backup database must be open in read-only mode, but the recovery (MRP/application log) cannot be done. So, if you want that database waiting to have the application of fact log, then he must place in EDITING mode. If it will be used for the purposes of tax, then it must be placed in open READ ONLY mode and stop the recovery. Guests receive only 1 device at a time here.

  Without regard to regenerate the defgen file (or avoid having to use them altogether), what DOF you want to replicate in the first place? If I had a lot of changes, I would consider not not using the DDL replication. Stop the process, apply the DDL on both ends, and repeat. Or separate the objects where changes occur (put them in their own process group). In this way, not all replication must stop.

  Specify the control point table in the global file is every time that you restart your replica he get the overall point check table form file.
  But while adding you must always specify tablename.

• Portfolio Manager problems

  Since microsoft has improved their stock charts a week or two ago, my portfolio manager does not work properly.  How can I fix?  I have used this product for many years and really enjoy.  IF the problem cannot be resolved are other suggestions for similar monitoring sites?

  I think that within hours of the drafting of this issue, Microsoft has solved the problem.

• Problems since the 6/18 Portfolio Manager

  I presented several reports of incidents at https://support.microsoft.com/ph/7037/en-us.

  The incidents that added Transaction errors that said a symbol was invalid (even though it came in find symbol); partial data in MY portfolio lines; quotes never updated after the opening of my Portfolio.

  They responded to an e-mail saying Microsoft was aware of problems:

  Incidents were then closed without assistance.

  It has been more than a week, since the problems started with this enhanced version of Portfolio Manager.

  When will they be resolved?

  Can go back you to the working version of Portfolio Manager?

  Will you stop closure of incident reports until the problems are resolved?

• Problem of PORTFOLIO MANAGER: followed backlist and cash balances?

  In addition to other recent restrictions on Portfolio Manager, as no registration high and low of the year for the Fund, MLP etc, I does not have a way to track cash balances in my accounts more. I was using a Citibank money market account with the value of $1, but is no longer will allow me to add transactions or modify the Fund? PM now seems to have PMS. Any thoughts?
