"GPU acceleration plotted in 3D rendering engine Department doesn't have enough free video memory"

I just updated my AE 12.1 and it fixed the problem of crash on OSX 10.9 perfectly. But everytime I open the software it shows: "GPU acceleration plotted in 3D rendering engine Department doesn't have enough video memory (VRAM) to open source. The converter uses the CPU. To allow the traced the beam 3D rendering engine to use the GPU, close other applications and restart After Effects. "It never occurred before (even when it is still 12.0.1 on Mavericks) and nothing has changed after the Mac is restarted. I installed the latest version of CUDA (5.5.28) and my device is 15.4 "Macbook pro with the retina (16G of RAM, 512 G SSD and Nvida GTX 650 M)

Thank you very much

    Hello!

I would like to ask the pros how can I optimize the rendering of animations process?

I have a publication with text extruded with 3D engine layer traced to the RADIUS. There is an intro (text) and outro (text disappears). Between the intro and outro are just still frames, without any movement. When I go, I see how after the intro of rendering, each still image unique rerenders again and again. It is increases rendering time significantly, why it is happening? How can I optimize the rendering process? Is it possible for AE render a single image still animation, produce this next image is the same and jump rerender, continue to render fragments of an animation at the end next?  Maybe there's a cache or something else that needs to be enabled?

  • GPU accelerated, AE CC 12.1 problems

Then, I had problems with AE and NVIDIA since I upgraded to 12.1 CC. First of all, the application would not recognize the graphics card (Quadro 4000 for Mac). Then I updated the driver for the card, following the suggestion of other users. Now, when I run the application, I get a warning: "The accelerated GPU traced to the 3D renderer RADIUS doesn't have enough video memory", which has no sense because I have 24GO of RAM, 10.8.5 and 6-Core Mac Pro! If irritating! Someone from Adobe suggested to other users with the same problem to exit the browser when you work with AE. Go on, this is ridiculous! So I 24GO of RAM on my machine and I can't have two applications running simultaneously?

    Go ahead, Adobe!

  • Issue of Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) [Windows 10 Pro]

Hey guys, I got a little question about rendering in first Pro CC parameters.

When I create a new project I can choose the type of rendering as Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) , but when I restart my computer and open the project file I see this message:

"This project has been modified used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) which is not available on your system. Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used. »

After that I'm more able to change the setting of rendering to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) GPU acceleration.

I tried to use the manual method to add my card in the "'cuda_supported_cards.txt ' but no such file exists in the directory."

Here is the link to the method: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557

    Here are my specs:

    GPU: Quadro k2100M

    RAM: 16 gb 1600 mhz

My laptop is a workstation mobile Lenovo w541

My GPU drivers are up to date and just reinstalled them yesterday.

    I'd appreciate any help,

  • The Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration and activate mercury pass question

So, I'm working on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1 (my father built my desktop and here all the info I get off Speccy on its parts)

Now, recently I'm subscribed to Adobe first CC 2015 and I open a project file that was originally a Mac computer (the disc has been formatted to be read by the PC and I got this done before so thing Mac PC should not be a problem)

The first message, I thought "this project has been modified used with playback engine Mercury GPU acceleration (OPEN CL), which is not available or not certified on this system. Only Mercury playback engine software is used.

I didn't know what to do with that I just said ok, just the project upward and running and everything is fine except the audio continues by cutting. He will play for about a minute on it before the audio starts to cut.

I played a bit with my preferences and settings and preferences in reading, there is a setting that says "Enable mercury transmit." Thereby the option checked I get the audio cutting out (there are a few options with the audio device being Adobe DV or Adobe Desktop Audio sub and an option for the video device said Adobe DV and I can check or leave it disabled but results remain substantially the same.) Now I have it on Adobe audio, DV with Adobe DV checked and it goes a little long before audio cutting comes in)

Now, if I uncheck Mercury Select pass he plays wise audio fine but after about a minute, playback stops. Literally paused, it is it's not freezing acts as I pressed pause when I touch my mouse or keyboard.

I tried to do a new project and import all of the images in it to see if it would help, but the problem persists. My pictures comes from multiple sources, including a Sony DSLR and Iphones.

Please tell me this is a fixable bug and Adobe CC is not incompatible with the office somehow.

CineForm is a codec made specifically to be a "Digital Intermediate" or post-processing format. The company that created it was bought by the people of the GoPro and is used in some of their cameras. It is designed for the achievement of quality thanks to a multi-generation processing pipeline post, without loss of quality when a step is rendered on export to another station in the process.

There were two objectives: one, it kept ALL quality through export operations repeated at a high-end professional examination and two that it was like 'light' on the processor of a computer while encoding off to play as possible. So it is not nearly as packed as many other codecs (like most H.264 & tel) and puts MUCH less strain on the CPU. It's usually large files, well that say not nearly as big as as DPX frames-based form. Does a little more direct work on the disc reading process to have been a bit bigger... but... This is a place you should have excess capacity in your system. We rarely have spare CPU capacity.

To get it, you go to the website of the GoPro and download their free GoPro Studio, I think it is called and install. Who installs Cineform on your computer, and then you can transcode via the endoder that comes with PrPro, Adobe Media Encoder, which allows batch and same file transcoding and control things like a time for a process. Or you can do it via using Adobe prelude to ingest, rename and say: place the renamed files 'original' in a single folder permanent conservation while making another series of the same name but transcoded to X codec and laid in this case here to work with.

Of course, you can use the (Mac) ProRes and DNxHD/R (PC) to work with, and in their larger versions, less compressed, they work just as well.

All three codecs can be used for import in each program level pro, I know. PC cannot export ProRes that Apple will not allow the codec out of 'their' sandbox sand and DNxHD/R has been designed to work in Windows (although as ProRes, can be read / most of the Mac edition). CineForm works anyway.

And as always in the work of pro, we deliver an export of output in that to the customer at the end of the job. If the original codec of the camera and the codec to work when editing... does not matter. Other than to be a step in the process.

I have CS6 installed longer, so I don't remember the exact tree that he uses.  There are 2 text files, that you need to remove.  We're in the Premiere Pro installation directory, and the other is in the Adobe Media Encoder, a.  You locate the file called opencl_supported.txt.  You can find this file in the installation directories.  Delete both.  PR of restart and you should be able to choose OpenCL as the hardware renderer.

  • The GPU acceleration is grayed out in first and AE, but not in Media Encoder. However, the rendering is slow in all 3 programs.

    It worked fine in CS6.

Now, whenever I open a project (Pr or Ae) I get the message: this project has been modified used with accelerated by GPU rendering. This happens with all projects, even with those that I created in the Pr/Ae CC, with already disabled accelerated by GPU rendering.

In Media Encoder, the GPU acceleration is not grayed out, but still if I made a first sequence or model ae via ME, its very very slow. (takes 5 hours for a video that took 20 minutes in CS6)

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you, Daniel

I didn't have the time to post it yesterday, but you have found similar work around. What is happening is the decoding of earlier projects, or projects of the same version even sometimes won't boot the MPE of hardware engine. These files are cached and won't clear for this sequence until you delete the cache. 1 way to do is to replace the clips. The easiest is in the future change the EMT of the material to the MPE software and select delete the files from the cache when it invites. Then return to the MPE material and clear the cache again. That recreates the decoded files cache that often solves this problem.

  • Rendering time 12 times faster or slower depending on GPU accelerated effects?

    Hello world!

I use first Pro CC on a new powerful enough Windows system (a young i7 cpu, 64 GB of ram, double cards GTX 760) and just test its rendering performance.

I have a 20 minute video with 6-7 video effects applied (on its whole length), only for testing purposes. All these effects are GPU accelerated, chosen from the built-in PP. I also enabled the GPU acceleration for the EMT (Mercury playback engine) in the project settings and the render bar in the upper part of the chronology is completely yellow (not red), so that everything seems nice and good to go. I then export it and it's pretty fast, rendering time is about 12 times faster than when I export in Disabling the GPU acceleration in the project settings (by selecting the 'Software MPE' option only). So everything looks good so far.

Now, when I add to clip an single effect which is NOT a GPU accelerated (from built-in PP ones) I noticed that the bar made totally blushed and time of export (always with active MEPS GPU) is now the same as if I exported with the option "software MPE only! (approximately 12 times slower than before!).

Is this "normal" guys? or am I missing something here? I mean, one effect 'enough' to slow down the entire accelerated by GPU export process? (and essentially "cancellation" of all the benefits of GPU acceleration speed)?

If anyone can help? Thanks in advance!

I'd say it's normal.  Indeed, with the addition of this effect, I could even expect to take more than software mode without this effect, you add in the calculation process.

  • When the latest EVGA video card will be approved for Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration?

I built my system of video editing, Windows 7 Ultimate, EVGA GeForce GTX 570 graphics card and motherboard ASUS Rampage III Extreme i7 920 Mhz, 24 GB of RAM. I decided to update my video card for EVGA 660Ti with many more CUDA processors and 3 GB of memory, but when I made the video I got this message "the project last used with Mercury Playback Engine acceleration GPU, which is not available on this system." Software playback engine Mercury only will be used. "and it seemed that the rendering is slower. Even if the newer video cards EVGA have more memory and processor and power more CUDA cores and best score on Intex experience Windows, Adobe does not approve them and say that they use the GPU Merecury Playback Engine acceleration. Why? Quadro cards are much more expensive have less memory, less CUDA cores but are rated higher by Adobe for creating and rendering, why is - this? What gives? Why EVGA which seem more powerful and cheaper cards rated lower than cards Quadro? This will never change?

These cards just have not been tested yet, is all.  But if you go in the program of the PP folder and just delete the cuda_supported_cards.txt file, you should be good.

Just bought an Asus GeForce GTX 560 it just so that I can use the graphics acceleration on Adobe first Pro CS5.

Followed every step of most of the tutorials like this great http://Vimeo.com/13440307 and still the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration option is always dimmed.

http://www.urbanistgame.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/CUDA-supported.gif Add the last two lines that wasn't sure if it took "Ti", he came "supported" in cmd after the 'Ti', so I guess that's what she held.

You can see in bold that I put the option Multi-display/mixed-accelerating GPU 'compatibility performance Mode '.

Splash screen confirms Version 5.0.3 (update to enable the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration).

After all that 'Make and video playback' option is always used in output.

I might want to buy a Dell computer with the type of 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2 GB DDR5 memory' video card, but I can't find it in the list of GPUS supported for Ae. Is it supported or not?

The thing is, on the Dell Web site other computers are available that are especially adapted to the use of EI. One of these computers has a kind of video card "2 GB AMD over-pants W5000™", which is not in the list of your GPU supported. So I was wondering if the GPU-list support is complete.

Do not make buying decisions based on the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. This is a deprecated feature which is being phased out and replaced.

Yes, the system requirements page has an updated list of GPUs supported for this feature.

No AMD card cannot possibly be on this list, given that the feature requires CUDA, which is found only on Nvidia cards. It is one of the major reasons that the feature is being abandoned.

What modern map you get will be great for After Effects, because After Effects uses the GPU to almost nothing, and the requirements for features in OpenGL are a little weak.

  • Recommendations for a new graphics card for Prem Pro 2014 (Windows) which offers the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration?

    Hello.

I am inclined to believe that I could take advantage of GPU acceleration when editing as my PC is a little under spec. I have a card but when I switch to the GPU acceleration, it works but whenever I stop moving / play / rub on the timeline the preview screen becomes black.

I don't know who might be the best card to get for my reqs. I don't think I put great demands on the software, but it still hurt. Most of my editing is the lengthy interviews 3-10 min. 2 camera multi-camera editing. I still need to change the curves of RGB, corrector of three way color, transitions and sometimes careful noise reduction. One of these leaves of evil from my PC. All the usual titles, music & voice etc. but nothing too heavy like movies or the insertion of a lot of video lines.

I'm also a little casual work in After effects too.

    PC spec is:

Intel Xeon CPU 1.86GHz (2 processors)

12 GB of RAM, which I'll update to 16 GB

    64-bit op system

    Windows 7

    1. CS6 was the basis for a large part of the PPBM7.com site, it has been updated with lots of new data.  The single point of reference on this site in the three versions of the same identical scenario download and is perfectly usable for CS6, CC (7 first) and CC2014 (first 8).  Run and sign up to see the results.
    2. If my assumption on your exact model of the CPU is just a new processor i7 with 4 cores is better than your two Xeons 4 strands because they have no hyperthreading.

I installed the latest CUDA driver, I even added my card in the raytracer_supported_cards.txt file, but the meassage always pop up. In the Panel of previev my specifications of card shows correctly

That seems to be the problem - I have a decent map with lots of RAM Nvidia so I expect it must support a feature of 3d rendering engine.
For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
    Kind regards

It is not supported and that's it. you're wasting your time even thinking using this feature.
