• EPUB - GREY BOXES instead of Images

  When exporting my epub book, I get the gray boxes instead of images. Everybody run in this or know what to do to fix this?

  

  All the images are correctly connected and InDesign is to say that I have any errors. The only way I can get the images will be displayed ONLY if I select 'Image of existing use for graphic objects '. But if I select this, I lose the cropping and adjustments in the direction that I did in my inDesign file. I even tried to just copy and paste a picture into the document itself.

  Needless to say that I have spent far too long trying to understand this and did not progress...

  If other people can export very well, but you can not, then I suggest some troubleshooting your installation of InDesign.

  Have you tried rebuilding your preferences and then re - export?

  Have you done that you are not using third-party plug-ins that load automatically with InDesign?

  Assuming that you have done these two tests and are still having a problem, then try it on a test on your computer account. Package the InDesign file and put it on a USB key (or I guess you could just download the files from the link above) and then log out of your account on your computer and connect again to a new charge account with administrator privileges. (If you have not yet created, you should do this first before disconnecting... lol)

  When you log the new account, all applications are available to you, but no files or settings of the user of your other account. So, open InDesign download/copy the compressed file and open the page layout and export. See if that makes a difference.

• Window film LOSER-lists contained only place holders, not actual video

  I imported 14 strips with almost 16 hours of video on them in Windows Movie Maker and took a lot of time if it is no longer on a 2-day period sorting in 20 categories probably 16 seporate DVD video. This morning, I was going to start this process, but when I opened Windows Movie Maker and one of the categories and start composing video everything that was in the lists were place holders, not actual video. Does not work with a placeholder. My question is what that the f happened to all that work I did, where video clips gone? If anyone can help...

  I just thought to myself as with so many problems of VISTA PC.   Assuming you are using Windows Mail, if they are related images then check under Tools | Options | Security and check to see if its set to block images and other external content.  Normally, there is a yellow information bar that allows you to know that, but if you have IE 9 installed by Windows Update, which is no longer visible (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#15 for workarounds).

  You can also test to see if there is a problem with your machine or messages are actually the images you send a photo and then see if find you the correct.  Some messages transferred do not transmit the images sometimes that the e-mail sender program are not conform to the standards of the internet.  In order to test by sending an email to yourself to see if you can actually see the images.

  I had a right old job getting even the button (it is in PNG format) to go above BrownTech logo. I inserted a placeholder, it related to the PNG file, and then I made a custom CSS rule/class called '.header_fltrt' to put the image and drag it to this place, directly above BrownTech logo.

  To get the button upgrade to the desired location, here are the properties CSS "box", I used to .header_fltrt CSS rule.

  

  It is noted that the size of the header itself is 960x235px, and the BrownTech logo is the background image for the header class (and is 960 x 235 in dimensions).

  The problem I'm having is that when I view the page in Design view in Dreamweaver, it looks good, but when I see in Live view or in a web browser, it looks like this:

  A normal image is closer to 3000 x 2000 pixels.

  Photoshop works great for resizing images.

  Note that scripts that work with a document that has a large number of layers can be slow. With 20 000 + layers it may not be a quick way.

• Empty boxes instead of images in the compiled help file (.chm)

  Original title: invisible Images in the CHM files

  I recently noticed that images are no longer displayed when I read a compiled help file (.chm).  There is a big empty space where the image should appear.

  I just noticed the problem today, but it could have been going on for a few weeks.  I say this because the SAME thing happens when I open an e-mail message that contains a picture in Outlook 2003 - no picture, just an empty area.  THIS problem lasts for a month or more.

  Some facts which may be relevant: 1) operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

  (2) it is completely up to date with Microsoft Updates.

  (3) the CHM files are associated with the Microsoft HTML Help executable

  (4) until a few weeks ago, no problem was obvious.

  (5) after that I reload problem

  (6) problem persists after as I clear my browser cache (long shot I know)

  (7) when I print a page from a CHM file, the image appears on the page printed as expected.

  (8) OTHER USERS ON THAT COMPUTER DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

  I found the answer to my problem, and it's simple and infuriating at the same time.  It turns out that some time ago (months?), my Internet Explorer option to "View image" has been decommissioned (Tools > Internet Options > advanced > Multimedia > show pictures).  Because IE is not my default browser, I have not noticed.

  Now that I have activated "Show image", I can display images in IE, compiled Help Viewer and Outlook.  Obviously these other applications use IE as their html Viewer (why not?), and are under the same options, adapted to the internet, as the application host (bad idea!)

  When I change an image to the normal state for a different image when the user clicks on it, theres a light, no doubt noticeable lag before the graph changes. Is it normal for the Simulator? Im sure that would not be in the current system, but the offset, it is difficult to properly test my application. Anyone else having the same problem?
