Graphical corruption Tecra M1: display becomes unreadable

My M1 comes with an external monitor. Sometimes I have the video display corrupted. The display becomes unreadable and traces of the mouse to create a broad continuous path of 1 cm on the screens. It is barely possible to read anything on the screen in this situation; I can find just enough information to initiate a stop.

When you restart all is well again. I have re-installed and swapped memory autour, and I just upgraded BIOS to the latest version availabel (which can help, but I can't yet of comments). Searched the Internet for similar issues, without success.

Any ideas anyone?
Problem has been very frequently (monthly?) until a recent date, then 3 times in 2 days.

Hello

I noticed something similar but only when some files avi or mpg is open with WMP or Realplayer. While the film is running every time when I remove the external screen reader window or bring back to LCD I have this strange behavior. Just restart help.

When the player is not moved, all right. I really put t why this happen, but I can live with it, and I didn t try to reinstall anything because this laptop that I use for work only and don t want to change anything.

I just hope that we write about the same thing. ;)

Yes.  All of the skin of the MBP is part of the evacuation of heat, not only the arriere-charniere event.  That's why running the MBP on a hard flat surface is better, so the room air can cool down all surfaces.  He put on a hidden or your knees when running may block exposure to air.

High intensity running video uses graphics and CPU harder, needing cooling.

    Hello

    I have a Tecra M5 with a ladle monitor.
does anyone know if the monitor from an old M2 is compatible if I Exchange?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

To my knowledge the two models Tecra (M5 and M2) supports the 14.1 display.
The question is whether the cable screen M2 would be match with the M5 connectors

Well, it is not known to me but I think generally you likely would be compatible with Tecra M5 Tecra M2 display.

  • Display becomes unresponsive, the mouse moves, no click

I have a 2008 iMac that was a gift for my wife. Since I got it with there have been intermittent problems the display becomes unresponsive, the mouse moves, the clock does not update and you can not click on anything. the only way to fix it is to ssh to it and it reboot remotely.

I installed from scratch, installed 2 different adapters, 2 different drives and installed the Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan, from scratch every time.

I traced the issue, I think, this error - (com.apple.WindowServer) reported as unresponsive

Complete line is watchdogd [144]: [watchdog_daemon] @(_wd_daemon_service_thread) - service (com.apple.WindowServer) reported as insensitive

Any help would be most appreciated. Please let me know what details you need in addition to what I have provided.

    Uninstall the watchdog.

  • 2 revolutionary war does not not on Windows 7 (graphic corruption)

I just installed the game 2 war of independence (which is a game of 2001) on Windows 7. He used to work on XP, and it does not work until the main menu of windows 7. However, at the time of entry in the physical game (i.e. using the graphics engine of the game), much graphical corruption occurs and the game hangs and I have to use the Task Manager to close. He once gave me the BSOD also. All my other games (the most recent including red faction guerrilla, crysis, farcry 2) everything works perfectly. I suspect it could be cos its an old game, so it could be the graphics driver that I need to roll back or even windows 7. I need to know if anyone has this problem and if they have found a solution for it.

I have a Core i7 with a Palit Geforce GTX 275 and 2 GB of RAM Corsair DDR 3. I read a lot of cases where people are playing this game on Windows 7 without any problem. Please let know us if you want more details to help me with this problem I really love this game, but I also like Windows 7.

    Dexter83,
If you have updated your driver graphic and tried the game in compatibility mode so it's not much else you can do.  Game developers (if he's still around) will have to create a hotfix or an update for the game.  You can check the forum I-war2 on the Atari website.  They may have more specific information about the do work with WIndows 7. • Display upside down. Whenever I'm correct in my graphics card frame. But when I reboot, the display becomes upside.

When I turn on my computer, the screen will go up properly, then momentarily black out and descended on again once backwards.  I can access my graphics card in "Screen" on the control panel and turn it to the correct position. But every time that I reboot the display will again be upside.  I suspect a virus. I ran my anti-virus. There are no infected files.

Somehow, I think that the technical support engineers Microsoft if you uninstall your drivers, when you restart, XP will somehow magically understand what you need and install it for you.  It's just not the way it works is this.  If they were really going to try their own advice, they know how things work (or not).

The free MBAM should clean not just a "small part" - you need to clean anything it finds and at least we found things.  You can run again and make sure that it is clean.

SAS will probably find just a bunch of tracking cookies, but sometimes finds things MBAM will miss.  Together, they are a good combo.

Your stuff looks right to me and I would say you don't have a XP problem - you have a NVIDIA problem.

One thing you can do (if you do not already have is to go to the page of GeForce, click drivers and let it auto-detect your GPU and see if it has something new for you.

If your stuff was working fine before, what do you think might have changed since the last time it worked correctly?  MS updates came out on 11/08/2011 but if you got your video drivers from NVIDIA, you would think they would be fine.

If after that you still have a problem, they have a very active community forum where I bet that if you post your msinfo32 info (as you did here) and tell them the problem, someone out there will know what to do about this, because I don't really know...

  • Tecra A4 - display corrupted

My old A4 works perfectly for years without any problem, but now when it starts at the windows screen that it just shows the horizontal strips in dotty/staircase of color for a few seconds then comes error "blah blah stuck in a loop video adapter or driver bla bla may be defective, blah blah.

The laptop only works in vga mode (without crashing in this error), but even this has generally thin vertical strips of points evenly spaced on color screens. In a display of black and white text, the white text Gets the extra bits added to it which makes it difficult to read.

I disassembled the laptop to check if there is anything obvious, but I don't see anything. I saw nothing obviously wrong with the video card as solder joints dry etc, but I guess that the fault is with the video card?

There is no problem with the driver I tried an older image and original installation CD.

My only option seems to be to find an A4 thrown for work (I hope) part.

  • Tecra R850 - display driver problem - BSOD

    Hello

I have a Tecra R850 with the ATI HD 6450 M and every now and again it crashes and BSOD appears.
I have observed that mainly happens when playing flash videos.
After reviewing the events system, I discovered that there is a problem with the display adapter driver.

The said event system is perhaps a solution [here: http://wer.microsoft.com/Responses/Response.aspx/21682/en/5.1.2600.0.00000000.9.9?SGD=13feb1cd-4c8b-4c3a-aeee-ca4ca2c99729]

This Web page indicates that it is a bug in the driver and I need to upgrade to the latest driver to solve problem, and it provides a link to the ATI Web page.

I downloaded the drivers from ATI Web page and the installation program indicates that it is not compatible with Toshiba laptops.
I checked the Web from Toshiba site and I already have the last (and only) driver for my graphics card.

As it appears on the Web page, there is a bug in the driver, but Toshiba seems not having published an update of the pilot despite Ati...

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you
    Jose.

    Hi Jose

Are you using the original Toshiba pre-installed Windows or your own version?
Display driver original included in the original recovery image is tested, so you shouldn't have trouble with basic stuff like flash video playback.

Since when did you notice this problem? Can you give us an example when this happens?
    You have installed updates?
To be honest, I can't imagine that this issue is on the first day of use.

  • Tecra M7 - display will not be repeated after 10 minutes of inactivity

Hello everyone, I'm new here so please be patient with me! :-)

I've had my new Tecra M7 for about a week now, and while everything else seems to work perfectly, there is a problem with the LCD screen. By default, it is configured to turn off after being idle for 10 minutes. The problem is that it won't resume from this State.

I see that the laptop itself is working (he reacts to pressure on keys etc.) but I had to Hibernate and resume the screen lights up. The touchpad and keyboard activity doing nothing, only hibernate.

At the office, I use the laptop dual-view mode with external 19 "LCD screen connected as secondary display. In this case, the external LCD display will resume after moving the mouse or touch the touchpad, but the primary laptop LCD screen will remain inactive until hibernation.

My question is: do you have someone running into the same question, or that someone has any ideas?

I thought to upgrade drivers Quadro NVS, but discovered that the pre-installed ForceWare drivers (version 84.52) accompanying are actually more recent than those displayed on the nVidia site (84,26 - confusion)! Also he reports (everywhere in the system), it has 256 MB of video RAM, so the specification Tecra M7 on the box says 128 MB so I don't know which is correct?

Thanks for all the ideas in advance!
    RADO

    Hello

Certainly, the nVIDIA Quadro NVS 110 M on the Tecra M7 graphics card supports 128 MB of video RAM.
Graphics drivers from Toshiba are not the same thing as the manufacturers of original cards drivers. Toshiba drivers are a bit changed.
You must use the drivers from the site of nVidia, but especially on the site of Toshiba.

If there is a newer version of the graphics card driver, then remove the old and install the driver from the website of Tosh.
Additional if the new BIOS have been published, you can try to update. But be careful. Be sure to use the good BIOS and the correct procedure for updating the BIOS.

    Good luck..

  • Tecra S1 - display problem, even on external monitor

One day I was using the laptop, surfing the net normally, everything was fine and suddenly the screen went bad... (photo below). I tried using an external monitor and still the same, so I'm sure that my monitor is fine and it is probably a problem of display card?
I tried to update my display card driver and no luck, so I decided to use the recovery CD to restore the system and no luck once again.

Here is a screenshot after the system restore... y at - there a way to fix this without taking it to a service center?
    Thank you

    Hi borist,

It s really great that you could post a picture of your problem. Thank you!
In addition, you have already tried a lot of as the recovery facility and an external monitor.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a hardware malfunction of graphics card. :(

This means that you will need to swap the motherboard because the graphics card is fixed on it. Motherboard is a party quite expensive and Tecra S1 is old notebook then maybe you can get a second hand or laptop motherboard on eBay and swap it out.

    Good luck! :)

  • Tecra 9000 display driver

    Hello

I recently acquired a Toshiba Tecra 9000. I added a new 40 GB hard drive and installed Windows XP. The standard display driver does not allow me to connect an external monitor to extend my Windows desktop on 2 screens, so I downloaded the latest driver on this site. However, when I try to install the driver (S3 Graphics SuperSavage/IXC 1179) a hardware setup error appears saying this driver has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify the compatibility with XP. There is no other driver to select on the Toshiba site, so I installed the driver. At first, everything seemed ok, but today my laptop has projected Blue 6 times within the last hour. I've now uninstalled the driver and have not had any problems. However, because I have everything installed display drivers display is basic at best.

No one else has this problem with the display driver for a Tecra 9000 with XP? Or anyone knows other drivers compatible with my model?

    Thank you

It's very strange! All the drivers on the Toshiba download page are the same as the CD Utility & Tools.
Is your TECRA 9000 a European model?
Try using the driver CD tools & utilities. On this way, you'll be sure to use a right.

I have a Tecra 8100 but my screen resolution is only 16 colors, so I tried all the downloads on this page display driver, but:

S3TRAY. EXE cannot be opened, nothing to do.
This is the default or something.

The driver is probably old or something, but what to do?
I mean, I can't work with display only 16 colors, please help me.

    Hello

On the Toshiba page are two different Wk2 drivers listed:

Hi all, I hope someone can help with my problem. I have a Tecra 8000 and just reformat and installed Windows 98 Second edition, the problem is that I have a small window in the middle of the screen with a black border completely round. I don't have the original disks that came with it and said that I need to install the display driver, as I can change the resolution, is does anyone know where I can download this driver from, or can someone provide me with it. I tried the download from toshiba site, but its not available.
I also tried to change the resolution, but because there is only the installed base driver I can't change it. If anyone can help.
    Thank you

    Hello Mick

The problem is that this device is not supported for W98SE and that is a reason why you can not find a driver on the Toshiba site. The graphics card in your unit is NeoMagic NM2200 (MagicMedia 256av).

Please check on the net if you can find a driver on the site of producer of graphics card. There is no guarantee that it will work, but I'm sure that there should be no problem. Please also check the BIOS settings if there is an option called display stretching or something like that. If so he set to active.
