Graphics card for Compaq dc7600 cmt

Hi people

just joined this site (sorry if this question a thousand times), I just bought a Compaq dc7600 and there a supply 365 w, I want to put a new graphics card to play some games (especially old) can someone tell me a decent graphics card that will work with this power supply.

Thank you

Sarra

Hello

You might want to look over the following video cards from your PC only diet 365 w:

$80--->NVIDIA GT 440 25.6 GB/s - single slot width

$130-->NVIDIA GT 545 43 Gbit/s - single slot width - might be difficult to find but perhaps only in the store

An older but great video card is NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5 - 54.4 Gbit/s and a width of single card. This card does not support DirectX 10, which is eventually used in some of the latest PC games but it's a great performer.

On a side note, I would like to add the following: I want a video card that uses a passive cooling (silent video card).

    THX.

How to install the video card (by Paul Tikkanen):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-desktop-PC-questions/dc7100-graphics-card/TD-p/1919285

    Installing a video card...

Make sure that you first uninstall the current video driver. Go to the control panel and under the maps section, right-click on your graphics card and choose uninstall. (Remember to check the little box beside the text "remove/delete the driver").

Do not restart, just shut down the PC and unplug it.

Install the new card. Don't forget to plug the video cable of the new card.

Start the PC and it should automatically recognize the new card.

    Install the drivers.

    ----------------------------
Another thing... If your integrated audio system is disabled after the installation of the video card, be not alarmed. The video card comes with HDMI, which means it has a HDMI embedded audio chip.

After installing the drivers, reboot the PC, go into the BIOS and in the menu embedded devices, find the onboard audio setting.  It will be set to auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key, and once again, save the settings and exit.

On reboot, you should have your on-board audio back.

    Peace

  • Upgrade graphics card (for Compaq Presario SR1921il [product number: RC566AA])

as my system is old enough for the new technology, I have doubts about the graphics card, it can support...

Make my system of support of these base maps,

    AMD/ATI HD 5450 512 MB DDR2 graphics card,

Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card and superior? because my is a type of memory RAM DDR2, DDR3 should I use only DDR2 graphics card, or otherwise can be?

I really want to know the maximum range of the graphics card, it can support...

    Thanks in advance...

Your desktop PC are for some time.  (over 6 years)

You should consider upgrading your PC to a more modern unit instead of investing the money in an old. A new video card will not help the old CPU or memory. It will be still slow compared to today's computers.

Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card will work fine, but be aware that you must also be upgraded to a 400 Watt or greater POWER supply.  If you do not upgrade the power supply then the video card will not work. Your PC was shipped with a power supply with a capacity of 300 Watts or less. Which doesn't leave you much of a choice if you want to follow your desired upgrade path.

  • graphics card for HP Compaq dc7800

I am looking to buy a graphics card for my HP Compaq dc7800 small form Factor PC, I would like to have cheap cards. What would you recommend.

    Hello:

You are rather limited with 240W power.

I would get an opportunity low profile ATI Radeon 2400 HD 256 MB PCIe card on eBay.

This Dell card I posted should work just fine.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Dell-ATI-Radeon-HD-2400PRO-320-5891-/280798788349?PT=PCC_Video_TV_Cards & Hash = item4160e97afd

If you want that a new map of low profile with HDMI, you can check the link below for the Radeon HD 6450. But make sure that the card you get comes with support for low profile and read the comments on some of these cards where they say the basket of pins VGA closing case.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/ProductList.aspx?submit=Ene & N = 100006662 & IsNodeId = 1 & Description = % 206450 HD & Bop = and & Order = Rating & PageSize = 20

If you get a card with HDMI output, it will disable your onboard video, then reboot the PC after loading the drivers for the card, go into the BIOS and in device configuration menu, change the integrated audio system setting from disabled to enabled. Save the setting here and even once, when you go out. Then get you your integrated audio system and have also audio HDMI if you need.

  • Compaq dc7600 CMT acknowledges no more than 3 MB of memory

I have a Compaq dc7600 CMT.  If I load more than 3 MB of memory in the 4 slots, it only recongnizes 3328.  The bios sees 4 but when memory test jumps after 3328.  In windows, it said 3.24 MB.  Any suggestions?

    Hello:

This is quite normal and can only be changed if you have installed a system of exploitation 32 or 64-bit.

System memory gets reserved mainly for sharing memory video and other uses.

Only desktop with the will of chipset 965 or newer Windows based on the Intel 'see and use' all 4 GB of memory with a 64-bit operating system installed.

    The dc7600 has a 945 chipset.

And you want to leave the modules 4 x 1 GB in there for the memory works in DDR mode for better performance.

Or install 1 GB - 512 MB - 1 GB - 512 MB if you do not see the 3/4 GB of memory disappear.

    Hello

Graphics (most of them) in the notebooks are soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. You will need to replace the whole motherboard and also only use compatible system cards. Check out this guide for maintenance and services:

  • Pavilion 500-314: graphics card for 500-314 Pavilion update

Please suggest a graphics card for me.

I have the R7 Radion integrated AMD provided with the motherboard, when I bought the Office a couple of years. Max resolution seems to be 1600 x 1200.  I want to improve my (two) monitors and the graphics card in order to better support my work Adobe Lightfoot.  I did not and never going to make any game.  Power supply of the desktop computer is 300W.

I like to keep the price of the card under $ 100. I've not spotted monitors so I don't know what will be my target resolution, but 1600 x 1200 is too low.

    Thank you.

    @MarkG3, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card which should do what you need.  It's a little above your budget, but it is really worth the extra money.  The plug on the State of EVGA Web site she needs at least 300W to work properly.  However, there have been several reports on the forum think 400W is needed.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

If you decide to buy it you can try with your current converter of power supply (PSU).  It will not damage anything.  It simply will not work correctly.

Here is the video card manufactured by EVGA.  It shouldn't harm your system somehow.  However, if you have trouble with the installation, you can contact their Technical Support (1-888-880-3842) or online.  They were very useful for me.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  As you can see, there are a lot of comments and appreciation 5 eggs.  You can't do better.

  • P7-1245 (QW762AA): list compatible graphics cards for p7-1245 (IPISB-CU)?

I bought a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 760 for my p7-1245 with a card mother IPISB-CU. Product specifications say that the motherboard supports PCI-E x 16 video cards. I also bought a 725w diet to accommodate the new video card.

After installation, the computer hangs on the splash screen for HP. I can't even in the setting menus.

After replacing the card with the original AMD Radeon HD 7450 everything worked again.

I did some research and discovered many similar problems when people try to replace or improve the graphics cards in their HP desktops. Recommendations including the update of the bios, etc. seem to be ineffective for others, with the possible conclusion is the incompatibility of the Council itself, with the graphics card.

Maybe the card I bought requires a newer generation PCI slot and is not backward compatible?

Is there a list of compatible graphics cards for the card mother IPISB-CU?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

The list of the HP OEM below graphics cards should work in your PC.

  • Low profile & power graphics card for s3321p Slimline

Hi I currently own a HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p. It's a good system, except the graphics card.

    OS: Vista 32-bit

RAM: 2 GB (will likely move to 4 GB)

    Hard drive: 500 GB

    PSU: 160W

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + (2.6 GHz)

Course graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

You can find more details here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01297158

I know it's really hard to find a graphics card for 160W, but I really don't want to upgrade my power supply.

I would like to play the new Sim City 5, and specifications of my computer are satisfying the requirements (surpassing a number), except for the graphics. I need to at least 256 MB and the 6150 has only 128 MB. Could you give me any suggestions on a graphics card that will fill my computer and the power supply? Thank you.

    Thanks, help is really appreciated.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the difference between a chipset and a card, could you explain that? It is said that there is 1 PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card.

If you think that I really need a new power supply, could you give some recommendations? But I really try to avoid it, then, Yes. Thanks again and sorry for this post so long.

You have already linked to the card to your computer, but for good measure... Here are the specifications of original factory for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p desktop again. As you already know, there's only a non - ATX 160 watts of power. The only way you'll be able to install a graphics card in retail is to upgrade your diet. www.athenapower.com should have a diet that will power a graphics card with a system recommended nominal power of 300-400 watts power. Alternatively, you can contact HP, see if they have a low graphics power of cutom made card that will work with the provision of 160 watts of power. This option will probably be more expensive.

According to specifications, your computer has integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated chipset with up to 256 MB (512 MB or more of memory system). Basically, a motherboard with integrated graphics card has the graphics capability built into the motherboard. A graphics card, on the other hand, is a map designed to plug into a slot on the motherboard. As a general rule, a graphics card will be more powerful than integrated graphics card of a chipset.

Please let us know how you want to proceed and we should be able to help you any further.

  • update graphics card for desktop PC HP Pavilion p6-2378

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps
