Gray of RGB + Alpha .mov

The choice to choose a RGB + Alpha is gray when you choose the format of the quicklime on 2015 CC AE? Any suggestion would be great. It is available for the. AVI?

Choose the format PNG, JPEG 2000 or animation and it should appear.

  • How to export RGB Alpha

I'm trying to export a smaller third leave After effects.  I see no option to export with Alpha channel.  Help, please.

Make a Quicktime movie or Animation or PNG codec.  When you add the comp to the render queue, open the output module settings and give him Millions (or billions) of colors, RGB + Alpha... and then you have to choose whether to create a straight line (very common) or channel (not common) Alpha premultiplied.

  • Importing video alpha channel: what to export for Adobe Premiere? Reduced file size Important.

I want to import a small 20 second animation at 1920 x 1080, RGB + alpha superimposed, all less than 5 MB of After Effects in Adobe Premiere. What are my options? Used to be my go-to the file format FLV files. An example FLV pose this requirement would be around 700 KB.

Export in. MOV with Alpha as a result of this same file 700KB to 950MB (difference of size of files after x 1350).

Export in. AVI with Alpha translates this same file 700KB to 9800 MB (a x 14000 times difference in file size).

Export in lossless with Alpha translates this same file 700KB to 1100 MB (difference of size of files after x 1500).

I surrender all the little animations of 10-30 per project and make them all integrated into Adobe Premiere, so a dynamic link is not practical. This was a nice project of ~ 15MB will now have to be (at least) a project of ~ 20GB. This is not sustainable.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

    My choice would be Cineform.

The files will be not small, but it is an unreasonable expectation here, I think.  The size of the intermediaries is not usually something that worry, not only the expected results.

  • PSD export with alpha

Maybe I'm just having a bad day, but I'm so frustrated with the time that I spent on something so simple.

I am a user of AE... for a long time and I have simply never need it I guess.

I'm trying to export a still image of an image to a PSD with a transparent BG. I put RGB + Alpha, Photoshop sequence. The PSD frickin never alpha and instead just put a gray background and the image on a layer of unintelligent. WHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY!

Why not use .png? because I get a quality of shit with a PNG after resizing.

    Thanks for your help.

PSD do not use Alpha, it have transparency by layer and the setting save as PSD layers command will do exactly that.

  • How to paint accurate grayscale between 0-254 in an alpha or a grayscale image? Seems impossible... Work at 5.5... not in CC. Bug?

So, here's the thing. I have to be able to assign precise shades of gray in an alpha channel, that our code takes the value (between 0-244) and uses it to do its thing. I assumed it would be easy... Simply choose your color and paint... but not so much.

In an alpha channel, or even in a grayscale image, make a selection and fill it with RGB 6,6,6.  Since it does not seem to be a way to get a range of gray tones or the entry for Alpha value is th eonly way I can see of the to do.

Now, use the Info Panel, check that it is indeed RGB 6,6,6.  This is the case.

Now make another choice and fill it with RGB 7,7,7.  Check this box with the info panel and... its 6,6,6.

OK so now use or brightness levels to try to change this until 7,7,7 6,6,6... check with the eyedropper color sampling tool.

What awaits you is what the RGB value of 6,6,6... 8,8,8 at the 10.10.10, it is impossible to make 7,7,7 or 9,9,9. Theres a bunch of other values that are also impossible.

If you do the above in one of the RGB channels if it will work fine... It's just the Alpha and a grayscale image.

On the same vein, on a normal layer, fill an area with you RGB 7,7,7, copy it and paste it into your alpha.  Sounds great... until you use levels to increase the contrast and you find that what has been 7,7,7 is now a mixture of noise filled, I suppose, 6,6,6 and 8,8,8.

(NB. as a note that the foregoing also happened in CS5 but in an old version of Photoshop 5.5, it works perfectly...) I can give the 7,7,7 RGB and the value that is painted is 7,7,7. Put in CC and its fine. If it's just the creation of tones in DC that does not.

In addition, it works fine if you change the individual RGB layers... you can get 6,6,6 AND 7,7,7... but as soon as you copy and paste it into the alpha. .the 7,7,7 found 6,6,6)

    Then

1st QUARTER... What am I doing wrong?

Q2... If alpha 8-bit and grayscale images can take on values ranging from 0-254... So how to set the value I want actually?  I can't use the value of K, because it's only a percentage is less than levels and is not a separate entry for the alpha value.

Q3... or more simply... How to set the value of gray for a number in particular, for example. 7

    Thank you.

Ok. so with the very patient help of Chris Cox, I understand vaguly what is happening and why.

I presume its because PS is set up for printing, but the problem is caused by the inadequacy of the RGB and gray profiles workspace in the color settings.

    The default value is

    RGB: sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1

CMYK: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) V2

    Gray: Dot Gain 20%

    Spot: Dot Gain 20%

This gray value is not the same gamma as sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 which is put in place only 2.20. Because conversion occurs when EACH color space conversion, painting in greyscale alpha channel with and the brush color RGB is forced to change the RGB 7,7,7 to a gamma of 2.2 to grayscale to... is worth what ever gamma dot gain20%. What result sin two different values.

SO the solution is to change the gray value to the same as the value of gamma RGB...

    Gray: Gray Gamma 2.2

    So, it works!

  • ProRes alpha channel?

    Am I missing something?

When I choose ProsRes as the output me only allows ME to make my AE comps that RGB or Alpha. "RGB + Alpha" is grayed out. What I am doing wrong?

    See you soon!

    Hey Karel,

You can use ProRes 4444, but in order to get the alpha channel, you must change the settings to 32 bits, while the alpha channel can be included. It is similar to choose RGB + Alpha channels and Millions of colors + bit depth in the QuickTime standard dialog box. Check out the screenshot.

    Hello!

I hope someone could help me with this problem. I am trying to print to my DJ500 from Indesign, but the only option for the output color is gray and RGB. If I print RGB colors are off, very dark. If I make a PDF and print from Acrobat Pro it works well.

    Any ideas for Indesign?

  • Titles of lower thirds on transparent background in After Effects will not export with Alpha channel

I created titles of lower thirds in After Effects CS6 on an iMac Yosemite 10.10.5 running with a transparent background.  I want to make this file to be used as overlay on a video editing with Final Cut Pro.  I chose RGB + Alpha in the rendering stack, but it does not work to preserve transparency, and titles are degraded as well.  Is there a solution for this?  I also tried the CS6 Adobe Media Encoder, with no better luck.  Please notify.

Use your ProRes 4444 codecs.  PNG, or Animation.  No other file QT supports alpha channels.

  • Alpha channel / Media encode a Question

    Hi all

I have a question that I think is just something that I'm on. I have a comp with a logo. The logo is made up of various files and has no experience. Third, it is very similar to a lower. When I make it on at AE through the rendering that I have no problem and the Alpha channel works as expected when they are imported into the BODY. The setting I use is QuickTime > Animation > RGB + Alpha, etc.

This morning I decided I wanted to start rendering through Media Encoder. I watched that video Colin Smith has done a fight a year ago to refresh my memory.

I pulled the top of Media Encoder, dragged my logo in MY computer and everything seemed to be going beautifully. I chose QuickTime > Animation codec > etc.

However, when you import the file into the BODY the Alpha channel did not. Where the Alpha channel is supposed to be the play as video black BODY. I went back to ME and double checked all the settings. I don't see anywhere in ME where you can specify an Alpha channel as you can in AE when you specify "RGB + Alpha".

Is there a setting in ME to activate/read the alpha channel that I'm missing? I really want to use me for future renditions of model of AE, but unless I can work around the problem of Alpha channel I will not be able to.

    CS6 all to date

Win Vista (not that I think that any question of specifications of system in this case).

    Thank you in advance,

    Shane

Of the SOUL, add the file to the render queue and click on either the codec or preset to open After Effects export settings. Video basic settings by selecting a 32 bit depth will allow the alpha layer. If you use a 10-bit codec or higher, set the depth of 64-bit.

Either by the way, have you thought about dynamic link from Premiere Pro to After Effects file? It eliminates the need for an intermediate file and maintains a depth of bit up to 32bpc.

  • Export FLV Alpha getting a white puppet

    Hi thanks for looking in.

I created a puppet animation by using the tool "pin" went to export it as a FLV for size and openness, I get a white Alpha character where my detailed puppet should be.  What I'm missing here?

I want to export my puppets with a BG Alpha not an Alpha character? I would like the Web page appear across the BG and not be on a black BG...

    The parameters are:

    Resolution: Half - didn't need a 1920 x 1080

    FLV format

    Output of information On2 vp6

    Bitrate kbps 1600.00

    Include: Link to project

    Channels: Alpha

    Depth: Mill of the Clr

    Color: pre multiplied

    Final size 960 x 540

    Exit to FLVAlpha

Your settings say that you simply export the alpha channel, which will create a luma matte (white on black). So what you see is normal.

You choose RGB + Alpha, not Alpha as the export channels.

  • name with alpha channelIs bar

I saw a pod cast with richard harrington straps name in photoshop with an alpha channel. Ive doen this a few times and am careful with the result, but now I want to make a music video animated that I can import into final cut pro and use a strap of name. is this possible?

Ive tried to export only the channel alpha and Ive tried rgb + alpha but cannont get FCP to see as it dose with the photoshop files.

There are tutorials out there? If anyone can help.

Thnaks in advance for any help or advice

If you use a codec that supports alpha (few do) FCP threshold see. You may need to change albums how FCP interprets the alpha, which sometimes flag is lost. Animation and ProRes4444 carry the alpha.

  • The Alpha channel is recognized in a motion Menu?

I am trying to use a video from Digital Juice as my animated menu background, but the alpha channel is not recognized.  It shows the black color instead of transparency.  I am compiling in the form of Quicktime with Alpha movie.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Dave

Lol you can use a background of movement or the background in the Menu of Photoshop, you can't use both. If you use a background of movement, the Photoshop Menu background is replaced by the video motion, and the buttons are rendered above it.

  • I did this after intro animation effects and it was made entirely from photoshop files and my comp settings in AE is HDV 1920 x 1080 25, then I was asked to the release of the film in 1920 X 1080 MPEG H.264 NTSC 29.97 progressive, someone has an idea how?

I did this after intro animation effects and it was made entirely from photoshop files and my comp in AE settings is HDV 1920 x 1080 square pixels 25,.

Then they asked me out of the movie at 1920 X 1080 MPEG H.264 NTSC 29.97 progressive, someone has an idea how?

    1. to adjust for NTSC composition without affecting the report l / h.

2 - this film must be rendered in RGB + ALPHA, and yet the mpeg does not support this definition, it seems that the record will be in the video codec animation or other.

I am bit confused if I need to adjust the model, or leave it and set the video codec only.

    Thank you

If you have (or get) MPEG Streamclip, which is free, you can open the anamorphic clip and resize it to 1080 true. You will be able to choose H.264 as a codec. It will be if necessary deinterlacing. Suppose that the MPEG card is a MP4 container.

    Good luck.

  • Exported the first lower third titles Glitchy

    Hey everybody,

I've been browsing the forums all night and morning, tried to export a lot of different ways, codecs, etc., and the same problem keeps popping up, my lower thirds exported graphics are "glitch" in the first.

    Any suggestions?

Well everyone I guess by trial and error I found a work around on my own that works pretty well, export to TIFF / RGB + ALPHA / etc and their import in PP as a sequence works GREAT, seedless, very well. But I will say, there obviously is something wrong with my hardware (which I'm leaning towards strongly) or the software/codecs that create a huge problem when you export a simple small and QT .mov that literally glitches like the video card is dying... Maybe that I solved it here, but I use a different video card when these other evil that has nothing, resolved if the map seems fine (for now).

Anyway, thanks for your help, I think I'm okay for now.
