Great book report auxiliary of the Exceptions - query

Currently, my client runs the report, copy the output to excel and then places commas between each receipt number to run scripts. What is the msec, which is used to generate the report? I want to write the numbers directly in a comma-delimited file.

If you go through the responsibility of the Director of XML and data definitions, there may be several placeholders to fill.
Instead, you can enable the debug indicator, so that you can get the report query / sql in the simultaneous log file.
1. go to the application developer
2 locate the concurrent program
3. click on the settings button
4. research P_DEBUG_FLAG
5. Add if it is absent, name the token as "DebugFlag" (do not change the case) with the value defined as any YES_NO
6. default as the parameter or Y displayable and pass like Yes.

Get the sql code and change it to run separately.

I can get this working by selecting the Standard report column in the type of the column header . However this to say that I can't use the LOV LOV options involve removing the HTML characters.

Is there a way I can conditionally change the font with the above query and use LOV as well? Thank you.

I'm sure that not looking the application form first before posting this question.

    Your solution would be:
Please edit your report column under > report attributes > and select the property view as as a Standard report column

  • Classic report shows wrong "could not parse the SQL query: ORA-00942" error after migrating app to the new environment

After migrating my APEX 4.1 application to a new environment, one classic report displays a "cannot parse the SQL query: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" error when the page is displayed. Change the region to report SQL source to somehow (e.g., remove spaces, changing the order of the variables in the WHERE clause) immediately solves the problem, but by returning to the source of the region causes the report error again (the source region valid code without error, however).

    Throw the error message:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

where (: P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

    Do not throw error:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

    where (:P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

Changing the order of column in the report has the same effect; i.e. He arranges, but return back to the original column order causes the error to display.

It's as if a cached result for the correct select statement used by the report is displayed. However, the application does not use the caching of page/region. Any ideas of what could be the cause?

He solved. Ultimately, all that was necessary was to clear the DB cache using:

    alter system flush shared_pool;

  • Hi I am new to Oracle forms and reports I want to know the differences between the Enter query mode and Normal mode?

Hi I am new to Oracle forms and reports I want to know the differences between the Enter query mode and Normal mode?

Welcome to Oracle Forms!  Out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'new '?  You are a student or new to an organization that uses Oracle Forms?  Or just play with Oracle Forms to learn something new?

Let me start by saying that many of your questions designtime can answer by searching in the help of the constructor of the form library.  It's accessible, like most of the other products in the Builder menu > help.

Regarding your question, ENTER QUERY mode, as the term implies, is when it is in a State where it is accept input for the execution of a query.  When in this mode, there are various restrictions.  Yet once, it will find more details in the Builder Help.  In this case, search help for these two subjects, "SYSTEM." MODE'and "built-ins comments that are not allowed in the input query Mode".  There are many other pages that contain information about the ENTER_QUERY method, but these two should help you get started.

Normal mode, as its name implies, is when it is in a State of 'normal '.  Basically to do nothing in particular, but also not in ENTER QUERY mode.  In this State, you can move the shape, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, documents, etc..

You will find additional information, as well as a lot of documentation on the product page of forms of OTN:

  • How to have the filter query/dialogue opened when the report is launched in the workspace?

Is it possible to have a default value for the report to prompt the user for a value of filter/query when the report is opened in the workspace? Currently, when a report is released, it will display data from the previous report instance.

    Not really.

You could put a limit/filter on the query Section and then change to limit/filter Variable.

You want to add the following code in the Scripts of the bqy

    "" "ActiveDocument.Sections ["Query"]." Process()

where the query is the name of the Section application to deal with.

When the file is opened, you should get the limit/filter dialog box and when the value is supplied the query will run and update the data for you

hope this is what you need to do

  • the sql XML query report conversion - sound the alarm

    Hi all

I have a custom report based on an sql query (method-sql * more) I need to convert this report in XML. I followed these steps
I have generated the xml file by opening this request in the rdf generator (file > > generate > > xml)
I open this XML file in word and do the rest of the treatment
Copy the original simultaneous program (copy to option in set the window)
changed the short name and the type of output as XML (the same method and executable retention)
Add newly build it program at thr group asks even the original program in conc
now, if I run this program it will show a warning when I checked the journal (Journal of the conc program manager administer) it displays following error
    > > caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException: beginning of the element root waited.

When I checked the XML code (from diagnostics) I was following the text by giving parameters
    > > whitespace is not allowed at this location. Error processing resource
    > > Semi colon character was expected. Error processing resource

I checked the preview while I was preparing the model in word, it was a weather display data
by giving the same parameters for which I generated the XML code, it shows the same warning in apps
The log file also has the data...

    I use reports 6i, XML 5.6.2 and apps 11.5.10.2

kindly help me to solve this

    Thanks in advance

first question - did you just change the output format of your concurrent request (with the executable, type SQL * more) in XML format and add a template to it?

If this is the case, I'm not surprised, you get an error. You must ensure that you generate actual XML output. If you run the query and then click on the "Diagnostics" button, you will see a button saying 'display XML '. Click on this to see what you get. If you get an error, then it is not correct XML.

This is the case, you have several options:

    1. create a data model and use it to create the XML file
2 use the XML features in your query to generate XML (never tried so cannot guarantee this will work)
    3. use file rdf reports to generate the XML file
4 generate the XML of PL/SQL file

I suggest that you try option 2 first of all it should be pretty fast & easy to test, then use option 1 as the best solution if it does not work.

    Good luck!

  • Bills of the AP - query gives output in the editor, but no data found when run from a workflow

    Hello

I am working on a custom workflow related to invoices from the AP and I came across this very odd situation where the below query works perfectly well by operating in any PL/SQL as Toad/SQL Developer editor but when run in an Oracle Workflow custom, the query raises an exception NO_DATA_FOUND.

I set debugging instructions to capture the values of the parameters (lv_invoice_id and lv_hold_id being retrieved workflow attributes) before and after the SELECT statement and noticed that the values of the parameters are set correctly.

    SELECT type

    IN lv_match_type

    DE ap_invoices_all aia , ap_invoice_lines_all Arnaud , ap_holds_all aha

    ail . invoice_id = lv_invoice_id

    ET line_type_lookup_code = "ITEM"

    ET AIA . invoice_id = garlic . invoice_id

    ET AHA . invoice_id = AIA . invoice_id

    ET AHA . hold_id = lv_hold_id

    ET ROWNUM = 1 ;

Can anyone suggest what could be wrong with that? Having spent 2 days trying to debug this but without success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I added a function of the WorkflowTimeout JOB just before function which becomes the flag Match, and it worked. It appears like the workflow engine is somehow unable to assign values to the query. Putting a WAIT, he probably gave the workflow a second to assign variables with values. Seems very strange, but seems to have solved the problem. Do thorough tests to confirm that it does not break something else. Mike - appreciate all your help with this post until now. You were very prompt in answering my questions. Appreciate it.

  • Clarification of the SQL query in 2 day + Guide APEX

I worked through the Oracle Database Express Edition 2 day + Application Express Developer's Guide, and try to decipher the SQL query in Chapter 4 (building your app).

    The code is:

    SELECT d.DEPARTMENT_ID,

    d.DEPARTMENT_NAME,

    (select count (*) from oehr_employees where department_id = d.department_id)

    "Number of employees", he said.

    substr (e.first_name, 1, 1) |'. ' || Select 'Name Manager',

    c.COUNTRY_NAME 'place '.

    OEHR_DEPARTMENTS d,

    E OEHR_EMPLOYEES

    OEHR_LOCATIONS l,

    C OEHR_COUNTRIES

    WHERE d.LOCATION_ID = l.LOCATION_ID

    AND l.COUNTRY_ID = c.COUNTRY_ID

    AND e.department_id = d.DEPARTMENT_ID

    AND d.manager_id = e.employee_id

    AND instr (superior (d.department_name), superior (nvl (:P2_REPORT_SEARCH,d.department_name))) > 0)

I don't know exactly what is happening in the last line. I think I understand what the different functions but I'm not clear on the use of the: P2_REPORT_SEARCH string.

What does this string? This code simply checking that d.department_name isn't NA?

I have SQL experience but am not very familiar with the Oracle PL/SQL implementation. Can someone please give me a brief breakdown that check is doing in the context of the overall query? The application seems to work even if the conditional statement is not included.

    Thank you.

    2899145 wrote:

Thanks for the reply. I apologize if the information I added was incomplete. The code came from the day 2 + Application Express (version 4.2) Developer Guide.

In the section 'your own Application of 4 Buuilding' https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc.42/e35122/build_app.htm#TDPAX04000 , they describe the creation of a report

page that includes the "manager_id" and 'location_id '. The SQL query, I pasted above extracted from the data in other tables to substitute the real 'name of the Manager' and 'rent '.

for the corresponding ID values. It makes sense, and the part of the SQL query that explicitly doing this makes sense.

However, given that the document is a guide for the development of the APEX, I guess the command:

    AND instr (upper (d.department_name), upper (nvl (:P2_REPORT_SEARCH,d.department_name))) > 0

done something valuable, and I do not recognize what is exactly the value.

From a practical point of view why would I need to include this conditional statement?  Which only added to the application?

Looking at the guide in question, it is clear that the

    AND instr(upper(d.department_name),upper(nvl(:P2_REPORT_SEARCH,d.department_name)))>0

the line is completely unnecessary in the context of this tutorial, and it can be removed. The search in the tutorial app page is implemented by using a report filter interactive rather than a P2_REPORT_SEARCH element, which does not seem to exist at all. (It's a quirk of the APEX that bind variable references to non-existent items are replaced with NULL silently rather than exceptions). I thought that perhaps it would be legacy code a version of the tutorial prior to the introduction of interactive reports at the APEX 3.1, but I can't find explicit instructions to create such an element of filter in the 3.0 tutorial. I guess it must have been automatically generated by the application wizard when you create a standard report page.

If you do not want to see the effect he would have (as described in the post above), leave it in the source report, add a text element of P2_REPORT_SEARCH, and a button "submit" on page 2 and experimenting to find different values of the element and clicking on the submit button...

  • I just installed Firefox 6, and the report does more - the same problem you had with Firefox 5. What is going on?

You prompted me to install Firefox 6 tonight, because it addresses serious security/stability problems, but when I did this, the report icon has disappeared from the address bar. Reinstall the latest version of the report was corrected not it.
It's the same thing with Firefox 5 a few months ago, and it has taken report per week to develop a new compatible version.
Why this happened again? You not check this before launching new versions? Or, why at all not least we warn in advance that some programs will not work for X days? I prefer to be without the latest Firefox for a week or two, and no report - not least because that my Bank, I have to use the report.

Please advise as soon as POSSIBLE.
