Green bar after H.264 encoding

Guys,

I'm trying to convert a .mov in a friendly HTML5 H.264 video. I used the H.264 preset. After export to the Media Encoder (CS4), there is a green bar at the bottom of the animation near the edge. What is going on?

Thank you.

Try 952 x 336.  It is usually best if the dimensions are divisible by 8, just because of how encoders work.

  • Satellite L10-119 - Win XP green bar is happening and happening again

    Hi all.

I have a computer model toshiba satellite L10-119.

It was working great until some time he began to delay a lot at the start.
Specifically in the Win XP loading screen that this green bar is happening and happening again and again.

I have if it can be a program or driver or even a virus that delays the start after some effort I decided to do a format and therefore a clean install of Win Xp (using the supplied by Toshiba with the notebook installation CD).

Everything has been installed perfectly, and indeed this laptop has been commissioning within a normal period...

When I turned on the laptop the next morning he started to again delay the start to the top! Once again to the Win Xp loading screen!

When he finally connected to Windows I did immediately a reboot but this time it starts very well!

Just to sum up things... computer laptop .the delays at startup ONLY if I leave it off for a long period of time (i.e. for a day or more). And as in the first start! If it starts the first time and session windows logs I can stop or restart for as many times as I like (consequtively) and it connects without any delay.
However, if I let him off for a day or more and then turn it on, this model a lot to log windows! And we are talking about a 4-5 minute wait time! The waiting time is increased according to the time that the laptop has switched from...

I tried to install winXP even using another CD but I still have the same problem.
I though it was a battery problem, so I removed completely, but I still have the same problem...

FYI the laptop is always in the power socket. And FYI when it connects to windows performance is also great. No delay at all. The only delay is starting...

If anyone could help me or has an idea how to solve this really strange problem I'd appreciate much.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I guess it's very old notebook and I think that the HARD drive was not replaced in the last time
It s only I guess, but I think you should check if the HARD drive does not start to malfunction.
I doubt that there could be something wrong with the battery because the battery would not affect the start-up procedure it has no influence on the performance of the OS.

So it could be either something wrong with the part as a HARD drive, you know

  • Problem at startup with Vista - hang at crcdisk.sys - green bar still there

    Hello

I have a big problem and I'm not able to find a problem.

My laptop (Lifebook, Fujitsu A6200) always hang at startup when the green bar with the windows logo is moving (I restarted after 3 hours).

When I starts in Mode safe, it hangs on CRCDISK. SYS. I left it run for 2 hours and it restarted somewhere in this period.

I tried the Drivers and applications of restore disc that came with my laptop and it never found problems. I ran the startup of more than 8 hours repair and the balance sheet was not finished.

I plugged my hard drive on another PC so I can access my data correctly, it is not a hard drive problem.

I have not installed any application or any new hardware in the weeks before the problem appeared with the exception of the automatic updates of Windows. I don't think that the problem is a hardware problem.

If possible, I don't want to reinstall windows.

    Thanks for your help!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: Use system recovery tools to fix the problem, to access system recovery tools. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to access the System Recovery Options menu?

    See also the link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-system-repairs-from-the-Windows-recovery-environment-from-Windows-Vista-inside-out

    (a) System Restore: put the computer to an earlier point in time when the computer was working fine.

    (b) order to access Windows Recovery: run the disk check to repair bad sectors on the hard disk.

At the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

Now, type chkdsk /r , and then press ENTER.

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

    (c) run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Thanks, TheDarkTrainer

    Hi TheDarkTrainer,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

I need more information to help you better.

    1. What is the brand and model of the card its installed on the computer?

2 - is the first time you encounter the problem?

For single channel sound cards, you will only be able to see the green bar for Master Volume control and not for other applications such as Windows Media Player.

Controls on other applications are given to control the volume of the special request regarding the Master Volume control.

For example, if you scroll the bar to set the Master Volume to 100% and then play a music file in Windows Media Player. You can try to open the mixer Volume and increase/decrease the volume for Windows Media Player, you will notice that the master control will set the green bar accordingly and don't let not the green bar to cross the bar of the Windows Media Player.

If you disable the control Volume for Windows Media Player, it will automatically make the green bar will disappear from the Master Volume control.

However, if you have several applications running on the machine at the same time and using the sound card, you can try to change the levels on different controls to see the effect.

With several cards his channel as sound blasters, it would be possible to see the green bar on individual applications also.

Hope the information will help. Please post back and we do know

  • (Windows Vista) my page of video file realplayer does not open properly: the green bar at the top of the loading screen is not entirely

I didn't have a problem until 2 days ago... I downloaded some new realplayer (flash) video files, but one of them seems to be a MPEG-4 file (.. all the files in my video file realplayer are flash videos)... this curious MPEG-4 file will not be deleted: when I try to send it to the Recycle Bin, he refuses to convert & go... In addition, the page of the video file realplayer full is not load correctly: the green bar at the top of the page never quite fully charged...

.. I'm rather surprised that a file is nothing else than to flash video: my adobe flash player everything usually converted to flash format recognized before on my video page download realplayer... this file MPEG-4 all simply could not be downloaded correctly? Certainly, it does not play in realplayer format (all my other flash videos still play in realplayer, despite not fully loading the page video file of realplayer)

I ran a review of the file Norton: Norton says that the file is new & untrustworthy... but on a more positive note, says that the file did not any suspicious activity...

I did a complete analysis of the system of Norton, a Stopzilla anti-spyware scan & also an analysis of the registry... who say that I am clear... I also tried a system restore (with turned off Norton) who failed twice, so I went back to the last known good configuration using advanced startup... options that make no difference (..) I guess the restoration & configuration options are not going to make a big difference in any way, if these programs do not change or delete your personal files...)

This MPEG-4 file would contain some type of malware unrecognized by Stopzilla or Norton?  Can I download another anti-spyware program and another scanner?

.. or is it simply a coincidence that my video page realplayer will not open properly at the same time?  If it would open, would the file MPEG-4 immediately convert into a flash format & works normally?

Thank you very much... I have tried a similar topic, but couldn't find anything... I would be very grateful for any help or advice you can give... Cheers, Ashley (burnageboy) Manchester, UK

  • Adobe Media Encoder not using GPU at all for H.264 encoding

So I have a strange problem, it seems SOUL refuses to use the GPU for transcoding - I have a minute 9 4 k file I need to transcode and it takes more than an hour on a very fast machine. I tried other formats and files of that specific file and nothing does the GPU at all (using GPU - Z to monitor the load). Specifically trying to get DNxHR or DNxHD files in H.264 VBR 2 pass codec

    Machine: hex 3960K core i7 core cpu - GPU installed: ti 980 GTX / GTX 1080 - 64 GB RAM Win 10 64 pro

-First pro uses the GPU (actually 1080) for CUDA acceleration video

-J' tried to disable 1080 GTX in Nvidia with SOUL Panel (setting preference CUDA at 980ti, as I know, pascal is perhaps not compatible yet)

-J' original CC, no luck tried versions of SOUL

-J' tried transcoding other types of files in the case where this was a problem of specific file (animation, cineform, etc.) no luck

My gut tells me it's maybe a CUDA or OpenCL / OpenGL / DLL problem.

I had CUDA installed 8.0 for use with Octane render, but uninstalled and it makes no difference

maybe try a CUDA 7.0 installation? that would help? Any other suggestions?

    Hello tstopdigital420,

Is the GTX 980ti supported for H.264 encoding in Adobe Media Encoder or not? I thought I had read that it was, but maybe I'm wrong. IF not I'll talk accordingly.

Parenthesis - anyone knows of other software that supports rendering GPU accelerated by CUDA h.264?

I think you're under the false impression that the GPU speeds up encoding H.264 exports. It does not, but is a feature that is often requested.

Encoding is a process that focuses on the CPU in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. The GPU accelerates certain elements in the entire export process, but not the encoding itself.

The GPU will accelerate what follows in the export process: scaling, conversion of the image, blending modes, deinterlacing and color space conversion. The GPU will also speed up the processing of GPU based video effects, including the effect of color Lumetri.

    Example:

    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file of HEVC H.265 4 K, the GPU acceleration is not involved in the export process because no scaling has been used.
    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file, H.264 HD, GPU acceleration is involved in the export process, because the scale was necessary.

If your GPU is disabled or "grayed out" and he has capable specifications, then this is another problem of troubleshooting.

    Thank you
