• Satellite L - small green dot on the screen

  I just started my new computer and on starting the loading screen (black screen), there seems to be a small (possibly green) point that is at the top of my screen and noticeable only when the screen is black.

  It's very strange question. One of my friends has also M40 and I tested playback of DVD movies and everything works fine. It's very strange that you see these lines just while DVD player is running. Something like that shouldn't happen.

  In my opinion, you should reinstall the unit with recovery DVDs and don t do any installation. Immediately after the installation of the operating system is trying to watch DVDs using a preinstalled DVD player. If the problem persists contact the Service partner and let check the device. The unit is fairly new and the warranty is still valid.

  For all I know that the recovery image has been tested and something like that should not happen.

  I own an Alienware 17 R2 and I had problems with bright green dots on a second monitor I connected through hdmi on my pc. My current pc screen does not have this problem but the monitor makes and it's even worse when I regarder watch videos, look at picture or play video games.
