• Grid Question of K2 (vSGA / vDGA)

  Hi guys,.

  I have a few basic questions about the card grid K2 and their deployment vSGA / vDGA

  We have a lot of 5.5 equipped 2 physical VMware graphics acceleration of NVidia type K2 GRID cards.

  If I go on the PCI device settings of the vmware host, then I see 4 four pci devices to allocate to the virtual machines:

  

  Now, I am a little confused because I though that I could devote only a single physical grid K2 card to a virtual machine via vDGA.

  Why I see four devices? These are the cores of Kepler (2 per card K2). I tried to run 3 VMs (each with one assigned grid K2 unit), and it worked.

  How many virtual machines I could if I use vSGA deployment of two grid K2 physical cards?

  I also see a bug. If I allocate a virtual machine to a network K2 device, then I can no longer connect to the virtual machine using the vmware console, is this normal?

  The standard vga adapter is always present in the virtual machine. I just see the Windows 7 boot screen.

  Hi Viktor, and welcome to the VMware communities.

  You're right, every K2 have GPU:s 2, each GPU can be dedicated to a guest in your case, you can use 4 comments with dedicated GPU:s

  How many virtual machines I could if I use vSGA deployment of two grid K2 physical cards?

  It depends, with vSGA you are limited to the amount of RAM. On K2, you have 8 GB of memory on each map, you can maximum have 512 MB for each guest and half will come from the graphic ram. So, in this example with your config, you'll be able to start the 64 comments but the practical limit depend on the request of the guests.

  I also see a bug. If I allocate a virtual machine to a network K2 device, then I can no longer connect to the virtual machine using the vmware console, is this normal?

  Yes this is normal when you use vDGA, you can use RDP or VNC in the case where you need to administer the virtual machine outside the PCoIP session.

  I was installing 11.2.0.1.0 grid Infrastructure, but he came to the conclusion that it does not work on Oracle Linux 6

  At home, I have 11.2.0.1 running on EL 6.5 with no problems. For the 11.2.0.3, there will be several downloadable files and I guess, the number 3 and 4 are no doubt IM downloads. So if you have access to MOS, download from here.

• Fluid gutter grid questions

  To use the new features of fluid grid, you must set a gutter for the columns. Does to styling a pain unless I'm missing something. You end up with this:

  

  I want to add a gradient background to separate columns 1 and 2. With a standard layout, I am not facing in the gutters, revealing the background content between the elements.

  There the work around for this s? I can manually build the fluid layout, but then I lose really clever can just click and drag around the elements visually in Dreamweaver design view.

  FGrid layouts are a good jump start for the creation of suitable facilities. But if you want to drag a div around the screen, you have to accept their limitations.

  Use them for the process of creation of database layout.  Once you are completely satisfied with the basic configurations, you can manually modify code (if you must) to remove the gutter margins.  And use a separate stylesheet for your content.

  If/when you're exasperated with the limits imposed by the FGLayouts, there are several other executives & extensions to try.

  I try to install the grid 11.2.0.3 SLES 11 Pathlevel 1.
  
  I get the following error when running root.sh on node1.

  I couldn't identify what your problem with the information you have provided.

  But I think it comes from permission, because this error is emitted when it try to create a directory

  If this is a new installation try remove/etc/oracle and re - run root.sh if that's an authorization check to upgrade and the content of the files under/etc/oracle olr.loc.

  Permission of/etc/oracle should be chmod 755 and chown root: root

  A mistake can script root.sh on and/or in the event of failure under one of the following conditions:
  -Problem with the network configuration.
  -Problem with the storage location for the OCR and/or files to vote.
  -Permission problem with/var/tmp (specifically var/tmp/.oracle).
  -Some other configuration issue.
  -A bug in the Oracle.

  Most configuration problems must be detectable by running the utility of verification of Cluster with the following syntax (enter the nodelist):

  cd /bin
  ./cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n  -r 11gR2 -verbose

• 4.2 theme 25 question/help

  Hi all
  I'm trying to create multiple form on the same page, I lined up the entire region by using the grid alignment properties (create my insert)
  everything works like a charm on smartphone and desktop but not on IPAD
  Region seem to clutter each other, left side of the form region is confused in the text field.
  
  It is all though I should twig in order do not work on IPad.
  
  Also on ipad, only it does not pick up the URLs of smartphone, it still used Office url.

  For now I think that tablets are treated like desktop. David Peake has suggested in the future it will be a third UI for shelves - perhaps 4.2.2 or may need to wait up to 5.0

  Let's say I have a cost with 5 code cost journal

  BP budget approval, after that I click on New, can I add a button to the tab the line items so that when I click on this button, it reads all codes of cost in the cost journal and auto fill on the grid?

  You can create a new 'model' BP for this purpose. Line item type. Then add a line manually with a cost on each code. Then you can use the copy in your BP BA record consolidate the function to copy the line items to the new folder of BP (including all cost codes) into your folder of BA. That is to set up a model record once with all cost codes and then copy consolidate billing it to all lines new record of BA. would this work?

  You probably dragged the thumbnail size film of small size which prevents the display of the badges of Lightroom. Using your mouse, the mouse on the top line of the strip of film and then do slide it supports to increase the size.

• Stupid question: is there a way to align the grids online Adobe?

  While I'm able to line up on the bumper of the drawn objects, this behavior does not appear to be translated to the grids. Is there an additional parameter which must be running in order to align the grids on the canvas? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question and thanks in advance.

  Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for the very late reply. While you can't snap to grid itself, you can use the slide or the sovereign built into Illustrator Draw drawing and vector design app | Download Adobe Illustrator to draw to align specific or arbitrary angles angles.

• Question of balance-grid container

  Could someone please help me with a quick question, I'm going to?  When I create a new fluid-grid layout, save the file css in appropriate file, then save a project under "index.html", then save the dependent fluid-grid files when you are prompted 'mat' "respond.min", for a reason that the container of the grid in dreamweaver is not in line with the columns.  The grid container is shifted offshore to the right, out of the center of 2 or 3 columns.  Any reason why this is happening?

  Thank you very much for the reply.  I use Dreamweaver via Cloud Creative, and recently I have upgraded to Dreamweaver CC (2014), but he had used an old build... just Dreamweaver CC.  Since my post, I opened the 2014 version, and my grid container is centering as before.  Who knows what caused it, but it seems that everything is aok now.

• questions of fluid page layout grid

  try my hand at this thing of fluid page layout grid and I'm having a few problems. part of the problem is I can just try to do too much, which makes an ecommerce site and the page has a certain div inside, a header, description, photo, basket and price div by each element. the layout looks good in the mobile display but I can't get the divs to match the Tablet and the desktop view.

  I know there are other programs as data boot out there, but just don't know if they're going to face the same question.  the simple solution would be just to create each of these elements in photopshop and then each item would be just a div, instead of 5. but the question would then become I create the size of each element of the mobile view, but at the time it gets to the desktop view the quality of the image is going to be lousy.

  the last solution would be just to get a different url and build this page for mobile, have a link on the page to view this complete site and just towards my url which has the site office facing up and running and do the opposite on the desktop site.

  HELLLLLPPPPPPPP! advice or direction would be appreciated.

• IE8 question: fluid grid/reagents nav bar - cancel or in css overide?

  For a sensitive Bootstrap site: how to replace the fluid grid and the foldable navbar on a separate stylesheet for IE8 to render the page not compliant? Is it a question of weight or destroy?

  Respond.js may address other elements of "screen" for IE8, assuming that no one with a smartphone or Tablet using IE older browsers in any case.

  But if someone could give me a branch of How to deal w/ the navbar and grid of fluid in the css without modifying the markup in my doc, I would be grateful to him

  Do you really need support IE8?  Very few people still use it.

  If you are compatible with IE8, create a style sheet IE only with your office layout styles.  Insert it inside a conditional comment for browsers of pre - IE9.

  Don't forget to insert this after all other styles and style, sheets just before your closing tag.

  Always an observer should be third machine, which isn't yet primary/secondary.
  You have no need to install grid ORACLE_HOME, simply install the agent on the third server, so this Agent will download all the information on the GRID.

• DW CC - fluid grid & media interview questions

  Hello.

  I'm diving into the fluid in DW CC grid section as I'd like to target most of the screens. Just a few questions:

  (1) is it possible to create a template (designed for mobile, Tablet, desktop) and reuse for other projects?  If so, are there any tuts out there that offers advice?

  2) important - while I'm creating fluid layouts grid & using mobile queries, I'm having a hard time to target css for a particular screen size.

  For example, in both mobile and Tablet I float an image to the left, but the right float in the office. So under @Media I select Office (min-width: 769px) then the right float said img. But when I check the other screen sizes, the right float has been used in the world. I usually have to manually enter the css myself to make it work. Am I missing something?

  Due to the way fglayouts works, you need to create mobile first.  And then compressed.  Finally, office.

  Tablet & desktop computers, you can float images.  But you definitely don't want them not float in mobile devices.

  Do not tamper with the code in the files FluidGrid.css or Boilerplate.css.  If you do, you run a very high risk of breaking the capricious layout system.  Use an external stylesheet separated for your custom styles - like floating images, size of text, etc...

• Culture & snap to grid - Photoshop Elements Question help

  Hi - I have a question about cropping.  I noticed that when I try to crop at the edge of a photo, I can't do as fine a fit - it acts as if it is 'alignment on the grid.  There is a very small white edge that I am trying to get rid of - I have scanned some photos and had too much of a border around them. Is there a way to fix this?  Also, when I select Elements of Photoshop help within the program, is there a way to make the search results show just what pertains to my version (9 items)?  Thank you.
