  Hello

  I'm facing a customer who wants to give hardware acceleration for workstations Windows and Linux on a single server with a single graphics card. My immediate suggestion was that we use the latest Tesla M60 full control in a vGPU configuration which, assuming a compatible Linux distribution, will be able to provide acceleration in two flavours of the OS.

  However, perhaps is a more cost-effective solution to install an old GRID K1 card in the unit, and using the has vDGA for Linux desktops (present since 6.1 I think) I could go through a GPU directly in to each Linux workstation. However, let's say for example I have 4 desktop Windows and 2 Linux workstations on a server. Map of K1 has 4 GPU, so could I go through 2 of the GPU in the 2 Linux workstations and share then 2 other GPUS between the 4 GPU Windows in a vSGA configuration?

  I guess, in short, that my question is - if I install the vSGA VIB software driver in ESXi host, will still be able to cross PCI on the map, or the hypervisor will remove these devices in the list of those available?

  Two points:

  1. be very careful with the K1s - these GPU's are very low performance.  If you are wanting to acceleration for something like the Aero desktop computers / transparent windows and other things, of course, they are fine.  If you are wanting to do serious 3d games or things, you are probably disappointed.  In this case, I highly recommend the M60

  2. you can do VDGA and VGPU or VSGA on the same host.  That means VGPU and VSGA are mutually exclusive.  Other than that, you can split their place however desired.  Cross the first 2 GPU directly and the other have 2 do VSGA or VGPU...

  3. I saw almost no difference between VDGA and VGPU executing field trials of 3d.  I see no real reason to bother with VDGA on VGPU.  That said, VSGA is a defined performance has hit, but according to what you do, may be tolerable.  At least you can vmotion with VSGA.

  At home, I have 11.2.0.1 running on EL 6.5 with no problems. For the 11.2.0.3, there will be several downloadable files and I guess, the number 3 and 4 are no doubt IM downloads. So if you have access to MOS, download from here.

• Fluid gutter grid questions

  To use the new features of fluid grid, you must set a gutter for the columns. Does to styling a pain unless I'm missing something. You end up with this:

  

  I want to add a gradient background to separate columns 1 and 2. With a standard layout, I am not facing in the gutters, revealing the background content between the elements.

  There the work around for this s? I can manually build the fluid layout, but then I lose really clever can just click and drag around the elements visually in Dreamweaver design view.

  FGrid layouts are a good jump start for the creation of suitable facilities. But if you want to drag a div around the screen, you have to accept their limitations.

  Use them for the process of creation of database layout.  Once you are completely satisfied with the basic configurations, you can manually modify code (if you must) to remove the gutter margins.  And use a separate stylesheet for your content.

  If/when you're exasperated with the limits imposed by the FGLayouts, there are several other executives & extensions to try.

  I couldn't identify what your problem with the information you have provided.

  But I think it comes from permission, because this error is emitted when it try to create a directory

  If this is a new installation try remove/etc/oracle and re - run root.sh if that's an authorization check to upgrade and the content of the files under/etc/oracle olr.loc.

  Permission of/etc/oracle should be chmod 755 and chown root: root

  A mistake can script root.sh on and/or in the event of failure under one of the following conditions:
  -Problem with the network configuration.
  -Problem with the storage location for the OCR and/or files to vote.
  -Permission problem with/var/tmp (specifically var/tmp/.oracle).
  -Some other configuration issue.
  -A bug in the Oracle.

  Most configuration problems must be detectable by running the utility of verification of Cluster with the following syntax (enter the nodelist):

  cd /bin
  ./cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n  -r 11gR2 -verbose

• 4.2 theme 25 question/help

  Hi all
  I'm trying to create multiple form on the same page, I lined up the entire region by using the grid alignment properties (create my insert)
  everything works like a charm on smartphone and desktop but not on IPAD
  Region seem to clutter each other, left side of the form region is confused in the text field.
  
  It is all though I should twig in order do not work on IPad.
  
  Also on ipad, only it does not pick up the URLs of smartphone, it still used Office url.

  For now I think that tablets are treated like desktop. David Peake has suggested in the future it will be a third UI for shelves - perhaps 4.2.2 or may need to wait up to 5.0

  VSGA to install a VIB (pilot) from Nvidia, for vDGA that you don't need to install any driver on the ESX, but in the virtual machine.

  Correct, but you could also have a configured with vDGA and one with the vSGA

  You can assign max 512 MB to each virtual machine, half will come from the GPU, the other half of the memory of guests as overhead.

  K2 have 2 GPU:s and 8 GB of memory, K1 4 GPU:s and 16 GB of memory. The GPU:s are very different, but, the K2 have 2 Quadro K5000 and K1 have 4 Quadro K600.

  I have some experience and to be honest its very difficult to say at the outset that the technology that will be more suitable. I recommend to install a few test machines and let real users to evaluate.

  For one of my clients, they found the solution not to appropriate to their main designers but are several other usecases, teleworkers, construction sites, scenarios of training partner, access, etc. that makes the very successful solution.

• GRID K2 vSGA and vDGA Stats

  Hi guys,.

  I have set up on my card GRID K2 vSGA and vDGA.

  I have a desktop dedicated with 1 GPU attached and with dxdiag appears Nvidia GRID K2.

  I have several offices shared using vSGA.

  Both work as expected.

  However when I go to the command line and run the command of nvidia-smi it shows only 1 on the GPU. Now I know what GPU covers desktop vSGA because if I run an application in one of these workstations GPU-Util increases. So why I don't see the use of the GPU vDGA / not even arises? Is this a normal behavior? If so, how can I see the performance of the dedicated GPU?

  This is normal/expected since the ESX do not see the GPU that you went through to the virtual machine with vDGA.

  To vDGA, you will need to get inside the virtual machine statistics.

  We have a demo environment with view Horizon 6.0.1 2 ESxi hosts and one with K1 and K2 of the grid grid.

  I got network cards to work, but I have a few questions, or configuration issues.

  On the virtual machine that we want to use to vDGA I'm not sure what to have configured under video card, the only thing that works is like the image below.

  

  But this is a strange problem. If I configure the VM as the image and then starts the virtual machine immediately, it works fine. If I wait 10 to 20 seconds before you start the VM or ig I stop the virtual machine and start it again, it fails with the following error

  BP budget approval, after that I click on New, can I add a button to the tab the line items so that when I click on this button, it reads all codes of cost in the cost journal and auto fill on the grid?

  You can create a new 'model' BP for this purpose. Line item type. Then add a line manually with a cost on each code. Then you can use the copy in your BP BA record consolidate the function to copy the line items to the new folder of BP (including all cost codes) into your folder of BA. That is to set up a model record once with all cost codes and then copy consolidate billing it to all lines new record of BA. would this work?

  Yes but it takes some downtime and manual configuration of the parameters of the virtual machine.

  (Unless you do a few scripts around it and automate it somehow.)

  Yes it works very well! (Assuming you have at least 2 GPU:s or Board with more then a GPU as a K1 or K2)

  You probably dragged the thumbnail size film of small size which prevents the display of the badges of Lightroom. Using your mouse, the mouse on the top line of the strip of film and then do slide it supports to increase the size.

• Stupid question: is there a way to align the grids online Adobe?

  While I'm able to line up on the bumper of the drawn objects, this behavior does not appear to be translated to the grids. Is there an additional parameter which must be running in order to align the grids on the canvas? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question and thanks in advance.

  Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for the very late reply. While you can't snap to grid itself, you can use the slide or the sovereign built into Illustrator Draw drawing and vector design app | Download Adobe Illustrator to draw to align specific or arbitrary angles angles.
