GTX 295 with d5000t

I'm pretty new to the thing any "upgrade" with computers... as a matter of fact, I had never fallen before prosecute 2 days ago.  I read a previous thread on a GTX 285 the d5000t casing, but I have a few questions that doesn't seem to be an answer in previous posts:

  • Equipped with SATA connectors:

It seems that the GTX 295 will cover the first 2 SATA connectors, but I have 2 hard drives connected to these ports currently... is there a problem with re-login the 2 SATAs to port 3 and 4?

  • Power supply:

I need to know exactly what food to buy Corsair.  I know it's a matter of 'low', but the issue of 'pines' confuses the heck out of me.  My current set up is as follows (to help determine the power).

  • Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Quad Q9550 (2.83 GHz) Intel
  • 8GBDDR2 - 800 MHz dual channel SDRAM (4 x 2048)
  • 1 GB NVIDIAGeForce 9800GT, 2 DVI, HDMI adapter
  • WirelessLAN 802.11a/b/g/n & Bluetooth (R)
  • 1.5TB7200rpm SATA 3 Gb/s hard drives two (2x750GB)
  • Blu-raywriter & Lightscribe SuperMulti DVD burner
  • 16 x Max DVD-ROM
  • reader of cards 15-1memoire, 2 USB, 1394, video TV
  • DualATSC-NTSC TV tuner, PVR, 1 FM tuner, remote control
  • Integrated7.1 channel sound w/front audio ports

Your subject said GTX295 and the body said GTX285. What one will you get? It is bi - gpu GTX 295 is the most expensive.

Well, it seems that the map should FIR very well and I personally do not think that it will cover the sata ports, even if the card supports 2 slots. If you see the image below looks like it will fit perfectly.

Make sure that it does not touch the RAM sticks.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01357064

Regarding the food, the GTX 295 needs a 6 pins and a connector 8 pin. Make sure that your diet has at the same time. The GTX 285 takes 2 power connectors 6-pin and it is at least $100 cheaper and offers performance almost close to that of the 295. If you do not have these mau connector you need a diet most poerful 600W and 750W.

Or rather, you could a month or 2 for the new series GTX 300 to come, that will be a little better.

  • Can I switch my a6755d 9500 GS GTX 295 gpu?

    Hi guys, newbie here.

I recently bought a hp pavilion a6755d desktop computer and went generic vs brand. Specs are decent with core 2 duo e7300, bus 1066 MHz front end and 6400 PC 4g ram. It also comes with a CPU graph nvidia 9500 s so there is a x 16 pci-e expansion slot used by the latter. I think the upgrade to the gtx 295, after the upgrade of the power supply 1, 000w.

My question is: I don't know the specifications of the expansion slot, and if it's going to be a compatibility issue (I'm not sure that pci - e 2.0 x 16 means as specified in gtx 295 and what is the specification of the model of my camera, just what the textbook says is pci-e x 16). I would like to know if it's possible to do, or I would encounter problems.

Thanks in advance to those who will highlight.

First off you should not worry so much about the rating of the PSU, it's the amperage that is important.  The GTX295 requires a 46 combined on the independent 12v rails and 680w amps.  These reference numbers are based on a system fully loaded with an Intel Core i7 965 Extreme Edition processor that you have not anywhere near power intensive.  Unless you plan to go Quad-SLI in the future I don't think you need such a big power supply.

If I had your configuration and plan your upgrade I would look for a brand name "80 plus" PSU 650w - 750w but with 50 to 60 amps on the 12v rails.

Another problem I see is that most 1000w PSU is VERY deep.  Definitely check the dimensions of the PSU before buying.  And now you pay a premium for more than the brand 700-750 Watt PSU.

Check out this link to see how many watts is in fact using your system, I think you will be surprised:

    http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

And all the 200 series reference (GTX260 - GTX295) Geforce cards are double wide slot and 10.5 "long.  It should fit in your case.

BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOUR CPU WILL BE A IMPORTANT bottleneck BOTTLENECKS to A GTX295 and probably every 200 series GPU.

  • Photoshop CS5 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Crash

    My profile:

    Photoshop CS5 (x 64)

    Windows 7 x 64

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 (latest driver v197.45)

    Intel i7 920 2.67 GHz

My card is listed as tested for CS5 and NVIDIA card says that it's compatible with CS5, but today after using it, my screen went blank and the display driver recovered himself. It took about 5 minutes until Photoshop CS5 became responsive and the GPU features have been disabled. I will try GPU in advanced mode and basic instead of the normal mode to see what happens, but it's a shame that I have problems of this kind. I also had problems with CS4 like that.

What I did to cause this problem: "I clicked on" Place... "to place an object, and that's when it crashed. It happens randomly that I use Photoshop. Please NVIDIA or Adobe to solve this problem. I love the GPU features and I want to run them, but this crash is boring to spend as much on the purchase of this product. I hate to have to pay to contact Adobe technical support, it should be included with the purchase of the software!

How do I fix this without having to go through the mode based GPU or disabled GPU?

Well my crash started back with the latest drivers again with the registry tweak and even disabled completely OpenGL. I was going to start to use Gimp but decided to make one last search and then found this thread: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=179747&st=20

Holy cow, thanks to this thread, I solved the problem! This idea of downclocking the card itself and other questions related power led me to this fix: go to the NVIDIA Control Panel--> manage settings 3D--> global settings and opt for 'Power Management Mode' 'Prefer Maximum Performance' (the 'Adaptive' default setting value seemed to be the culprit). And that's all! The key here is change the setting of "Global", as my individual programs were already set to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. I have worked very well for 3 days now, and I can cause the error to happen again by changing to "Adaptive".

I do that and then turned backon OpenGL and set it to 'normal' and so far I've not dropped yet. For all of you who read this, I'll update if I have everything longer blocks, so if there is no more info about me which means this fix has remained strong.

  • Specific information about WU offers updated NVIDIA GTX 295

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.  Windows Update has recently offered an optional update for the graphics processor NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 (approximately 145 MB).  As I started to use a Windows 7 computer, I don't remember that Windows Update has ever offered an update for Nvidia graphic processor before.  I'm already using the latest NVIDIA driver that I get them directly from Nvidia (who was a setup file about 117 MB).

I would like to know more information on this update before I go to download it and install it.  I want to know specifically what that is and if different versions of Nvidia driver (it contains additional features specific to Windows 7).  How can I do this?

I appreciate your time and expertise.

  • Pavilion HPE-H8-1221: will be a job of it Gigabyte Nvidia geforce gtx 980 with the mother of HP H8-1221.

    Nice day

Looking to upgrade my Pavillion H8-1221 son with a better graphics card, currently it is running an EVGA geforce GTX 660 and we are looking for upgrade to GTX 980 it.  I was wondering if this will require an upgrade mobo as well or is the OEM card sufficient to manage this card.

    Thanks much for any help.

    SonicRising, welcome to the forum.

I don't think that the video card will work on his computer.  980ti GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  The only BIOS update that is available is to win 8.  You will need to update in 8 Win.

Regarding the upgrade of the motherboard, HP has their motherboards manufactured to their specifications.  Therefore, you must buy a Board that has holes that will correspond to the accessory in the case.  In addition, connectors can be owners, and may not correspond to those of the species.

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF and want to update the graphics card. My friend has a MSI Nvidia GTX 770 2 GB graphics card in sales and I was wondering if it would be compatible with my PC. I said I'll need to upgrade to the power. Will it be possible? If the graphics card of my friend is not compatible with my PC, what is the best graphics card (ideally a similar to the MSI Nvidia GTX 770 specs/price range) which will be compatible?

  • HO w do activate the acceleration GPUS for GTX 970 with CS6?

    Hello

Today, I did a fresh install of prem pro CS6, but it doesn't appear to detect the card GTX 970 I installed last month because it is showing 'software only' in the area of reading in the project settings.  I was running CS5.03 before and after the addition of the type of card in the txt cuda_supported_cards file, it ran very well. (still does)

Ive changed the same text file in CS6, but it will be only in software mode playback only. I restarted prem and the system but still the same.

Any ideas? Ive installed the latest Nvidia driver also last week. With CS5.03 still on the system cause problems? (I still have the card Matrox RTx.2 installed also for CS5.03) which is a problem?

System: win 7 64 bit. 28 GB of RAM; Xeon 2 x 2.66; First pro CS6. Card MSI Geforce GTX 970 (running in standard mode)

    Thank you very much

    Hi Ann

I tried your suggestion, but option was always grayed out.

However, I saw in another post, a suggestion to delete the cards taken in charge of cuda in any txt file so I tried it and it now works perfectly!

  • Bugs of performance NIVIDIA GTX 970 with Photoshop CC - flicker of window resizing.

    Hello Adobe community.

I recently bought a new computer with a GTX 970 Skylake generation, running Windows 7.  I download the trial version of Photoshop CC in order to test the performance of the machine before I commit to a subscription.

I noticed a few flickers in the upper part of the canvas, when you try to resize the window by dragging the lower corner in disconnected mode.  I did some searching through the forums and came across a couple of people with similar problems, but it doesn't seem to be a solution outside powered GPU accelerated features.

Canvas restless movements in Photoshop CC 2015 [was: looking for forum mod/staff with GTX 970]

I just want to know if this bug can be fixed or I have to choose a different GPU that is supported by adobe?  Quadro is overpriced and quality of consumer parts available?

No indication on the issue would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you.

    Mick

Thanks for the comments.  Not everyone comes back and tells us what fixed their problem, and it may be useful to many people.  The stats for the show in Adobe forums > 1 million visits per week!

Woah!  I thought I'd better go to verify the information, and I was miles. The real number is 1.27 million views per day.  I can't link to the original because it is in a closed area forum.

With regard to the NVIDIA Control Panel, there are a lot of settings, and you can often make a big difference tweaking their.  For example my laptop that uses a GTX680M, wouldn't let me the value of acceleration GPU, but twenty minutes in the fixed Control Panel.

  • Improvement of the GPU: GeForce GTX 770 with SLI or Nvidia Quadro K5000 2 cards?

Hello, I'll start working with video files in raw format of 4 k (Premiere, After Effects, SpeedGrade, S.redgiant plug-ings). Now, I have a graphics GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 770, but told me that video game cards GeFroce limited fukntsional when working with video in first. Is this really so? If I change my card Nvidia Quadro K5000 that presents similar characteristics, will I get additional features working in Adobe (Premiere, After Effect, SpeesGrade) programs? Does make sense in such a substitution? Or is it better to buy a second GTX 770 and put in SLI? Adobe, which will support?

No, the Geforce cards have a limitation with 4K media and GPU acceleration. The GPU CUDA acceleration IE is not specific to Geforce or Quadro. The specifications of the cards decide the performance. The specifications of the Geforce are much more important than the K5000 Quadro if you get the 780Ti or the Titan Black Edition. The two cards are cheaper. The only advantage that the Quadro card has in what concerns Adobe is the option to output 10-bit color for previewing as Adobe Open GL for the API. However, you can get a Blackmagic 4 K card to studio with a Titan Black edition and still spend less money than the K5000 while having much better performance. I have personally run an E5 - 2697 V2 12 Core Xeon with 4 GB 770GTX card and I play 4K r3d back at half resolution easily right now. Full resolution for previewing with 4K red is simply not possible through any software other than Redcine X Pro right now until the demosaicing of GPU acceleration is available. BTW, I would say 1 Titan Black edition of 2 x 770GTX cards. In all of the GPU scaling only works on the rendering now. When the debayer to GPU acceleration is available, then adding that a 2nd map of Titan would be much better than having 2 x 770GTX cards.

SLI and the GPU acceleration are 2 different technologies. SLI is scaling of drawing to the screen through more than 1 video card. The GPU acceleration is a module of programming that are sending computations to the GPU for processing that were normally handled by the player through the CPU. Acceleration GPU don't require or even use SLI for evolving on GPU. It's successful and at the request of the application.

  • GeForce GTX 460 with Premiere Pro feature

    Hello community,

I'm looking to use first Pro CS5 to the video capabilities of first order, but only by intermittent and not need the ultra high performance in need of a professional video editor. I have to upgrade my computer to be able to deal with CS5 and Windows 7 and I am on a budget and looking for ways to cut corners. Read all the specs, it seems that the GeForce GTX series, 285 and the 470 are the ONLY ones that Adobe has certified for all features with first Pro 5.

It seems clear from the comments in the following Adobe blog (http://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/2010/09/premiere-pro-cs5-5-0-2-update.html), the GeForce 460 does not allow for full functionality in far as Adobe is concerned, despite the fact that there CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1

This confuses me, as the specifications shown in http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-GeForce-GTX-460-us.html do not seem to be very different from those indicated in the http://www.NVIDIA.com/Object/product_geforce_gtx_470_us.html . In addition, I thought that CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1 were important factors for the Mercury engine.

Maybe miss me something, I'm not extremely technologically, but I feel I might be able to shoot really well with 460. Get your opinion on this?

    Fine thanks

    Simon

    Simon,

The GTX 460 works perfectly with the PR CS5. All you have to do is apply the 'hack', which amounts to nothing more than add a simple line of text in a text file on your system. At the point where you have made your decision and after reading one of the many posts here on the 'hack' and you still can not understand, post here and we can help you further.

  • No display X 51 R1 - dealing with failed GTX 555

Hello! The figure is practically archaic by today's standards, but I did have this X 51 R1 for so long unfortunately.

Problem: No display when I turn on (with the exception of fan/HD whirring and alien lights coming). It beeps, I understand is supposed to be bound to the motherboard, but I brought to a repair shop diagnosed as a card failure GTX 555 which prevents from start. The important, the shop has managed to boot successfully to the X 51 by replacing only the GTX 555 with another card (low end). However, they do have a GFX card similar to the GTX 555 in performance (which can also be powered by 330W POWER supply) so I took my X 51 House.

Assuming the above is correct, my question is:

    1. How can I start of the equipped with an integrated GFX card (at least until then that I find a discreet viable replacement option?) My screen is plugged the HDMI port embedded all the time I had the X 51, never the mini-HDMI on the GTX 555. I don't know what is my BIOS setting, but by pressing F2 repeatedly after turning on the X 51 has no effect whatsoever now. Is that expected when I have no display due to the discrete GFX card fail?

    2. what should I look for to replace the GTX 555? Looking at the 660 GTX and Radeon R9 270, those would be safe choices that won't send my X-51 to a premature end of overheating?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

What happens when you connect the monitor to the actual video card by the mini HDMI port?

If you still don't have video when you connect the monitor to the mini-HDMI and then open the system and remove the video card (you can check this video if you need help), connect the monitor to the integrated HDMI and turn on the system.

If, after that the system image to uninstall the video card driver, put the video card in and reinstall the driver.

In regard to the options of different graphics cards, we validate only the following cards for this system:

    NVIDIA Geforce 640GT

    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 645

    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660

    AMD, Radeon R9 270

  • double set video card in place with the precision dell T7400 workstation

    Hello

I would like to know what the correct installation/configuration program is to have 2 GPUs running in the system. I am running windows 7 64 bit. I have a geforce gtx 295 running in the system and I recently installed my old quadro fx 1700, turned the system and it automatically installed fine. no problems. However what I wanted to do, it's that the system starts with the quadro as the default map and the geforce I want to use as a farm of rendering for my 3d animation film. to do this, I changed in the bios that the system is booted on the another pci port where the quadro card has been installed and not the card geforce. When I rebooted the system machine would not start. I then removed the geforce card and left just the quadro in and the system booted fne.

I guess maybe I need to return the setting back to the default factory of bios and exchange the card about instead of swapping the GPU autour boot sequence. is that correct? If so, the problem I have is then that because the geforce card is so huge, the sound card is embarrassing and prevents installation in the port main the geforce gpu. in any case before I complicate things further with futher information etc. What thoughts are there on this so far?

    really appreciate any info.

    than ks in advance.

    see you soon

    Angus

    Hi Angus,

As you pointed out quite rightly, you will need to load the default settings in the BIOS. Install the Quadro FX 1700 in the location main and GeForce GTX 295 in secondary housing that will allow the system to boot using the Quadro FX 1700. Your computer will not have a slot for the sound card PCI slot will not be available by making these changes.

If you have any other questions, feel free to respond.

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:
