GTX 470 lack of GPU acceleration

Windows 7 64 - bit, 8 GB RAM, brand MSI GTX470, NOT games, use with Adobe CS5 applications. CS5 applications are updated to fixes loatest.

I read a few other posts, but I have a few questions:

(1) if the hardware monitor supplied with my GTX 470 is correct, and for the effects rendered first and transcoding in again with SOUL, % GPU used is about 1%, which should?

(2) that I posted a question on the NVIDIA forum about my inability to add first Pro CS5 and Encore CS5 to the list of applications to GPU acceleration using the NVIDIA Control Panel. The * CS4 applications are listed but the Control Panel does not add CS5. I uninstalled CS4 for a long time, until I added the GTX 470.

(3) today when I tried to load a project Premeiere Pro, I get a message saying that the mercury GPU acceleration "is not available on this system' and 'software only' mode will be used. What has changed? A way to recover?

So basically, two sets of questions:

(a) transcoding don't use GPU acceleration? Should not made in first Pro use it? What should I expect to NOT use the GPU acceleration, except video effects, which are quite clearly identified.

(b) at - it something for CS5 or configuration GTX470 to enable GPU acceleration to use?

1 CUDA real effects or non-CUDA? On what CPU? A slow CPU will not benefit from a fast processor.

2. it is a limitation of nVidia Driver and does not impact on CUDA support. He'll find Adobe first Pro.exe

3. put updated to 5.03

a. No, Yes, encoding and other instances where the hardware rendering is bypassed in favor of software rendering. Depends on the material and other circumstances.

b. 5.03 enable automatically. Check your project settings.

  • GTX 970, can't GPU accelerated rendering

    Hi all

I'll make this quick because I have to go to work soon.

    System Specs:

    GeForce GTX 970

    AMD FX 9370 eight Core

    32 GB OF RAM

    Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit)

Although I have not exhausted all my resources yet, as I had very little time to research the problem actually, I thought I would come here to ask why I can't get my GPU to use in my final images in the SOUL (or my area of work in AFX)

I thought I found the right CUDA drivers but when I downloaded them it says something about a SDK and I wasn't sure if these are the right drivers to download for my means.

I will be able to explain more in detail when I get off work tonight but for now, this is all the info I can provide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Nope. This card is not yet supported. Nothing you can do.

  • Camera Raw GPU acceleration (Nvidia GTX 1080) support

    Hello

I had the problem, which is no acceleration in Camera Raw - he says "currently disabled' - in the Preferences menu and Bridge > Camera Raw preferences.
In Photoshop, everything is OK, the GPU acceleration is enabled and it detects gpu GTX 1080.

I got the latest nvidia drivers and updated Camera Raw plugin.

My profile: graphics card MSI GTX 1080 of MSI X 99 motherboard, cpu 5820 k, running 64-bit Windows 10. Button previous GTX 970 and card 550ti had the same problem
Is there a solution? 36mpix files of my DSLR D810 loading very slow in Camera Raw :/

I also uninstalled all 3rd party software for overclocking, everything is now enabled by default.

I've heard that going back to the old driver solves the problem, but when I try to install (361,43 and other drivers) system does not detect the video card (which is correct - 1080 a look in 2016)

Thanks for your comments! Take care

OK, I tried to install win 7 ultimate and own adobe install and everything is OK - camera raw now see processor gpu and it helped.

  • GTX 750 it sufficient for accelerating GPU in CC 2014?

    Hi all

Upgrade to a HD 5870 I hope - I just wanted to know if GTX 750 it with its CUDA technologies would be sufficient for GPU accelerated applications like Lr, Sg, Pr, Ps, Ae and so on? Ask in the forums Pr because it is the application, I use the most.

Not too bothered about gaming performance. I don't want to spend a lot of money and the Ti 750 to about £100 seems a good balance between the value / price and performance.

The 5870 worked very well with OpenCL and Adobe CC 2014 but for various reasons, I want to update and go back to NVIDIA.

    Thank you all

This GPU would certainly be enough for your system, but I also would replace the Green disks with 7200 rpm disks and perhaps increase the RAM.

  • Mercury Playbak Engine and GTX 470?

    Hey everybody,

I'm kinda a noob here, but I tried to optimize my experience with first CS5. I have an intel i7-950 @3. 07 GHz with 6 GB of RAM. I also have a GTX 470 1.25 GB of RAM. I'm a little angry at my slow rendering time. When rendering, my ram fills up to the maximum (planning for a bit more) and my cpu works in a mid to high level between the cores. I feel that my gpu should be a little more help with the load, and I wanted to activate the CUDA cores for the mercury playback engine. I have two questions, though. First of all, how much will this help me to make time? And second, allegedly after the hack I'm supposed to change the general framework of Mercury Playback Software only playback with the mercury GPU acceleration. However, I have not done the hack, but I already seem to have the selected GPU acceleration. Does this mean that my card is just used without CUDA? Just want some clarification. Thank you in advance,

    M65

The GTX 470 is on the list of approved cards and so didn't need the hack to activate hardware MPE.

  • The GPU acceleration seems to make no difference

I work with a timeline of a single layer and a single 60i AVCHD video. Whatever of acceleration GPU is enabled or not in the project settings, the timeline begins always choke move frames at the same time, several seconds into the clip. According to a counter, there is no difference in the use of the GPU during playback with gpu acceration both enabled and disabled. If I try to encode a sequence using h.264 in media encoding, the use of the gpu remains flat to zero. Scrub through the timeline is extremely agitated, no matter what settings I use. Am I missing something?

    Here are my system specs:

    RAM: 4096 MB

    John,

Use of your CPU/GPU numbers are quite logical if you do not use a lot of transitions or effects supported MEP. You will see more use GPU if you apply more effects taken MEPS supported in your timeline. Decoding is only, CPU effects and transitions can be GPU assisted if they are noted as such.

If you try the Référence PPBM5 , you will notice a much larger the GPU use, because it is filled with accelerated effects. However, you said that you had a problem with the script. Follow the instructions for a new try at the end of the Readme file carefully. Follow them to the letter. Even a slightly different approach can cause the script to fail.
