  I'm under Vsphere, esx 4.0. I have a virtual machine with a guest OS of Win 2003. I ran out of space of hard drive disk number 2, the disk is configured as believe.   The solution is to disable the screen saver for windows logon, in other words disable the "default user" screen saver. That will not affect the screensaver of the current user.

  In my case the user screen saver is configured by global policies (with password protection) and the screen saver "default user" is disable by registry hack.

  That solved my problem.

• Connection of comments on the second WNR1000v3 as access point does not connect to Internet

  I have a WNR1000v3 (firmware V1.0.2.68_60.0.93NA) connected to the WAN and it works well.   @storm1985 I suspect that your configuration means that all the second router LAN ports will also forward only to the Internet. But this gives me a good idea to use another router just like an access point wireless for the connection of comments. (I seem to accumulate old routers.) Unfortunately, I don't have the time to try this out until late in the week, but I'll certainly do and report. Thank you!

  If I understand correctly, you try to find a way to have a dashboard invites with two columns in it. When you select the value of the first column, the second column shows only the values that meet the criteria of the first. Is this correct?

  If this assumption is correct, all you have to do is to force the columns together. When you build your prompt, check the box "limit", as shown below:

  Let's say you have two columns:

  COL1 COL2
  2B
  2B
  2 c

  When you select the option of constraint, columns become so dependent on the other. For example, if you select '2' for your prompt COL1, then you won't have the choice to select 'B' or 'C' when you go to the guest in the second column.

• iOS 10 questions implementation of several devices on Home App (HomeKit) for use with Hub of HUE.

  I can connect an iPhone but am unable to allow a guest or a second iPhone to the visionaries. Once I'm Setup on an iPhone, the second iPhone will not see the hub of HUE with their application to the home page. When I send an invitation for comments and they accept, they see my Home Setup, I created, but they get an error message saying ' accessories does not.

  I rest iphones and TINT Hub several times as well as home App and TINT settings. I'm still able to install one of the two iPhones at the start. The problem comes when you try to grant the second iPhone controls. I even tried to remove the TINT Apps to ensure that they do not interfere in some way. Both devices are able to use the application of COLOUR very well to control the lights, but we would like both the convience to control the lights of HUE with iPhone Control Center.

  I have exactly the same problem.  My iPhone 6 s + works fine.  My children and wife iPads, iPods and phones running iOS10 are not.  They can see the app home screen and all the features of the installation.  But each device says "no response" and at the top of the page its says "no responding accessories".

  In addition, they can all use the app of Hue and set the lights very well.  However, not with Siri, but that's another question.  Once again my siri controls function very well.

  My guess is it's a bug.

• Frame around a user icon?

  I created two user accounts.  An administrator and a Standard.  At the logon screen, two photo icons consist of the image framed by what I can best describe as a monitor, so that they each resemble pictures on a TV/monitor screen.  So far nothing unusual.  But one of them, the Standard account icon, has an additional, unique, line the rectangular frame surrounding it.  Can someone tell me what this indicates this icon?  I have created additional accounts to see if they got this extra framing around them.  They do not have.

  When I set up this new computer, I created the main account as a standard user. Bad move. Now when I try to make changes, I invited him UAC with an inactive "Yes" button.   First, note the comment at the top of the page I linked to:

  The link I gave you, the two method I (32-bit only) and method II require you to "open a command prompt at startup" and give a link for directions to do so.  If you go to this link, there is a 'Option One' which uses the installation of Win 7 disc and a 'Option 2' that tells you to use the menu of Boot Options to boot into "Safe Mode with command prompt."

  However, Safe Mode with command prompt not automatically you will get an account with computer administrator privileges, and I suspect that you will not be able to make registry changes suggested that way, despite the generally good reputation of sevenforums.com.   So, use the Windows 7 installation DVD to display the "System Recovery Options" and then select "Command Prompt" there.

  Assuming that you do not receive the built-in administrator enabled account, log in, create a new account and give administrator privileges.  If you intend to use this account for anything other answering the UAC guests, create a second administrator account, "just in case."

  Finally, open an elevated command prompt (right click > run as administrator) and use the following command to disable the built-in Administrator account:

  Currently, I have a relatively small environment with 4 guests in our location of companies in the United States and two guests to a second place in Europe.  I find that the number of virtual machines running in our environment Europe develops more and more.  I've been actively weighing the merits of adding a vCenter Server Appliance to our environment in Europe.  I have a few questions which I hope are simple which you can help with.  If you experience of the best that I look at the documentation for my answers, links to documentation would be very useful!

  1. If I add a vCenter Server Appliance to our VMWare Cluster in Europe, it connects to the database of vCenter running in our business location?  Alternatively, the vCenter device would simply manage the cluster in our European office location?
  2. If the answer to 1 above is that the device will manage vCenter only clusters in Europe, does that mean that I will be able to see an environment at a time when I opened my vSphere client?
  3. Require the device vCenter vCenter another license?

• Routing between remote sites

  My question is on remote sites and routing for vSphere. I have two geographically separated sites connected by a fiber 80Mbit connection. Each site has it of own SAN, SAN switches dedicated and will have its own guests. I use vSphere 5 Standard.

  I created my first site and everything works fine. At the beginning I put in place all hosts that I have on the first site to make sure everything was working correctly. Now, I'm ready to spend half of the guests at my second site.

  I want to manage two sites from my server from vSphere existing on the first site.

  What is the best way to set up my second site? Inbetween the websites traffic *is* routed, so I know that limits my options. I went into this project knowing that the link between my sites 80Mbit was not good enough for vMotion.

  I used to Paul Kelly (thanks!) suggestions to set up my sites, they look like:

  On a separate note - this time I have a Datacenter with a group inside (for my first site). My second site is a second group, or a whole new data center? I've read some threads on the forum and some people say to keep a data center, unless you have naming problems. Of course, the fact that you can cluster inbetween vMotion and not data centers isn't really make a difference in my scenario.

  
  

  Welcome to the community - as long as your vCenter server is able to reach the management port on the ESXi hosts in the second, you'll be able to manage hosts with the single instance. I agree that you should route traffic in all of the privatelkink between the sites - management

  In doing so the single instance of vCenetr that you can manage ESSXi host computers at each site and be able to trigger vmotion on each site.

  I did a lot of research this upward and have found ways to correct this and comments, the problem is that I have three DL580 G5s that are entirely similar,.

  Same memory, CPU, even network cards, same level of BIOS.

  But when I try to migrate a guest to the second of the three I get a title and a discrepancy detected above these features: * NX/DX and so on.

  I have two clusters (first is DL380 G5s x 6 is second of the G5s DL580 x 3), I don't have this problem with the first group, can I VMotion a guest in the first group at will (in the first cluster only), I just tried to VMotion a guest from the first to the second cluster (power off) without problem.

  Now what I find is the guest of the first cluster can be moved to ONE of the hosts of the second cluster No. errors!

  Anyone have any ideas of what I'm againest?

  Sorry if this sounds like a question very newbish but:

  What are the commands I need to automate the stops comments, startups comments and comments restarts under CentOS 5.3?   Specifically, I inherited a pair of guests from server windows 2003 which must communicate with each other and, annoyingly, have a bad habit to forget how doing it on a regular basis, with the only solution established being regularly restarts. Unfortunately, the software that causes this problem is a legacy custom code and at this stage cannot be resolved (and in fact has been largely supplanted by a new equivalent on the web). At this point, I'd rather just take the software and its virtual machines entirely, but it is always necessary for the recovery of archived data, while we are moving to new software mentioned above.

  So, I want to set up a scheduled task (cron job?) to the stop and power off the first guest, restart the second and then, once finished reboot, re-run the first guest.

  Any help gratefully received.

  I'm going on the assumption that the report of answers has some type of parameters. By parameters, I mean that a variable prompt, server or presentation is used to run the report in the responses.

  The Word add on can not handle answers bi reports with parameters.

  But you are in luck as Uncle Danscan has already handled this problem. You won't find that it explained anywhere else.

  First step: create a version not set the report BI answers. Basically values to hardcode in the report. And save this version of the report. Keep your orginal version because you will need later.

  Step 2: Editor with no set up version of the report.

  Step 3: Open word and load the data that you expect to do.

  Step 4: create the report model by adding in the table, the fields and other stuff. Once it is configured, it is time to test.

  Fifth step: BI Open responses. (I guess that Publisher and responses are loaded together in the path of the company. If you can't click the link more than products next to the link to answers in the tool BI Dashboard and answers. Publisher must be available). Go to the dashboard that you want to run the Editor tool of. This should have the guest while reports BI original responses. You will need these guests in a second.

  Step 6: Test of the report of the editor. If everything looks good, we can move to the final step. If not reopening word adjusts, download, test, etc.

  Step seven: go into the editor and edit relationships in the data model for the versions with parameters. (At this point you can not open the stencil online again until the reports are reversed in return. You can do some fancy hacking to make it work, but that's for another post)

  What determined your operator BETWEEN End Date? I guess it's variable. In addition, is the second report on the same page or another page of dashboard? Assuming that the two reports are on the same page, do the below. If this isn't the case, you can use the same guests on the second page of dashboard. Define the scope of "dashboard" and the selection of the user is wearing on the second page.

  The easiest way is to have 3 guests of dashboard: Promo_ID, Start_Dt and end_date. assign to these guests PVs: pvPromoID, pvStartDate and pvEndDate, respectively.

  Filter a report on pvPromoID and pvStartDate.

  The second report on the pvPromoID of the filter and use pvStartDate in the filter of the two report Date column. Assuming that the values BETWEEN are variable, so you can write the following on the column of your second report:

  "Table name". " Date ColumnName.<= '@{pvstartdate}'="" and="" table="" name"."date="" column="" name"=""><>

  And your Promo column, use the filter "Table name". "Class = ' @{pvPromoID}"

  When the user selects the Promo ID, Start Date and end Date in the guests, the first and second reports will be filtered accordingly.
