  I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

  You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

  In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

  It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

  Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

  In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

  If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

  If so, the location must be registered.

• Satellite L450D - need help with CPU upgrade

  Hi all

  I have a problem with my laptop, self inflicted, which makes it more annoying! I tried to upgrade my computer laptop core processor for a sempron to a core of stalk (others have apparently done before without problem)... no luck with the turion heart but when I put in the heart of sempron in the computer starts with a black screen: (.) Here are the steps I took to get to this stage:

  1 swapped the sempron to the stalk, on the computer... black screen after startup cigarette... turns off the computer.
  2 put the sempron back and it started normally, the screen works well.
  3. place the back of stalk in but this time reset the cmos by removing the battery for 5 minutes before starting up... black screen after startup.
  4. replace the sempron, yet once reset the cmos by the same method, but this time I got up a black screen after booting with the old processor!

  At no time I tried updating the bios because I didn't take the risk of bricking my phone, I was under the impression that to reset the cmos is relatively safe (of course not the case).

  When I turn on the laptop I can hear the fan of coming laptop.
  When to turn off I have to press the button for 5 seconds before it turns off makes me think of the laptop is booting but simply do not display information on the screen.

  I'm pretty confident I have not physically damaged something when changing things around.

  At this point I do not get the new processor works.
  I want just the laptop works properly. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm afraid you damaged something, by removing the battery of the BIOS (CRT) of m.

  I came to this conclusion because everything worked correctly until you have removed the battery, even though the CPU was deleted (and trendy again), the laptop started successfully.
  So I think that the problem is now linked to the motherboard.

  Page 98 shows you a list of parts. Please order the right part of HP.  And on page 99, the manual explains how to replace.

  Please note: it should update the BIOS before changing equipment. You can check the BIOS under the software section and drivers from the link above.

  You can use any wifi card listed in the manual, but there must be a version of the map with a HP part number, not just the same chipset. Make sure that you have the right manual for your dv6-2090er:

  I recently bought pavilion dv6-6c07ez in Switzerland. It came with windows 7 Home premium. because I'm not good with German, I've upgraded to windows 7 ultimate x 64. now I; m having problems with installing the drivers. I tried with the drivers of hp Germany for this model, but some of them moved there, while bluetooth driver caused the bluescreens. windows update help, I managed to install some of the missing drivers, but still there are 4 items that need driver.

  You need to consider when you set the value of str...

  var str:String = txt_inp.text;

  The way in which you have indicated as, it will affect the nothing that is in the textfield object, as this line will run before any text is affected.

  You want to make this assignment after the text in the textfield changes.  You should always declare the variable outside of any function so that it can be available to the framework both in terms of scope, but the assignment must take place in your textInputCapture function.

  Also, using the event TextEvent.TEXT_INPUT will probably miss the mark as well because it will raise until the text is changed in the textfield, which will result in the text was missing the last character entered.  You must instead use the Event.CHANGE event.
