  • Help! HP Dv6 Envy - I visited Hp Web site for drivers and I found many, if you please I will...

    Good day Forum of Support Hp
    I need your help...
    I visited Hp Web site for drivers and I found many, if you please I will install all the drivers that I've seen out there?
    Thanks to you all.

    You should check whether the installation file downloaded is for the device you have - of Device Manager.

    Chipset depends on what processor you have.
    Utility Intel chipset needs, etc. management interface.
    AMD needs AMD graphics driver

    If yours is a switchable graphics system (you will be able to note the two devices in the section display adapter in Device Manager), you must install the discreet dedicated graphics driver & it integrated one (in the case of Intel being integrated) - from the download page.

    Rest you can download and try.

    (a) install HP Support assistant, and run Tune UP , as shown in step 5. (Restart your PC if necessary.)

  • HP dv6 envy: want to know on the best internal hard drive to replace it with

    Hi friends... I return my hp dv6 want 3 years and it has worked well for me so far, but since last month, everytime I turn on my laptop, a message is popping indicating that YOUR HARD DISK has FOUND YEAR IMMINENT FAILURE AND there NEED TO BE REPLACED and I studied a lot of posts here regarding this problem and everyone was asked to replace it with a new one. I don't know what drive should I replace it with. Could someone please help me in this regard. I need the following details:

    1. where can I find new internal hard drive HP ENVY DV6 1 to buy?

    2. can we replace this hard drive with the hard drive to other companies? (such as seaggate)... If so, so, please let me know

    3. can I replace the hard drive with a hard drive of 1 to solid state?

    4. links to vendors who sell internal hard drive?

    Please help me friends...

    The answer is Yes in all areas. The laptop will accept any 2.5 inch wide disk SATA 9.5 or 7 mm thick and which includes mechanical hard drives and Solid State drives. Where are you located (one country)? Hard drives and SSDS for laptops are a part of the goods. You can pick them up at a Best Buy or Frys if you live where there are no Frys or you can use amazon.com or newegg.com or similar online service. The prices vary a lot, so it is useful to get a good deal. A 1 to SSD can run more than $300, you know. Need instructions for installing and/or migrating software? We are a bit like McDonalds here in the Forum... served billion regarding replace drive hard/updates to level. One of the specialties of the House, so to speak.

  • How to implement a callback to the help function call library function node in LabView?

    I try to call a fuction from a SDK.dll library by using the node call library feature. The SDK has been provided to

    me and I don't have the source code, just the .dll and .h files.

    The SdkSetPropertyEventHandler function has a function of recall as one of its parameters. How to apply the

    callback using the NSI node? I'm a good programmer LabView but this is my first time using the library to call

    Function node. I read all the info I can find on the web site of NOR and the discussion Forum, but can not understand

    This one out. I'm using LabView 8.6.

    The deacribes SDK.h function as:

    Function: SdkSetPropertyEventHandler

    (SdkSetPropertyEventHandler) SdkError SDKAPI
    SdkCameraRef inCameraRef,
    SdkPropertyEvent inEvnet,
    SdkPropertyEventHandler inPropertyEventHandler,
    SdkVoid * context);

    //
    Description:
    Registers a callback function to receive the status
    change the notification events for the States of property on a camera.
    //
    Parameters:
    In: inCameraRef - designate the object camera.
    inEvent - designated one or all the events will be completed.
    inPropertyEventHandler - designate the pointer to the callback
    function to receive the camera property-related events.
    inContext - designated application information must be passed
    way to the callback function. All the data necessary to
    your application can be passed.
    Output: no
    //
    Returns: A sdk errors.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------*/

    A separate header called SDKTypes.h file contains the following data:

    typedef SdkUInt32 SdkPropertyEvent;
    typedef SdkUInt32 SdkPropertyID;
    typedef void SdkVoid;

    typedef struct __SdkObject * SdkBaseRef;
    typedef SdkBaseRef SdkCameraRef;

    /*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    typedef SdkError (SDKCALLBACK * SdkPropertyEventHandler))
    SdkPropertyEvent inEvent,
    SdkPropertyID inPropertyID,
    SdkUInt32 inParam,

    Hi Rolfk,

    You are absolutely right. This article describes what you were talking about? I'm just trying to get as much information as possible on this thread if the solution is easier to find for the future. Thank you.

    Yes, but I find the idea of using .net to call a LabVIEW VI as callback function C a bit as using a roll of Steam ironing your pants. Why do it? Well the steamroller has extra security guards that make it less likely that you'll break your pants in the process, but it's not elegant IMHO.

    Write a C DLL that translates between a C callback and a user event LabVIEW using the PostLVUserEvent() of the interface of the kernel to run LabVIEW function seems so eleganter for me. Yes, it's a bit of programming in C, but good!

  • HP dv6 Envy: how to stop the automatic installation of 8.1 to win on HP Envy laptop?

    My laptop HP Envy has automatic update downloaded to Win 8.1. He saysit will install on the next reboot. How to stop this instsall?

    I didn't upgrade because I read several reviews that said if you didn't have a touch screen that you would have difficulties to navigation in some applications. What apps not said.

    What you say makes no sense and I question the validity of these comments.  Update to Windows 8.1 will do more good than harm.  Very few people who have updated have experienced problems, so comments to keep your receipt no logic.

    Here's something you can do.  Download Macrium reflect free and create a hard disk image on an external hard drive, don't forget to create the rescue disk.  Once done, update your system to 8.1.  If you have any problems, then you will be OK.  If it doesn't work or you have problems you can restore the backup of the image on your system that will put the computer to Windows 8 with no ill effects.  An image backup of your system from time to time is the best thing you can do.  You will have no problems with the help of recovery disks, reinstalling programs and data.  Many people use this method and have no regrets.

    Don't be afraid of it, it is a very useful tool.

  • Help! -Desktop HP Envy locked computer

    I'm working on the computer of a friend who is a photographer.

    She has a HP Envy.    Recently two problems happened at the same time.

    She did an automatic update that killed somehow out of his internet connection and its msn password got screwed up.

    On the screen, it has a red X through the internet connection icon.   It will say that it is connected but it is not connected.   I tried wireless and ethernet cable.

    Update the password for msn easily.    So now that we know what should be the password, however, because the computer cannot connect to the net, you don't find the changed password.    If we are always locked.

    I talked to the Helpdesk repeatedly.    They recommended that make a good backup, then just restore the computer to factory resets in the hope that it will address the problem of internet connectivity.

    The problem with this, is that it has almost 1000 GB of pictures only.   (not to mention documents, emails, etc.)

    So when I try to save it, I get an overflow error telling me the computer does not have enough space for the same number files.

    When I tried to save only photos, it lasted 5 hours and was still 2% for backup.

    The computer has a Bank of 3 hard disks, total 4 TB.    I also tried to use an adapter to read those directly on another computer via USB but I have yet to find an adapter that will read the readers.

    I'm getting desperate.    Can anyone suggest and adapter that works, or a path in the computer that will bypass the signon msn.      Anyone?
