• AIO HP 6000 Pro: hard drive HP 6000 AIO Upgrade questions

  I have a HP 6000 Pro AIO, which works fine, but I would like to put a hard drive more in for right now, I have a 250 GB drive.  I have a WD Black 1 TB disk into the machine, but it will not recognize the drive even after that the drive is cloned.  He tells me that readers may not be found.  When I check the disc, it displays the data that I cloned it.  Is their missing something I'm trying to migrate to the new drive?  Also, I tried to do a fresh install of the operating system.

  I had a similar problem with my dc7800 CMT.

  I bought a WD Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III hard drive.  I managed to install the operating system, but when I want to start or restart the PC, most of the time (95%), I got the boot drive not found error.

  I assumed the reader was bad, so I RMA. by it, and the spare drive did the same thing.

  I have a HP 8200 CMT of Elite, which came with a Seagate 1 TB SATA III hard drive.

  For fun, I put this in my dc7800, and it worked very well.  He worked in this machine for over 3 years now without a hitch.

  I put the WD hard drive in my 8200 Elite and it has worked well in this PC, because there a sata III drive controller.

  None of our PC are shown in this document support, but the symptoms are the same.

• Slow download speed of R7500 / HARD drive corruption

  Hello: I bought a R7500 (the box indicated it was R7500v2, but inside, I found a R7500v1) n February 2016. I have about 60/60 (download/upload) when you have a wired connection, but WiFi I have only 50/10. I can understand a 10% drop, but not a drop from 60 to 10. I've searched the forums and did the following:
  a.-j' tried different FW, no change
  b. - Factory reset, no change
  c. - Test using my computer laptop about 1 foot from the router, no luck
  d - change channels - different speeds but no improvement.
  e. - enable/disable QoS. Enable/disable WMM
  f. - If I connect directly to the ethernet ports, I get the speed I should get.
  g.-j' played with the wireless modes (up to 54, until 1733, etc), no luck.
  h. - I moved the router around the House, no luck.
  i. - I turned on QoS and assigned manually 60Mbps download and shipping, no luck.

  Another problem with this router, it is that it corrupts the table to boot from the HARD drive after a few days (HFS +)

  Anything else I should try? The unit is barely 90 days old.

  I found other posts with people having the same problem but no solution posted. Netgear support team replaced my unit (RMA). They were very helpful. This issue can be closed now.

• DC7700: Size maximum hard drive on HP DC7700?

  I recently upgraded to a 2 TB to 3 TB (after the death of the 2 TB).

  I also upgraded from Win7 for Windows 10 at the same time.

  A week later, the operating system won't start.  When I look at the disc (he jumped into another office) and it the disc seemed to only be formatted in ran 2 TB Seagates SeaTools.  It is passed all tests ok.

  Trying to get Win10 to do a repair of the car.  Failed.  Tried to update (save user settings)... failed.  Tried to wipe & re-install... also failed.

  I was wondering if there is a problem with the maximum size of hard drive in the BIOS.  Running 1.06 (the latest news of 2011?).

  I hope someone could shed some light on this?

  There are actually a few problems...

  1. you must not exceed 2 TB for a boot disk when your PC lacks a UEFI BIOS (which is not the dc7700).

  2. If the HARD drive is a SATA III (6.0 Gbps) by car, there is a very good chance he's one of the symptoms listed in this document from HP below...

  I had the same thing happen to me (the first question is in the document) on my dc7800 when I installed a new 500 GB WD Caviar Black HDD, SATA III HARD disk.

  W7 has worked for awhile and then the disc has not been recognized more.

  I assumed that the drive is defective, so I RMA'd it, and the other does exactly the same thing.

  I swapped the 500 GB of disk with a disk of 1 TB SATA III coming from my 8200 Elite CMT.  The 8200 Elite came from the factory with 1 TB HARD drive.  1 elite 8200 than TB HARD drive worked perfectly well in my dc7800 and the WD 500 GB drive has worked perfectly well in my 8200 Elite (which has a SATA III HARD disk controller).

  IMO, the unrecognized drive is because of this incompatibility problem described in the document of support.

  For more information on disks larger than 2 TB, read this white paper from HP below.

  You should be able to use the 3 TB, such as a data reader drive if you format to GPT, provided that the incompatibility problem does not exist when it is not be used as a startup disk.

  Curiously, the dc7900 and 8000 Elite PC, I, do not have that issue with discs hard non - HP SATA III - even if their controllers are only SATA II as well.

• HP 6450 b HARD drive in secondary Bay does not work

  I bought a HARD drive caddy to mount a drive to expand on my HP 6450 b (Win 10) using the connection of SATA DVD ROM.

  First with SO HARD drive is a WD 250 GB SATA 2 3 GB/s.

  I see my product spec TEC and I chose a HARD Seagate 500 GB SATA 3 6 Gbps drive to put in the caddy as a secondary HARD drive.

  I mounted the caddy with the new HARD drive, but it does not work: initially, the portable green light turn on, but does not Society. Without any error message, after a few seconds the led become yellow and green for some time and after that the PC turns off.

  When I put off the caddy with the secondary HARD disk, the OS starts correctly.

  I read similar posts in the forum and I have:

  (1) check the option in the BIOS to activate the secondary HARD drive is active (in FACT, it is enable)

  (2) turn off the launch of the er disk HARD secondary (DONE)

  (3) test on the HARD drive (in FACT, it's OK)

  I tried to set up in BIOS the SATA 3 GB/s speed, but I can't find the option. I see that someone has done this action.

  That would be the problem?

  I also think that could be a problem with drivers to support the new secondary HARD drive, but I don't know how to do.

  Is there someone who could help me?

  Dear Gerhard,

  I suspect you have a hardware problem on your device. Hard drives should appear in the graphical interface under 'storage' as SATA1 to SATA4 at the time you insert the tray into the Bay and drives pass the test.

  As we are based in the same region, please let me know where you bought the device and I'll let you know how to throw a RMA number.

  I hope you kept all your receipts, otherwise we have to identify the unit based on serial number.

  So I tried to help my wife to free up space on his MacBook Pro by putting all of his photos on an external hard drive.   How to use an SSD with your HARD drive If you want to use an SSD as boot with your existing HARD disk drive, as the disk 'data', here is what you can do. After installing the SSD, you need to partition and format the SSD using disc utility disc. Then install OS X on the SSD. Once installed OSX boot from SSD. Startup disk preferences to set up the SSD as the boot volume. Open the preferences users and groups. Click the lock and authenticate you. Or CTRL - RIGHT click on your username account list in the sidebar and select Advanced Options in the context menu. You will see a field called "Home dir: ' on the far right, you will see an Edit button. Click on it. In the file dialog box, navigate to the location in house now located on the HARD disk (disk HARD/users/user_name /.) Select the folder, click the Open button. Restart the computer, as shown. When the computer starts, it will now use the home located on the HARD drive folder. Another more technical method involving the Terminal and the alias is discussed in depth here: using OS X with a SSD and HDD - Matt Gemmell configuration. It's my preferred approach because I can choose which records of the House, I want to on the HARD drive and I don't want to. For example, I like to keep Documents and library files on the SSD because I frequently access their content. Make sure that you keep the bootable system entirely on your HARD drive where you need it.

  Recently I bought a Portable Seagate 2 TB external hard drive for my MacBook Air. I put all my movies, music, ext documents on my hard drive with my important homework. The reason why I did was reset my mac, then return all my old documents, photos ext, back to their place of origin. I have managed to do and frees a lot of space. A few days after my MacBook fell asleep with a connected external hard drive and now the hard drive is no longer present on the desktop or in finder. Also sang the first aid option in "disk utility" with no other results. I have contacted apple support and found out it was the external hard drive with the problem, so they couldn't help me. They then redirected me to Seagate Support, and I had already tried the methods they gave me (see list above). I was wondering if anyone here on communities of Apple has experienced the same problem as me, it would be that much appreciated advice you may have. I have important files that I need to recover.

  Had a similar problem with external hard drive WD also on model MBA early 2015. Found if I disconnect the external hard drive restart MBA and then reconnect the external hard drive it was working normally again.

  Another thing I tried was still unplug HD plugin MBA on sector and re - a SMC.

  We understand your question that you have a new external hard drive, a backup Slim Seagate, which does not appear when you connect to your MacBook Pro.

  Allows because it is a new hard drive, try to clear the disc first and formatting for Mac OS extended (journaled). The instructions for this process are found in the article below:

• Backup of two mac mini hard drives

  I have a Mac Mini 2011 with two 500 GB hard drives.  I have apps and General things about hard drive #1 and #2 only has pictures and videos.  Will be Time Machine backs up both drives to my external hard drive as one or two separate back ups?  I see files of backup HD #1, but not sure if the HD #2 files are also there.  I can't find an answer in the support documents.  Ideas?

  Open the Time Machine system preferences pane, click Options, and check if the disks are in the exclusion list.

  Time Machine backup to a sparsebundle.

  The sparsebundle will use the share name of computer. So, it should be obvious who is your Macbook and that is your Macpro.

  Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...

  You has of course set the exclusion in Time Machine?

  By default, Time Machine will exclude your second drive unless you have included it. Did you?

  Once you get to this level during the backup, you can do a full restore manually whenever you want.
