I wanted to know if it is possible to spend my Hard Drive disk Fusion or a SSD (and if the stores Apple could change?), or if the best thing to do would be to add more RAM or both HD editing and adding RAM? I use my Mac mainly to watch movies (and TV on the Internet), using Word/Excel... • Satellite L305D - cannot HARD - Vista disk partition

I have a new PC laptop toshiba Satellite L305D which I'm unable to partition.
    It works under windows vista.

I released the hard drive up to 74 GB of capacity of 120 GB.
Recently, I used utility partition paragon that signals the related files and is so unable to make the partition.
The narrowing of Vista utility does not display again whatever it is, it appears as 0.

    Hello

What kind of partitions you now exactly?

Perhaps you can post a screenshot of the Vista disk management utility because I m a bit confused now. You wrote about 74 GB of free space and Vista doesn't show anything

I hope this can help you a bit:

  • Satellite Pro A210 - recover the HARD internal disk

Happy new year guys – love the active forum community!

My Satellite Pro A210 dead spectacular a few months back and being out of warranty, I did my best to fix it - diagnosis I think has a faulty motherboard (No bios loading, no start-up through external boot disks/drives) and if I do regular backups, there are always a few files that get missed so connected the HARD drive to another PC to find the HARD drive died in that it is not even turn.

Is it possible, even bother to try to change the circuit printed out the HARD drive, like-for-like, or is the circuit "listens" on the disc (even if it could lead to another Board blown) or what are my options to get the HARD drive looked at and repaired, at what price?

Sorry if this is a stupid question

    Hi bearoon,

This means you want to replace the Control Board on the underside of the HARD drive itself?

Well, theoretically it of possible, but note: you can only replace it with a Board of 100% same HARD drive. If you use it from another HARD disk you can destroy the HARD drive and everything on it always makes not readable so it s sensitive technique.
So before of you exchange it make sure that the model numbers of the two HARD drives are 100% identical.

I've never done this on 2.5 portable hard drives but a few years ago I did it on my drive HARD 3.5 from desktop and it worked and so I was able to recover my data. The reason was that t wasn't HDD spinning up more (totally dead) and the problem was the faulty Control Board.

  • how hard Partition disk (properly)

Sorry for the noob question... but want to get this right before you start installation/migration of the stuff on my new computer: HP Pavilion A6 Vision running Windows 7 Desktop

I want to create a new partition on my hard drive... so I decreased the volume of drive C: using DISK MANAGEMENT... He did it... so once I had a half of the white c:... I formatted the empty spot to make a new "Drive B:"

Seems simple enough... and thought it would be.   But I have a green box around the B: drive saying that it is a "logical drive" when all my other partitions is not a green box around it, and other partitions say they are "Primary Drive", which I assume is desirable for my new drive B: or "Primary Drive" like all the others.

(the key of dark green at the bottom of the screen says it's an "extended" instead of the dark blue 'primary' partition partition.  Guess it is a simple thing... but for the life of me, I can't figure out on my own... Please help.)

    Thanks in advance.

    Fresco,

The reference to documents by TOM are on-site.  The green box shows the extended partition that can be cut upward into logical partitions.

    Bottom line: normal situation

I'm trying to find the maximum size of the hard drive that can be used internally, as the second drive on my dv7-3173nr laptop. It came with a 500 GB drive primary, split into a bunch of partitions: Local disk (C, RECOVERY (D, HP_TOOLS (E, & SYSTEM (G I don't really know what it's all about.))))

My system is Windows 7 64-bit OS, 6 GB of ram.

And what is the partitioning on the main drive?

I already bought the kit, thanks for the info!

My files that I moved in the C: also an error code path E: is not found when I try to open them. I really need to open the way somehow to the files on the 'c: healthy"so I can work with them as I work from home and I can not open my timesheet to send. • Continuous Internet from Windows Update hard/activity, disk activity

    Hello MS community.

Please can someone let me know if they have the same problems I am experiencing, and if there is a fix?

Since an update of Windows in the first fortnight of may my numere is constantly dipping into the Internet and hard drive.  I know it's access to the internet, as when I turn wireless off activity ceases.

Concerned about what is transmitted and wear and tear on the hard drive.

I am completely protected viruses and that you run some malware scans, but nothing comes.

I have 2 laptops being affected by this.  I'm not a technical person, so don't know where to start, outside to pay an exorbitant sum to PC world to fix!

Please can someone shed some light on this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kevin

    Hey Kevin,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. What exactly is the problem with the hard drive?
    2. What anti-virus is installed in the system?

The problem can occur for various reasons, including incorrect TCP/IP settings configured, firewalls third of anti-virus programs blocking the connection, or due to bad the advanced sharing settings. So, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the system is able to connect to the wireless network to constantly.

    Method 1:

Run the network troubleshooting and check if it helps. Run the troubleshooter from network first and then test your Internet connection.

Open the Network Troubleshooter by hitting on any fly in the Dashboard screen, quilting Search(or if you use a mouse, pointing to the top right of the screen, move the mouse down and then clicking search), saving troubleshooting network in the search box, touching or clicking on settingsand then by typing or clicking on identify and fix network problems.

If the problem exists, try the next method.

    Method 2:

One of the components of the Internet connection on your computer is a package of instructions called TCP/IP. Sometimes she is damaged or corrupted, you can try to reset the TCP/IP stack and check.

See the help article to reset the Internet (TCP/IP) Protocol.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

If the problem exists, try the next method.

    Method 3:

Temporarily disable the security software and check if it helps.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Additional information:

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

Your hard drive problems, please send the exact information on the issue of targeted assistance.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

    Hello

The reader at the link below would be perfect for your laptop - it's the largest capacity disk HARD that I know will work in your laptop...

    Hard drive 320 GB

The procedure to replace the hard drive is detailed from Page 61 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Regarding your motherboard specifications, try to install an application like PC Wizard

  • Obsolete spare HARD drive

    Hello

I just sent in my iMac (mid 2010 model) store The Machines (Malaysia) for repair because I can't start the machine to load to the end, it freezes it with a white screen. After 5 days, the shop said that the HARD drive is faulty, but Apple does not carry the spare parts for this model more because it is obsolete. No alternative is provided.

    1. Apple is using a special HARD disk or can I replace it with another model?

    2. I still can't believe that the HARD drive is obsolete. Is there any 3rd party companies that display yet of the party for the previous iMac model?

    Thank you.

    1. You can install the HARD drive you want on your iMac. It is possible to replace yourself, and just get a HARD install disk. OWC is a good place to get a hard drive for iMac-> https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/internal_storage/hard_drives_and_SSD?_ga=1.25500 6030.735377268.1455117871
    2. The HARD drive is not obsolete, but is your iMac. Recently, Apple has considered the two late 2009 and mid-2010 iMacs "obsolete" in most countries, so Apple provides no technical support for them more. However, as I said before, you can always try to fix the iMac yourself.
  • Qosmio G30 (PQG31) - problem with cloned hard drives

    Hi all!

    * Qosmio G30-154 * (* PQG31 *).

Demo of the Qosmio has 2 hard drives with XP MCE (32 bit) installed on the primary.
    The RAID parameters are JBOD.
    BIOS is "newer" 3.90

I would try to upgrade the drives (without installing any OS) and... have a problem!
BSOD "Stop 0x0000007B" after 'clone with resizing' for the main HARD disk.

I read on [drivers Toshiba RAID | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=48489] also [how to integrate the AHCI driver when installing Windows XP | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm] and (or)

F6 (for all usb drivers) is not available to boot OS, sorry.

"cloned" drive is in line with the correct name of made in the BIOS. "Cloned" secondary drive works (with old primary school). How to get access to the new primary OS and loading cloned? Please, any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the system cannot boot to the new HARD disk as the partition where the system is installed, was not marked as bootable system partition.

I recommend to insert the previous HARD drive and to start the laptop.
HARD drive new, cloned could be connected as an external HARD drive to a USB port.

Then you should go to disk management (right click my computer - manage-> management-> disk management computer)
Here you can see the HARD internal disk and the 2nd HARD drive connected to the USB port
Right-click on the partition (2nd HARD drive) where the Win XP has been installed and choose the partition as the system partition and mark it as active.

Then you could change the HARD drive again and could power the device in place. Usually, the system should boot to the top of the new marked system partition.

  • Satellite A200-1N2 what HARD drive are supported?

    Hello

I have an A200-1N2, with the original 120GB hard drive.
I would like to upgraded to a larger capacity HARD internal disk.
Can you please me, whose internal hard disk capacities and types (only IDE?) are supported?

    Thank you very much!!
    Leor

    > Can you please tell me, what capacity internal hard drive and types (only IDE?) are supported?
First of all, for all IDE HDD is NOT supported, because the laptop supports the SATA HDD controller. Therefore, use of SATA 2.5 hard disks.

Given that the SATA controller is not limited to any size, you should be able to use any HARD drive 2.5 SATA.

  • Re: Satellite C850 unbootable - broken HARD drive

    Hello people,

    I bought a * Toshiba Satellite C850 - 1F2 * with * + Windows 8 + *.
After installation, the upgrade to * + Windows 8.1 + * and setting up everything, the whole machine worked well enough.

BUT since yesterday, the laptop no longer starts!
When I turn it on, the HARD drive is click and click and the system tries to boot from DVD, USB, HARD drive, IPv4, IPV6, and then he said, that there is no boot device.

Unfortunately, I tried to do the + restore Windows 8 - backup - DVD + this weekend!
    Huh!

Well, I have one more * + Windows-7-DVD original and license + *, which would be good as well (I used it in recent years).
    * YET *, I can't install * + Windows 7 + *.
He says something like that, that this system is not available for Secure Boot +.

    I read about 'Secure Boot'.
So I pressed F2, turned on the laptop and managed with this BIOS.
    It's a * + InsydeH20 Rev 3.7 + *.
    * BUT *, when I go to "Boot Mode" I don't see myself, this option is grayed out and I cannot change the UEFI Boot + to ++ CSM Boot +.

Even changing the HARD drive made no difference.
I put in my old HDD with Windows 7 installed (which works in the other laptop), but the system does not start, because it is + not suitable for Secure Boot +.

    * Then, of WHAT NOW? *
I mean, we can't really politics of Toshiba, you need to take your laptop, if the HARD drive breaks, it can?
Because I create the rescue-DVD, I just my DVD of Windows 7 and an another HARD drive and installed Windows 7.

I have to buy another license of Windows 8 and an another disk to reinstall Windows 8 (suitable for Secure Boot)?
Would it even work like that?
Or is it possible to upgrade the BIOS for it, I can then change boot UEFI to CSM Boot?
Or is there another chance, to use my other HDD with Windows 7, or at least a new HARD clean disk, on which I can then install my Windows 7 operating system?

I hope someone can give me good advice, what to do now... without throwing the Toshiba laptop ;)

    Thanks in advance!

    > I hope that someone can give me good advice, what to do now... without throwing the Toshiba laptop
Let's start with this sentence. You must not throw your laptop. There's always a last stage that can be done and in your case, you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
This model of laptop is fairly new, so I can imagine that the warranty is still valid, so I think you should contact the service and ask if you can get a new HARD drive for free. I mean why not if the warranty is still valid.
