Hardware not supported familly vmx-11

Hello

I currently have a problem on a VM that I need to include in my infrastructure and which has been entrusted to me par UN client.

Could someone tell me the prerequisite to establishing a VM using the family of hardware vmx-11?

I researched by myself but didn't find anything.

Kind regards

Toad44.

Virtual hardware version 11 is currently only supported by the latest versions of VMware Workstation, player and Fusion (see VMware KB: versions of virtual machine hardware ).

To launch the virtual machine on other products, you will need to downgrade the HW version accordingly. Depending on the features used by the virtual machine, it may be enough to change the virtual machine configuration (.vmx) file manually.

  • ESX 4.1 on hardware not supported

About 2.5 years ago I had membership on a virtualization with a tight enough budget project. We have a VI 3 Foundation license for 2 ESX host. I bought 2 SuperMicro servers that were on the HCL for ESX 3.5. I also built 2 servers SAN iSCSI. We lack ESX 3.5 update 5 and it worked great.

I'm looking to upgrade to 4.1, but my servers are not on the HCL. I talked to SuperMicro, and they said that they do not have the systems that we have for 4.1 certification because they are old. I've got approval of the budget for the vSphere Essentials Plus Kit, but no budget for new hardware.

I've got about 25 virtual machines that run on the 2 hosts and can run them all on a single host if I need to. I would like to install 4.1 on a host and test it on my hardware.

I guess my question is, if I move all my virtual machines to a host ESX 3.5 and install 4.1 on the other host, can I turn on some virtual machines on the host 4.1 for the tests and bring her back safely to the 3.5 host?

Any thoughts? VMs are all presented in the shared iSCSI storage.

If 4.1 is appealing to me, it's performance iSCSI software enhancements, and I could get vMotion with vSphere Essentials Plus Kit.

My ESX hosts are running on SuperMicro X7DW3 boards with 8 processor cores (2 physical processors) and 32 GB of RAM each.

    Thanks for any input.

I downloaded the demo of 4.1. If I implemented a 4.1 Server vCenter and put my 3.5 & a host 4.1 in a data center, can I vMotion hosts between versions of different host? In reviewing the vMotion requirements, there is no mention that the ESX host must run the same version. I have a few off-production virtual machines that I tested with.

Yes, you will be able to vMotion very well.  However, you must leave your license server intact, so that your VI3 hosts can get their license information.

  • Equium L20 - hardware acceleration is turned off or not supported

whenever I try to play a game, it is said the hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card do I do it please help im running windows 7

You must validate the machine model and or the graphic chipset. If for example it's Nvidia then opening the Nvidia control panel and look for the PhysX inffo you will see if hardware acceleration is enabled or disabled at the machine level. Under the 3D settings, there are application specific settings. I would have thought that any game as installed will be enabled these features supporting GPU. Go you into games custom settings and turn on the features are only supported on the latest chipsets high range?

  • HP Pavilion 500-267C: hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver.

I had to reinstall Windows, then reinstall the drivers.  Fortunately, I had saved drivers in the system with the magic of the pilot, it was simple to just restore. However, when I try to start a Windows game, I get this error message:

Hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver, which could slow down the performance of the game. Make sure that you install the latest video card driver and that hardware acceleration is turned on.

I checked, and hardware acceleration is enabled, which leaves wondering what the problem is. In Device Manager, by looking at the audio, video and game controllers, I see only an audio driver. I came to HP site, looking for the right video driver, but I don't know what to download.  My computer does not have a separate graphics card (more pity). It is integrated into the motherboard.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Hi gkfuller,

Have you followed the steps that I recommended above? If this isn't the case, please do and check the result.

Step 1: Remove the game completely:

If the above steps do not work, uninstall and reinstall the game should solve this problem.

How to change or remove a program in Windows XP

After you have uninstalled the game, check that all the game files have been removed from your computer. The remaining game files will be in one of the following locations (depending on the title of the game and your operating system):

    C:\Nancy drew
    C:\Program Files\Nancy Drew
For XP: Folder 'My Documents' (C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Mes Documents)

For more details, see: Impossible to uninstall using Add/Remove Programs

    Step 2: Reinstall the game

To install the game manually, see the steps in the article below.

    Hi n m,

Boot you from the DVD to start the installation, or have you started the installation in the existing version of Windows?

I would like to know if you want to perform a new installation or an upgrade installation.

You can not install Windows on an unallocated partition, if you install vista on brand\fresh the new hard disk, you will need to create partitions on the hard disk.

Method 1:  Format the partition and then try to install Windows Vista.

Important: The applications on the computer and all data will be lost when you format (New Installation) of the partition.

Method 2: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below

  • RAID 0 for a RAID configuration not "this computer's hardware may not supported booting from this drive.

I want to install a new HARD drive in a tower of the mine to a friend. It was initially created as a RAID 0 configuration with two 160 GB HDD. The replacement is a single 1 TB of HARD drive. I get the message "this computer's hardware may not supported booting to this disk.» Am I missing an approach from a RAID 0 for a RAID configuration, no?

    Hi RegularPencils,

I suggest that you check in the basic input/output system (BIOS), if you find an option to disable the RAID. If you find, disable the RAID and try to install Windows vista, check if it helps.

Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk

I get the error message "this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk" when you try to install Windows Vista on a Western Digital Scorpio 640 Gb SATA hard drive in my laptop Q320.  The laptop works very well with WD Scorpio 320 GB hard drives.  I formatted the disk in the installation procedure and use Diskpart to create a partition/format etc, but still no luck.  I have only one disk in the machine.  Can someone advise. Thank you

Are you sure you are using the correct bit size on the disk (32-bit or 64-bit) depending on your computer?  Download and check things with the Vista Upgrade Advisor:http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Vista-Upgrade-Advisor-Download-40277.html (although I suppose that it is is not possible if you have already formatted the drive) and at least check the different devices and installed the software in Vista Compatibility Center: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/.

Here is an article on this specific problem with recommended solutions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925481/en-us.  Note that it says may be a problem with the BIOS (the installation or version) - so you should check the settings and then contact the manufacturer of the computer for the updates that you can install.

    I hope this helps.

When you go to the games (hearts, spider solitaire, etc.). Hello

Check with your system and Intel to support for parameters and the ability of hardware acceleration.
The adapter or the video card must support hardware acceleration AND if so appropriate drivers must
    must be installed.

IF your graphics (video device) enables hardware acceleration.

    1. choose Start > Control Panel.
    2. double-click on customization, and then select display settings.
    3. click on advanced settings.
    4. click on change settings on the Troubleshooting tab.
    5. move the cursor to Enable hardware acceleration
    6. click on apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.
    7. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.
    8 restart Windows.

  • "Windows Media Center cannot detect the IR control cables, which are necessary to control the set-top box. Fixing parts IR that supports the IR control cables and then try again. IR HARDWARE NOT FOUND ".

Original title: when setting up Windows Media Center, I get the error message: "IR hardware not detected".

I have an internal TV Tuner that has been installed by HP, when I bought recently a "computer build-your-own." (According to the control panel Device Manager, my tuner is a Win TV HVR 1290, made by Hauppauge). The computer came with Windows 7. While installing Windows Media Center, after setting up the TV Signal (on channel 3) I am able to see a video thumbnail on my computer screen. I am also able to change the channel using my remote control U-Verse (not the Windows remote control supplied with the computer). So far so good! I then hit next and get the following message: "Windows Media Center cannot detect the IR control cables, which are necessary to control the set-top box. Fixing parts IR that supports the IR control cables and then try again. IR HARDWARE NOT FOUND ".  After you receive this message, the installation procedure is completed. I called HP that support intalled the tuner. They had not the slightest idea what to do. I then called Hauppage customer (manufacturer of TV Tuner). They said that I need to plug one end of the IR Blaster cable that shipped with the computer in a slot in the back of my computer (they told me which slot). They said so to run the IR all the way cable to my cable box and the other end of the cable to my cable box of band. They said it was necessary to be able to use my Microsoft Remote to instruct the box to change channels (cable IR stuck on the box). I told her that I did not use the Microsoft Remote, I could change the channel with my U-verse remote (that I preferred to use anyway). He said that it took the cable on the band decoder in order to remove the error message and the installation of Windows Media Center. I then called U-Verse technical adapter who informed me of their set-top boxes (made by Cisco Systems) do not have the ability to receive signals IR IR Blaster cable (or any othe IR signal source). Microsoft is apparently not understand how U-Verse set-top boxes are designed to work and sells a product incompatible remote control/IR. My question is this: How do I set up Windows Media Center, in order to avoid getting the error message "IR hardware not detected" when you install Windows Media Center and just use the remote control of the U-Verse that I prefer to use in the first place. Once understand you this point, please send the information to HP, At & T U-Verse and others. Thank you.

Ron, I have something for you!

and for all the people who have this problem :)

Hi, I had the time of IR not detected in Windows 7 Ultimate with a TV wonder 650 card and a box of digital adapter from Verizon for my PC... Go on the road to installation and after the Media Center channel search, choose manual configuration. Choose the aerial signal (I aso picked after this analog) l. After he sought more, he finds no channels.  Do not be afraid. Just accept it and go to the main settings page in the Mediacenter. If I remember correctly, then select TV Guide. Choose Add channel. I added the channel 3.

Since my Verizon box has no IR for the computer, I added the channel 3 for the media Center and I change the channels with my Verizon remote. All my stations in the Verizon box go to Channel 3.

The story here is so, for some reason any Windows detects that only my box channel signal TV and you must manually configure the media center on the air, then go to settings and add the channel you want in the guide.

Why the guide TV control which channel you can tune is beyond me, but the scanner locks all channels, it does not detect. they must be added manually in the guide.

My TV works and looks okay now.

    It actually works!

the only problem is that it is not in HD

    but there is something
