Have 3 computers running Firefox 41.0.2 w / stall F.B. scrolling.
Facebook, scrolling of the stalls on 2 laptops and 1 PC with Firefox 41.0.2. I tried refreshing Firefox, removal of the plug-ins, uninstall and reinstall Firefox, nothing seems to help. My other browser I.E. doesn't have this problem of dropout when scrolling on Facebook.
Mozilla doesn't seem to have an own uninstall program and uninstall Windows let old items of data and register of Firefox. I am currently back up the data on my main laptop and I'll it reimage for a prior clone and see if the old version of Firefox works better. Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions that might help?
It depends on several things, including web traffic.

tabs in the application syncs between desktop computers running firefox 4?
I have sync running but app tabs are NOT synchronized. should they be? (in my opinion: Yes!)
If you click on the button 'List all tabs', which is on the far right of the tab bar (which looks like a small triangle pointed downward) the "tabs from other computers" appears in the drop-down menu that appears when you click it.

they have updated ok using automatic updates, but once they came to the service pack one they say that it has been installed ok, but when I check on the system sp1 isn't here. It seems that I'm still on the original version of Vista. I now want to go to SP2 because it is the only supported version now but can't because it says sp1 must be installed first. How can I update?
Hello
-What is the exact error message / complete that you receive when trying to install the SP1 update?-You are aware of any changes made on the computer before this problem? If SP1 has been well installed and still does not appear in the information system we correct as registry below :(a) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion CSDVersionSet it to 100(b) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows CSDVersionSet it to 100(c) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Windows CSDVersionSet it to 100(d) restart the computer.Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. Have Windows 7 running on Parallels Desktop with a Mac. Get "setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" when trying to download a program with Windows Explorer. I can download from these sites with Vista and XP with other computers. Now, I can't download the programs that are supposed to solve the problem! including FoxFire
Try to download from this site:

I am aware of this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/997796 - but I haven't installed AVG. Every time I run Firefox, even in an empty tab page, a few seconds later my bandwidth starts used. I got Cucusoft Net installed guard and TCPEye, and both show that Firefox is connected to the internet and download - even if I have not loaded any page, there's always on 'new tab '...
I too FDM, but this happens with or without its execution (ditto with my XAMMP localhost installation.)
I have disabled all add-ons, and run Firefox in safe mode, still the same thing happens: when I start a new tab, my bandwidth is murdered (parenthesis: my normal surfing via Telkom Mobile internet is sloooow between 60 Kbps and 250 Kbps if I'm lucky, but the download of this background is off-the-charts more than 1 200 Kbps and a few seconds) (, I lost more than 20 MB of mobile internet really really expensive, I just can't afford to waste, that's why I have all these monitors TCP and network graphics running all the time.)
I also ran a Kaspersky rootkit revealer and reported no threat. I have ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall that does report also no infection (ditto ClamWin)
I found the problem... it's Firefox.
How bloody rude of Firefox... I put my browsers NOT auto-Update (because my bandwidth is so bloody expensive) but you choose to override my settings and auto-update anyway... WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
How bloody rude.
There's a reason why we put 'no' to the updates, and I expect that respect you this shit.

I've been running firefox now for about 4 years and love. Recently, I tried signing and he spends just a blank page. I uninstalled it and re installed nothing helps. I have it on my list for my wall of green fire and we tried all the difficulties that I can. can you please help. I use your program running my websites so much better than chrome or internet explore. attached is a photo of what I experience when I'm trying to sign. than you in advance. Colleen
Hi Colleen, assuming that it is not a problem of external software, then the next few things to try include:
Firefox Safe mode
It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable extensions, hardware acceleration, and a few other advanced features of Firefox. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
If the menus are usable, you can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works
After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
If the menus are not usable, exit/crash Firefox and hold down the SHIFT key when you start again. A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
You can load pages?
If you have the same problem, it could be something in your settings or in the Firefox program folder. These approaches test these possibilities.
Create a new Firefox profile
A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also come with fresh data bases of completely fresh settings and a cache folder.
Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):
firefox.exe -P
Do not delete anything here.
Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.
Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like Dec17 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.
You can load all the pages in the new profile?
If so, this looks like a settings problem. If this isn't the case, it could be the Firefox program files corruption. See the "Clean reinstall" section below.
When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.
To keep the new profile, and migrate the data, see the article: recovery of data from an old profile.
Or as an interim measure, you can return to your regular profile and try the Reset/Refresh function. This article describes what is preserved and lost in this process: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.
Clean reinstall it
(1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 34 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).
(2) the release of Firefox.
(3) to rename the program folder
(Windows 32-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files\OldFirefox
(Windows 64-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
(4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
When you start Firefox, you may need to use the Profile Manager to return to your regular profile.
Any improvement?
Note: Some plugins recently installed can exist only in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:
- \OldFirefox\Plugins
- \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

In the last two weeks, whenever I run Firefox, a grandeur nature pop-under ad is also launched, regardless of which site I am browsing.
The original ad was for a survey on You Tube and contains a link to coupondropdown.com, where there is a menu option for uninstalling. The uninstall instructions don't make sense, they do not mention what ad - control ads, and I can't work out what is responsible for the ads of my very basic range of ad - ons.
The reason why I write, it is that ads increased by annoying but harmless, dangerous. The announcement today was conceived as a pop-up warning text says, ' detection: immediate Action required.» Fatal error in registry... click on 'Repair All' to eliminate all possible threats and clean your PC". I have screenshots of all the foregoing.
I'm worried that another user, my son or mother, might take this warning seriously and install malware by accident. What can I do to prevent these ads? I expect this type of advertising malware on dubious websites, I get them when I try to access Hotmail, news, etc., so it is not the site that is originally.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

I have extracted the tar file, but could not find a Firefox update script file. I don't want to spoil the Firefox that works, so I'm not blindly run something that I don't know what he'll do. I can't find instructions on how to manually update Firefox, and it will not be upgraded automatically. What is my next step? Can I get help?
You currently have the version of Firefox which is the hallmark of SUSE, and version should be updated via this facility deposits.

You can copy the content of archive tar.bz2 to another folder and create a new launcher to launch the firefox script in this folder to run this version of Firefox with this profile by adding Pei 'profile_name' in the command field.
You must create a new profile if you want to continue to use the version of Firefox 3.6.x

Currently running on the laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 Firefox 3.5.13 and want to move my favorites to a new laptop. New laptop using Win 7 pro 64 - bit OS. I've read too many conflicting reports on Firefox and Win 7 and Firefox works on a real 64 - bit version. What are my choices for a stable browser for the new laptop and what specific version of Firefox is recommended, and the advantages and disadvantages of this suggestion? (I think we can run Firefox 32-bit version in the 64-bit environment, but which is the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on the new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. It is displayed for my old laptop. Thank you...
Mozilla working on a 64-bit version of Firefox, but it's a way off. Currently, the only release versions are 32-bit, and the next major version will be also only 32 bits.
I recommend that you install the latest version of publication (3.6.10) available since http://www.mozilla.com/
To copy bookmarks, follow the procedure described in the article restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer to save a json file, you can import (restore) on the new laptop. You can copy more bookmarks, for details, see back up and restore the information contained in the Firefox profiles and backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base Profile. The last link includes a third-party utility that can make the process easier.

There is a much more recent graphics driver available.
1. someone else with Widnows 10 has a handle leak when running Firefox?
2A enyone has resolved and how?
3. has anyone upgraded to the last jerking of Intel's Intel HD graphics and there it works well?

I stopped the handle leak.
It was actually caused by BitDefender, my AV software and not Firefox.
I stopped it by disabling "Active control of threat" in BitDefender.
