  You mean, how do you know if OpenGL is active in Photoshop? You can check that in Edit-> preferences-> Performance

• Problem opening Composition in CS4 on Windows 7 (which worked in Vista) 32-bit

  Merry Christmas! I hope that everyone is having a better that I am right now!
  
  With little information about what I have and what is happening.
  
  My machine is a machine made to measure with a motherboard ASUS P5KC, Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz and 4.00 GB of RAM DDR3 with an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX.
  
  Yesterday, when I was working on this video, I got Windows Vista Home 32-bit installed. All fonts, images, plug-ins, etc were there, works very well. The project has had several compositions with some 3D elements.
  
  Somehow this computer has been infected with a nasty little trojan; clean it enough to get my files out there and make a backup.
  
  I then installed Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, re-installed After Effects CS4, copied all video Copilot Evolution and Pro Scores, sound effects designer and Action Movie Essentials to the machine; installed fonts and plugins again.
  
  I tried to start After Effects and open the project; everything was good, he acknowledged that there were 53 of the elements that are not found (not coupled images). However, once it has loaded and it started to load the last composition I had opened (which is be the only big enough with 3-d elements), it would just freeze and become 'unresponsive. '
  
  I tried this several times; no luck.
  
  I then started a new project and the project "drug" existing to the new. This allowed me to open the project without opening the previous composition. I was then able to add a link to images and sounds. I was then able to open the other compositions, but at the time wherever I tried to open the composition that I tried earlier, it froze again.
  
  So I thought, well maybe, I can just make or make a power of Attorney, etc.

  The problem seems to be in the publication named "Running". When I tried to open this composition, After Effects has entered an attempt apparently endless to make the first image, using a lot of CPU power, but not a lot of memory to do so. So, this doesn't seem to be a memory problem. I was able to open the composition by pressing the Caps Lock key before doing anything; This tells After Effects to not try to render frames. If I had to troubleshoot this further, I would open this publication, disable all layers and then turn them back on one at a time to see which are the source of the problem.

  I hope that's enough to help you get started.

  BTW, I checked this on Windows Vista 64-bit. I would be really surprised if it had something to do with the specific operating system.

  Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.

  I'm not sure I get the problem, are you are having trouble downloading the program or installation-these are two totally different issues.  It probably has more to do with iTunes than Vista.

• Having problems to enter the contacts on Windows Mail.

  I did nothing to my computer except have a laptop wireless set up by BestBuy.  Is it possible that they did something to Windows Mail.  I had no problems to enter the contacts prior to their visit.

• Having problem reinstall Photoshop Elements 6.0.

  When I was upgrading my computer to Windows 8, my friend recommended I copy over all my files on a USB backup. When I upgrade my computer to Windows 8, most of my finished files are removed for some reason any. I managed to reinstall most of my files. However, I don't know how to reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 in files that are saved on my USB key. Is there anyway that I can do this? I really don't want to have to buy a new version of Adobe Photoshop Elements I only ever really use it for editing.

  Unfortunately, you need to have the installation files to install the software on another computer.  There is no download available for 6 items, so if you do not have a version of disk then you will have many choices but at the level to a new version.

  Please let me know what error message you get when opening the software. A version of the software at retail is good for 2 computers only.

  If you want to install it on a computer of 3rd you must disable the software one of the computer by launching the application and by going to the "Help" menu and select "disable."

• Is anyone having problems with their power settings in Windows 7 RC?

  When I leave the computer to turn off mode standby, the screen remains on standby to try to wake the computer.  I had to reboot the system to get the screen to wake.  Everyone knows about this problem?  It is an old computer that I use to test various programs, crash and not reconstruct my main system.

  Hi all

  I found this in another forum.  I suggest you try the following.

  Control Panel / hardware and sound / Power Options / change the parameters of the Plan / change advanced power settings.  Find the parameters of the material sleep like Wireless, PCI Express and hard as well as the things you don't have in your system under "change settings that are currently unavailable" and disable them.  These are the usual elements who do not return from sleep mode.

• How can I fix error Code 16 when trying to open Photoshop cs6 extended on Windows 8.1?

  I got a new laptop today and I spent all day moving my files from my old laptop to the new.

  I copied the old Adobe folder and pasted to the new in the program folder files

  but had to keep going back as I noticed I was missing some files and components.

• Having problem opening Lightroom

  I used to have the trial version of Lightroom on another account, (it has expired), but then I went to my account that I have with the company I work with, since they pay for the monthly creative cloud and went to reinstall Lightroom, but it won't work.
  I just get the picture of the opening of the program and then a pop up appears with the information: "you cannot create the necessary folder / users / KumaCao / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom / development presets." and just gets stuck there.
  I tried to uninstall and install everything and did a restart of my imac, but the same message keeps popping up.

  This error has been widely reported in Photoshop recently since the Nik plugin was silently updated by Google. Nik autoupdater didn't work and caused this error "MSVCP110.dll is missing" for many.

  If this applies to you, then the solution has been re - download the plugin from Nik filters and reinstall.
