HDMI output connection not detected

Help! When I plug my HDMI cable from my laptop to my HD TV, I get a No Signal message on my TV. I watched the movies before. For some reason any yesterday, it just stopped working. I consider the sound option in the control panel and it shows the devide as enabled but not connected. When I plug the HDMI cable, the status is the same: cable disconnected. I tried to change the status to activate, deactivate and return, but nothing...
There must be something that has changed in the settings to not be able to pick up the HDMI cable over. I tried my Blue ray with this cable and it works fine.
NO.

Hello Cxg131,

Welcome to Microsoft Vista Forum.

We can try a few things in this case.

1 > do a clean boot to see if this is due to third party services or not. The steps to do a clean boot are listed in the link below.

www.support.Microsoft.com/kb/331796

2 > if it does not, you can try to update the graphic card driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site.

3 > please check the same in another port and also try it on a different TV with working port known.

Please tell me the model and the system of the laptop manufacturer's name so that I can search more resolutions.

Please do not reply back so that I can help you.

  • HDMI port is not detected on my Satellite L755-1NX

    Hello

I have a problem with the conector HDMI to my new laptop, I have bougth 2 weeks ago.
The laptop detects no HDMI port. When I conect the laptop to a TV or monitor on a different pc, any of these detects anything.

I tried to update a lot of drivers, old and new drivers Nvidia display drivers Intel... And I also do the 4 recovery DVDs, to restore the laptop to factory settings.

All this without any solution. When I press Fn + F5, only there is the option of the LCD screen.

I intend to use the guarantee to repair the laptop, because I think it's a hardware problem.

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think you should use the recovery discs that you made in the past.
Retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings and check if the HDMI would work again.

And of course: it is possible that your HDMI cable is not correct.

  • USB connection not detected for Samsung Fascinate

I have a smart phone Samsung Fascinate 1500.  When I connect it by USB to my computer, the computer no longer detects it as a media device or mass storage mode (although it worked fine the first few times).  The phone also does not detect the connection and simply seeks to charge the battery.  I downloaded the latest drivers and tried allowing pop ups without success.  Any ideas?  I cannot download my music, and it's a lot of time to transfer photos by other means..., including that I had to buy a SD card adapter.

The USB port works with other devices.  I don't think that the USB cord to my phone is the problem, as others have shared this problem in other forums.  Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi Lin,

    1. have you tried to connect the phone to another computer?

    2. have you made any recent changes of hardware software on the computer?

Test the device on another computer. Additionally, make sure that the software provided with the Samsung phone is updated.

  • NVIDIA HDMI output "Is not connected" - Audio does not have TV

I have a HP HDX X18T-1200 CTO Premium Notebook PC.

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit, Service Pack 1.

Some time previously, the audio has stopped working when you plug an HDMI cable to my tv (perhaps after updating a driver?). It always occurs on the laptop itself.

Under the control panel: sound, the output device HDMI NVIDIA said that it is "not connected" and is grayed out so I can't set as default device. I can see the video output to the TV, but the audio is not go with her, even when you set the video mode for projector only.

I tried to uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and drivers NVIDIA High Definition Audio from the Device Manager, but that did not help. The IDT driver is version 6.10.6276.0, and the Nvidia is 1.2.24.0. Both are as up-to-date as possible I think.

I work in the COMPUTER industry, so I'm not a total fool when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's me confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    So here's what I discovered...

The link to the Nvidia site provided by maxpower757 also had a link to this page on this topic: No. HDMI audio when connected to a TV by Philips HD graphics card. In case the link stops working at some point, this is what he said:

    • Some Philips HDMI screens may have problems with some older NVIDIA graphics cards that could lead to corruption of the image when the audio over HDMI is turned on. In this case, the NVIDIA driver attempts to identify these views and default settings to disable the audio if necessary. To re-enable audio (note that this could cause corruption of the image), go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then select the page resolution of changes in the View Menu. Select your HDMI display in step 1, and then change the connector in step 2 of "HDMI-HDTV (compatible Audio)" and select apply.

But when I went looking this "connector" setting, it was not found. I upgraded my drivers to the latest versions, and it was there! When I put it to Audio-enabled, it pops up a warning, and after clicking on Yes, I could open the peripheral reading window and set the HDMI as the default device.

Hooray! It works again! Here is a screenshot of the setting you would look to (notice the connector set in the middle of the window).

  • Qosmio X 500 and an HDMI output does not automatically

    Sorry for my English...

    Hello.

    I have a Qosmio x 500 recently that runs on Windows 8.1

Previously, when I plugged the PC to TV hdmi cable, I had (Samsung TV), a beep on the PC, binding and done automatically? the TV is on (if it was in standby).

I could even control the PC with the TV remote control, put a film, break, etc... Super convenient!

Source indicated on the TV Anynet + pc Toshiba.
And when I switched with the TV remote control at the TV, the screen of the PC is turned on.
    *
Off, despite attempts repeated at least 5 software (drivers)? Different certified Toshiba HDMI, I didn't do it and I have to manually switch to see the PC on the TV (choose the HDMI source on the TV).

HDMICtrlMan is a folder where, after installation, there are:
    ChangeOutput.exe
    HCMSoundChanger.exe
    HDMICtrlCfg.exe
    HDMICtrlMan.exe

    But nothing works!

I've also updated the audio and video driver: gforce gts 360 m
    But now I want!

And I don't know the progression of the computer when you connect an HDMI cable (depending on the graphics chip?).

If someone has an idea or experience of this problem, thanks in advance

You have installed Windows 8.1 on Qosmio X 500 but the Win 8.1 is not possible on this model of laptop and so there is no drivers Win 8.1 available.

The page of the Toshiba UE driver provides control manager HDMI and remote Manager for Win 7.
HDMI Control Manager is required for the HDMI controller and TOSHIBA Remote Control Manager improves the support for a remote control on your Qosmio X 500.

I guess that you are not able to use all the features of laptop HDMI due to lack of software for Win 8.1.

Maybe you can try the software and drivers Win 8.1 released for other series of Qosmio as Qosmio 875

When you look under the playback devices, "no audio device is installed", it's what you see.

I have also pressed the logo keys windows + X, the device selected and then on extended Manager Device Manager ' audio, video game "and there is a yellow exclamation beside Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM).

  • Internet connection are not detected

Hi, I switch from win xp to 7. After the installation of acrobat 8 made, I had the problem during the activation. Can't activate error msg "INTERNET CONNECTION NOT DETECTED". Please help solve. Thank you.

If you use the 32-bit version, you can be in the best chance. It seems like a lot to win 8 is similar to Win 7 (I know it's probably debatable) and several people reported to work on Win 7. If you haven't tried with the record as an administrator and by disabling antivirus during installation, you may be successful. However, you have apparently installed. There may be some changes to the operation of the internet on 8 to win and who will be, but this isn't something I'm good. If you are not in a hurry and stop regularly, maybe some people will be accompanied by suggestions.

AA7 and before, the main problem with Win 7 was the failure of AcroTray. I hope some people will be here soon.

  • No signal HDMI when connected to the TV (Aspire V3 - 571)

    Hello

I'm really trampled here and need help. I have an Aspire V3-571. Please see the summary below in the chips:

1 used to operate correctly when it is connected to my TV (via a HDMI cable)

    2. one night, what laptop was connected to the TV, picture started to blink

    3. after 20 minutes, the HDMI signal is not detected for the laptop

    4. Update driver Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Date: 29/01/2014 Version: 9.17.10.3347)

5 tried to use different HDMI cables

    6. press Fn + F5 does nothing

My TV HDMI port works with other devices when connected to it. What I'm missing here? Is there a defect of material with my laptop?

Any advice or help on this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello...

All information provided I see that you have already updated driver, tried different cables and also checked the HDMI port on your TV. I suggest you check the laptop's hdmi port by plugging another device like external monitor.

If you don't get any screen, it could be a problem with the laptop's hdmi port.

  • I have a NVidia GTS450 with HDMI output. When I connected it I had sound & vision. After the first time that I turned off the desktop computer sound options just told me THAT HDMI is not connected?

I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. It does not seem to recognize the connection although it is really connected and one / v amp is running. I get the desktop on the HD TV but no sound.

    Hello

By default the Vista transmits no sound on HDMI output.  To change this to change the settings in the control panel.

Note: This will turn off sound from speakers or normal audio output on the laptop.  To get that back, you will need to reverse this process.

    a. click on the button 'start '.

    b. click on 'control panel '.
    c. with the control to the "Control Panel Home" Panel, click on 'hardware and sound '.
    d. where it says 'Sound' in green letters, there are three options below that are in blue, click on "manage Audio devices.
    e. This will bring up a window titled "Sound".
    f. on the tab 'Read', he has listed the sound options at your disposal. It should read "peripheral digital output (HDMI)" click on it.
    g. There should now be a checkmark on this option.
    h. the sound should play through your HDMI connections to the TV.

  • Does not detect the hdmi cable more (very specific scenario)

    Well then...

Got a monitor 15-HD to hdmi cable and a mac laptop (13 in the retina).

So when I got all that I put it all together and it worked. I left because there a little bit, everything is plugged in and did not return for some time, so my mac fell asleep at the time wherever I went. Disconnected everything to relax on the couch. I went back and all plugged together again except that now the mac does not detect the cable. Tried a bunch of things with it. Restart, unplug the unit, detection manually, etc...

Since the monitor is used and recently purchased cable, I thought time to them to test first. Got a laptop PC and plugged into the cable. The monitor and cable worked.

Tried to connect my mac to the TV with my ps4′s hdmi since I did that a lot before. Also works.

The problem is literally the combination between the cable and the mac. Which is a problem since I got the reason was to serve as my mac.

During my research, I saw that specifically leaving the connected hdmi where sleeps your laptop can spoil it supposed to be... I saw it one time so idk if it's true, but it happened to me... and no, it wasn't really a solution when I came across that. Tried Googling this specific problem, but did not meet anything since my problem seems so specific.

Fast forward to the next day and tried again now that both had little respite between them. Plugged into the HDMI and my laptop starts fading and return to a black screen. The screen would go black usually and so the laptop screen and the monitor would appear once again. sauf_que this time that there not, he just kept it and the monitor has not changed (Yes) it's). Not wanting to let him do that too long I unplugged and tried a different port with an adapter, I have also, since I did 3 holes I could use this for might as well try them all again. But unfortunately, I don't have it trigger anything again. So I went through another round of troubleshooting to try to make it work, but here I am, trying to see if anyone else has had this problem and solved. I am back to wait another day I guess and just hope. If not idk what to do, except maybe to get another cable? I don't know if this would solve it well.

Thank you for reaching out to the Apple of community support. I'll do everything I can to help you get your monitor works as expected. • 52 "Regza TV Audio - HDMI-output optical audio problem does not

    Hello

friend of mine has a Regza 52 "LCD TV.
She's trying to connect its apple TV & Optus Fetch device (cable TV) on the HDMI inputs and then having the audio outpot of optical fiber audio outpot to his BOSE amplifier.

My understanding is that when you select an HDMI input, then the video and audio must be addressed.
So you should see the video on the HDMI channel and need to hear the sound.

What is happening is that she sees the video selected on the HDMI channel, but not audio, the sound heard is actually free in the atmosphere of television station that had been retained.

We tried all the TV menu options successfully.

How do we get the optical audio output to be on the instructions of the HDMI input?

    Thanks for the help
    Peter

    Hi Peter

All this should not be so complicated. Using an HDMI cable, you can transmit video and audio to external device to TV signals. For example, if you use the HDMI 1 port and turn on the V you should see the picture and hear the sound of the TV.

For audio, you can use an external device like Hi-Fi receiver or this BOSE amplifier. Using the optical audio output of fiber on your TV, you should hear the TV sound look no matter what external device is the source or which channel you. What you see on the TV the sound comes through this amplifier.

I have this BOSE unit, but all I know is that when you want to hear his amplifier the right port or channel must be enabled there.

I use my Toshiba TV connected to the Yamaha V537 amplifier with optical cable and it is listed under AV4 port. So when I want to hear the sound on my Yamaha I need to enable port AV4 on it and its is here.
Some additional settings on the TV are not necessary. Optical output on the TV is always on (see the red light on the inside).

Check this please on BOSE amplifier.
