  It's been a while since I used XP Mode and I don't remember all the details, but I remember that you will not be able to attach a USB device if it is connected to the host computer using a USB 3.0 port.

  You can share a USB device that is attached to a USB 3.0 port (or at least, you can do this with a flash drive USB;) I don't know about printers or scanners).

  I don't know about you, but I suspect that unlike a printer or a scanner, USB flash drive must be attached to the virtual machine rather than share the XP Mode and the host operating system.

  I recently discovered that I have seem to be 'locked' on my firewall settings.  I discovered it not because I had problems with my firewall or internet but because I went to control panel to change some settings of firewall and found this:

  So I press "Use recommended settings" and think computer for a few seconds and then nothing changes or happens.
  My firewall seems to work very well, but why I can't access its settings?

  The first thing I did was a scan of my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials and Spy-bot Search and Destroy.  Microsoft Security Essentials found a virus, but after I removed and restarted my computer the problem remains.

  I did a lot of research on this problem before posting here then here are the following things, I've tried.  Every possible solution is fixed at 1 photo:

  When I buy my Mac, I was told that I could run Win 7 on a virtual machine using the Parallels application. I bought the Parallels software and an OEM Version of Win 7 Home Premium and istall and activate it without any problem. Recently, my hard drive crashed and I need to replace the hard drive and reinstall all software including the virtual machine and Win 7. I could not reactivate the Win 7 and I could not reactivate the Win 7 on the same machine.

  Their support came back with a long history to this subject and this restriction and in short to expect me to buy a version full of Windows 7 to install in Mac. Why OEM version is freely available and still no appropriate advice are given to the retailer t explain some limitations?   My Garmin GPS recently stopped to connect to my PC, I hear the beep when it connects and the driver is loaded in Device Manager, but appears as unallocated disk1 in disk management and will not assign a drive letter. It works fine on any other machine. (The same thing happened to my nook also color).
  Here is what I tried:
  1. tried all ports USB - same effect
  2 uninstalled/re-installed all the usb drivers
  3 remove the controller device manager usb and windows allowed to re - install.

  I am currently at a loss as to what else to try

• Can't get Windows 7 to turn on the Virtual Machine

  I bought a Mac a few months and installed VMWare Fusion to run some software that I could not for Mac.  I bought Windows 7 and activated successfully.  After using VMWare Fusion for a while, I discovered that I hated and has decided to move to Parallels instead.  Because my VMWare Fusion virtual machine contains a program that I use for my business, I wanted to make sure everything was working smoothly on my Parallels before I have uninstall VMWare.   Part of the installation process of Parallels, is that the program will import everything that was in the other virtual machine, I didn't so not re - install anything.  I want to activate Windows 7 in parallel but I get the error 0xc004c008 code; which I suppose is because this activation code is already used on the install on my other virtual machine.  I would like to call Microsoft and ask, but it seems that there is a fee of $59.00 to email, phone or chat.  #microsoftripoff

  I talked to a technician windows, hp tech and my tech at & t.  Everyone took control remote my PC and tried to solve my problem, but to no avail.  the printer works perfectly with the new ink when printing from the test of the printer on the printer control panel, but not from the PC to the printer test.  The text on the printer test done by selecting the printer control is nice and black.  When you choose print in the PC, black is a light grey and unreadable.  All the drivers are up to date, the printer has been uninstalled and installed again... all the settings have been made by the technicians.  It will not print from my PC.  I'll have to go somewhere tomorrow to print some important documents required for the trip.  A friend who is a technology too, but did not see my PC, says it's the windows 10 this is the problem and there appears no way to fix it.  Does anyone know how to uninstall the windows 10 and return to windows 7, I loved and who was visually much better and I was able to print from like a charm.  I need to get there soon.  Thank you

  If you don't like Windows 10, there is provision integrated into Windows 10 for you to restore to the previous operating system, within 30 days.
