  Recently (the last couple of weeks), my laptop Dell 1545 with Windows 7 started having a problem: when I record or reading any WAV file (or a file MPG or WMV video too by the way) with any application (I tried several), there is a stuttering or interruption every 30 seconds like clockwork.  I have tried everything and can't seem to fix it.  During playback, it causes a split second buzz or silent, on the record, missing just a fraction of a second of audio, leaving a 'leap' in the best stuff WAV audio recording.  The only changes that I made in the system in the past month have been a few updates to Windows 7.  It ruins any recording or playback, I try to do, and is very frustrating.  It does the same thing on the files that are years old and new files (reading).  If I burn these files to a CD or DVD, they play very well in the CD drive or DVD, is not a problem in the files (except those currently record during breaks).

  What I tried:

  Much, restart several times.

  Reinstall the driver for my audio interface, even if she did the same on the native sound card too.

  Download the new driver from the audio interface and install it.

  Back to the old driver, then again to the new.

  Tried to record from multiple sources, ditto.

  I tried recording through the native as well as audio interface sound card.

  Deleted 40 GB from my hard drive.

  Defragged my hard drive

  Off my anti-virus program

  Close all other programs other than playback of the file.

  All USB disconnected elements.

  Tried to plugged the charger and entirely on batteries.

  RAM tested.

  Tested CPU.

  Nothing has worked so far.

  Any ideas?

  DWasnich: I had the same problem as you yesterday after restoring my Dell Inspiron 1545 to factory image. Through process of elimination (as mentioned Gokul T) I was able to determine that one of the services was originally the audio and video to jump to 30-second intervals. I disabled the 'Intel Matrix Storage Monitor' service and solved the problem. Why this service was installed and running after the factory reload is confusing. This is one portable hard drive without needing a RAID System. I hope this has solved your problem too! Joe

  Hi Mike,.

  You can override the PreUUT and the PostUUT callbacks to allow your movie file to run continuously without prompting the user for input.

  Select Edit» sequence file reminders...  Add PreUUT and PostUUT to the list of reminders.  Now, these versions will be replace those of your process template, but will contain nothing.  This means that the steps that require a user input that run normally to the pre and PostUUT will not run and therefore your sequence will be curly all the time.

  When you want to stop, you need to use the Finish button.

• Monitor, recorder and playback using ddns program

  Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't install the WVC54GCA monitor program to find a camera remotely using the URL given (via TZO).  Configuration features only a place for IP address, no URL.   If I find the current (dynamic) IP address for the camera remotely and plug in, everything works fine, but when the IP address is changed, I'll have to re - enter the new address.  A little defeated the purpose of the use of TZO.

  I called technical support and after 1/2 hour, I realized that they had no idea what I was talking about.  A specialist has promised to call back me, but it didn't happen.  I think that Linksys, which also makes good products, should reconsider support overseas.  It never works!   Just blowin' - blow off steam here...

  Anyone have an idea how I can fix this or what I am doing wrong?

• ULaw and alaw record and play G711

  I want to be able to capture and play directly to the a - law and u - law format.  I have read several posts on how to put the reader (capture in my case) in amr and pcm mode.

  Capture of AMR and PCM is not a problem, but the correct string of capture to capture the u - law data is unknown to me.

  for the record:

  capture://audio? Encoding = PCM works, also tried something like:

  capture://audio? Encoding = PCMU (does not), also tried to replace with pcmu, ulaw, audio/x-ulaw

  capture://audio? Encoding = AMR (works)

  When I exit the capture I get supported types:

  Device supports capture Type: audio / amr
  Device supports capture Type: audio / basic
  Device supports capture Type: audio / x - gsm
  Device supports capture Type: image / jpeg

  To play, I think that I should put the x - wav player and provide good wav header, will try later, but my first concern registers directly as G711.

  I'm running on Simulator and device (BB Torch v6) which should be able to support the u-law/a-law.

  someone at - there more information on this? It is not possible or should I put the recorder in pcm mode and convert my data on the fly?

  Hi James!

  Registration is only linear PCM.  The reading can be linear, G711 uLaw and alaw for PCM.  On a BlackBerry audio/basic = audio/pcm.

  If you are interested, GSM is GSM6.10 of recording and playback, AMR's locker AMR - NB 12.2 Kb/s (unless you specify voipMode = true in your locator, but I will not go into these details, you can search the forums if you need more information on this) and any mode of AMR - NB valid for playback (only three units I know can also playback AMR - WB and AMR - WB +).

  Finally, to save some time there is code attached to this question (if you can connect, related to this thread) who has code to generate headers wav on the Blackberry platform for you.

  I have a variable of string - serialization of an xml variable result - in a process.

  It has a length of 'unlimited '.

  If you have the old drive connected as, say, drive E, go to:

  E:\Users\username
  

  Then click in the address bar and paste it after this and press ENTER to open it:

  \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  

  Normally, you have only one file, which has a random string followed by "default." In this case, click on this file and find the subfolder bookmarkbackups.

  If you find multiple profile folders, look inside to find the most recently updated backups.

  To restore the backup files, see: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer

• Satellite P100 - 434 PSPADE randomly loses connection WLan

  As shown in the topic I have a Toshiba laptop - P100-434 (PSPADE) and my problem is that when using the internet (mainly the videos in streaming and surprisingly not where to play online games) my phone randomly loses the connection to my wireless network.

  It also stops being able to see other wireless networks, it will always connect fine cable networks, but it requires a reboot to be able to connect to my wireless again.

  No other PC home get this problem and my wireless is still on when I use ipconfig I thought that my media is disconnected.

  I tried to restart my router, update my drivers and about all the alternatives I can think, but still I had no chance. Someone at - it ideas?

  I've deployed a Telepresence from Cisco Content Server (TCS 5.3) and met with problem regarding on how to play videos recorded by video endpoint.

  Under modify records, I don't see an option or the option 'Make check-in available for play on the endpoints '.

  Referring on the Administrator's guide TCS it is said that "If this box is not on the page of registration of amendment, a site Content Server Manager has not configured the prefixes necessary to an alias of reading E.164 and H.323 reading ID to communicate with a site manager for more information. What does that mean?

  And where I can configure the reading reading alias/H323 ID?

  The TCS is registered as SIP and H323 (E.164) on the control of VCS.

  Recorded content have been updated with the recording of "publish".

  You must do the following:

  Key 'Premium résolution' option must be installed.

  Record configuration, see the Site settings, such as 'Bridge', not 'Terminal '.

  

  Enter the prefixes to use for recording, and also for playback, it may not be the same.

  Note that prefix of reading options will be unavailable unless the resolution option key Premium is installed.

  Also note the playback using the SIP is not supported at this stage.

• Hearing "Audio Engine" affects the record?

  A question for those who know more about this than me:

  I'm in a debate with someone on another forum that told me that, as soon as you click on the file, the audio engine in a DAW like Audition processes the sound - and the cause algorithms used DAWs have their own distinct 'sounds'.

  I have always believed - or to the less supposed to - A - D interface you use produces a stream of numbers and that these are transferred to your hard drive without input or intervention by the software, check in.  Yes, once you start the different audio processing software can handle things differently and different sounds - but this really happens to record stage?

  Now I'm really curious as to if it's some audiophile nonsense - or if I was working under it as misunderstanding for a decade or two.

  Our goal has always been to let the raw data.  You have an input source feeding your audio device, spitting bits at the hearing.  As long as all the frequencies corresponding sampling and you save at the highest possible throughput using an ASIO driver, hearing of bits on the disk writes should be identical to the one that comes down the pipe.

  As Steve mentions, there are circumstances beyond control of hearings that could affect these bits.  If you choose to save an entry at a lower rate, then by default part of these data is thrown out.  If you use a sound driver of MS, or have enabled a lot of special effects in your audio control panel - including 3D effects and spatial horrible provided with more creative devices, then hearing faithfully records only what comes out of the other end of this string, but has no control over what happens between the source and himself.

  Otherwise, hearing does nothing for 'color' of the record, and frankly any DAW that is without notice if should be uninstalled immediately.  Audio production aims to make your recordings sound as YOU want them, not how a bunch of geeks upward in Seattle you should ring.  If anyone can provide irrefutable evidence that the hearing is change the input stream of this way, please send it to me as soon as POSSIBLE in order to write a few bugs and chew someone.

  The next time you see the flashing light amber...

  Open Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility

  Click on the image of the AirPort Express

  If you see a button update, click on update the firmware on the airport

  

  Otherwise, find status and click on the little orange dot it. A message will appear to say why the airport complained and suggest a remedy for the issue.
