Hearing does not open

Hearing 5.5 does not open. Get a message window says "Adobe Audition has stopped working". Tried to uninstall and reinstall. No solution. I've had versions 3 and installed CS5.5. Not open go in the first or stand-alone.

Version 3 worked, but I can turn it on is more - separate issue.

Hi Percoplus,

Here is a list of measures to solve this problem:

1 hold down the SHIFT key while you start hearing

This replaces the preference files and launches the hearing using the default settings.

2. manually rename or delete the folder Preferences

Step 1 overrides only some preference files, while others such as workspace preference files, may be the cause of the problem.  Depending on your operating system, look for the "5.0" folder in the situation below and rename it or delete it.

Windows XP: C:\Document and Settings\\Application Data\Adobe\Audition\5.0\

Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\ *.

Mac OS X: ~\Library\Preferences\Adobe\Audition\5.0\ *.

* "AppData" may be a hidden folder.  You can type in the address bar, or enable "Show Hidden Files" in Windows.

* This is your library folder at the user level, not at the level of the system tree.

3. check your file Log.txt hearing

To enable a log with CS 5.5 file, you must create an empty file in your preferences folder called "Hearing Log.txt" using Notepad, text edit or any other editor.  After you create this file, start hearing and if it fails, open or share the log file for more information on what is happening.

4. check the console log or an operating system error

OS X and Windows can track application errors, and if the problem occurred outside the application code - a driver conflict, for example - then the operating system error report can be more informative than what we can get from the application.

OS x: launch /Applications/Utilities/Console.app clear the view, and then launch the hearing and note any error messages that appear.

Windows: launch the control panel > administrative tools > event viewer > Windows Logs > Application can start hearing and note any error messages that appear.

5. replace in place hearing

If at this stage, nothing has solved the problem or the error logs are not conclusive, it is the right time to uninstall hearing, reboot, then reinstall the hearing.

6 get the complete crash dump and send it to the Adobe creative team

If you have gone through all the steps above, you have disconnected all external hardware interfaces to rule out any conflict of device or driver, and you have exhausted the basic troubleshooting steps.  Visit http://forums.adobe.com/thread/900619 and follow the steps for your operating system that Charles has documented to better get a dump on incident complete for hearing and send to [email protected] with a description of the problem and the steps you have taken, and we'll take a look.

  • Change of privilege HD now Mac Mail does not open

    Couple of questions, self-inflicted:

I changed the privilege HD read-only for everyone no access and then click on "apply to the included items. I released on bail after a few minutes, change my mind with a reboot. I now get the re-boot, the pop-up "library should be rebuilt to open applications. I keep having to enter my PW for this.

In addition, Mac Mail now does not open. It is a big problem and I don't know where to start.

I repair permissions. Is there an easy way to return to the previous default permissions and privilege by default to make things work as they were before?

Can you make a different Get Info and change everyone else read-only?

First try and see if that fixes the Mail. If this is not the case, here are a few ideas more troubleshooting.

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Satellite L500-126-CD/DVD drive does not open very well unrolled

    Hello

I just got my second Satellite L500-126.
I traded my first for a new because the ESCAPE key got stuck sometimes and made a grinding sound.

Now, with my new one, I noticed that my dvd drive does not open very well unrolled and 2 bars of silver metal bit come out with the car when I open it.
    Is this normal?

Also, when I close the dvd player, I hear a little noise "ping!"
Like a spring, or something. Is that also normal?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 2 small bars of silver, but the reader of my laptop s contains two metals (runners, railway).
This is normal and these pieces are important to ensure that the drive can eject properly and could remain in a good position.
Still, you will hear a short click Open and close the drive.

    So I guess it's ok.

  • defective disc - drawer does not open

I could only download a disc because the door to the drawer does not open. When I try to open I can hear sounds as it tries to open but nothing happens.

Do you know anyway I can open it through the computer or I'll have to go back to the door fixed?

    Hello bethbradley,

This problem may occur if the CD/DVD drive is gone bad. I suggest that you try to eject the disk using by resetting the drive. You will find a small hole in the drawer of the DVD, you can insert a PIN to reset the player. This allows you to eject the disc. If it does not, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your computer to check if the disc is damaged.

  • recovery system does not open

When I click on the recovery of the system, it does not open.  I am running windows xp professional 2002.  I tried to update, but it freezes when trying to install the program active x.  I tried to run it, rundll32.exe advpack.dll, LaunchINFSection % Windir%\Inf\sr.inf too, but I don't have the disk to install xp service Pack 3.  I think it was a downloaded update so no disc.  If at this point, there is no way for me to do a restore of the system if necessary and no way to get the updates even if they are set to auto.  I also scanned for a virus that found nothing.

Hear you the system restore will not launch at all or it does not start, and you see just a blank white screen where the calendar should it be?

It is not difficult to reinstall the system restore (not reinstalled XP - only the part of SR), but to see how this other idea it works.   Reinstall SR will destroy all your old Restore Points and leave you with an another fee.

It is easy to reinstall the system restore.  Here's how:

Assuming that your XP is installed on drive C of your computer:

As you go through the reinstallation of the RS, the resettlement will be asked to locate certain files as you go along and ask your XP installation CD.

If you do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, you can change the path where Setup looks for files one at a time, because they are needed.  More on that later.

Navigate to c:\windows\inf, and right click on the following file:

    SR.inf

    Choose Install

If you can not see the sr.inf file, set up your system to show hidden files and show file extensions.

Click on tools, Options, view and turn on "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", then you should be able to see the file c:\windows\inf\sr.inf.

Installation can request files from the c:\windows\inf\386 folder.  It would be your installation CD bootable XP genuine if you have one and the Service Pack installed on your system must be the same as the CD that you will use.

You don't need absolutely a CD to do the reinstall SR because files must already be on your system somewhere if SR was working before.

If you are prompted for a file, and you can't find it where I suggest in my example below (it works on my system), you need to search your hard drive and find where the files on your system.

If the request to a file and you don't know where it is, let waiting for installation and click Start, search, then search for the requested file and find it on your system.  If SR has already worked before, the file is already on your system somewhere.

Search finds the requested file, go back to the installation and specify the path where you found the file requested and click OK.  Installation can request several files along the way, but you can find them all.

If you still can't find the files, let us know what is the file you need and someone can download on his SkyDrive and you can download it.

Here's how my system works when I reinstall SR when I pretend that I don't have a genuine XP bootable installation CD:

    When you are asked:

    SR.sys

    Point the install in c:\windows\system32\drivers

    When you are asked:

    c:\windows\system32\srclient.dll

    Point install it in c:\windows\system32

    When you are asked:

    Filelist. XML

Point of installation at c:\windows\system32\restore (or c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386)

    If asked:

    xrstrui.exe

    Point installation c:\windows\system32\restore

    When you are asked:

    srframe. MMF

    Point installation c:\windows\system32\dllcache (c:\windows\system32\restore)

Once installation is complete, you will receive a message that you must restart your computer.

Restart your computer and look at your schedule of SR.  You should have a new point system control in your calendar.

Now is the right time to test your system restore process, from one end to the other.

The day that you think you have need of system restore is not the day, namely that it does not.

Reboot your system and without anything running (no browser, Outlook, etc. - just the basics), manually create a new Restore Point, restart your system and see if you are able to restore your system to the Restore Point, you just do.

It gives an error: Final Cut close unexpectedly

It's just one that does not open it opens other libraries.

Also, I tried to open it on another computer, but here it opens either.

I tried Trashing FCP to the preferences Manager, made a first aid attendant, but it seems that the problem is in THE LIBRARY not in the program.

In addition, NONE of the backups open.

    Any ideas? ;)

    Thank you!!

By default, they are stored in Final Cut backups in the folder sequences.
