  Looks like a filter can be activated. Address book, click the menu button and go to filter. Clear all that is checked. If none of your contacts are associated with a filter, it's probably why you didn't see anything in the address book

  If you open Contacts > Menu > new Contact and scroll to the bottom, you will see, birthday, anniversary, etc., and Web Page, you will have at least according to the latest OS for the BlackBerry.

  What OS are you on?  Look at the Options > about, third line down, starting with a 'v.4.xxx '.

  There is no solution for this in Blackberry.

  But it's possible only i9f you install Zebrost directory that is. ZPB software in your Blackberry from www.zebrost.com or directly from your Blackberry.

  After installing zpb, you must follow these steps to find recently added of zpb - contacts

  1. go to the zpb of your blackberry contact list.

  2 assume that you want to search the contacts that you added in the last 10 days, and then type a #10, for added contacts in the last 15 days type a #15 and so on in your contacts list.

  I have improved my Torch (9800) a week ago and have been noticiing serious battery drain issues.  The problem is VERY persistentand happens most of the time.  I am currently on OS v6.0 bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706, Devils, 6.6.0.246).  My Wifi and Bluetooth are always TURNED off.  Only by using the Bell service provider network, for which I have all 5 bars available.

  I investigated further and found that the Blackberry system software was running with more than the processor - especially in the high 90s.  And this corresponded over the hours until the battery was dead.  I have since deleted all the apps I have suspecpected - such as the Office of Nice and LinkedIn.  But the problem persists.

  I also close all antennas - mobile network incl., and there is no change after 15-20 minutes.

  .

  Battery pull was made several times, as I checked and there are no new updates of OS.

  .

  Now, currently, only the Basic apps are loaded (Alt-Back): home, BBM, phone, Messages, Borwser.  All other applications are closed or exit.  The only antenna work is for the Bell network.

  .

  Further study in the modules of the system software of BB, I found that the net_rim_io_impl, is her consuming ALL the CPU.  I don't know where/what this module does - so I'm not clear on this service within the BB I can disable (OFF) to get rid of the issue.  Or soft. I can remove it to clear the issue.

  I reload the OS at this point and not restore data after, it comes to prove that the device is ok.

  You could make a backup and try to wipe it too if ok start selective points files until you find out what is the cause.

  To delete a contact, highlight the contact on your list, press the BlackBerry menu key and select Remove.  Alternatively, you can simply highlight the contact and press the BACKSPACE on your physical keyboard.

  Thank you.  I had been in the Office Manager several times try to configure how to synchronize my contacts.  I didn't know you could actaully highlight the address Word Book 1) checkboxes because, then 2) when you run the mouse over your cursor - it is not previously put in highlight letting you know that you can select.  So, long story short once I understood actually clicking on the word would choose what I wanted to change, which would activate the button below.

  You can use http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/6.0.0api/net/rim/blackberry/api/menuitem/ApplicationMenuIt... to add a menu item to some system applications, for example the address book. you get a context object, in a BlackberryContact, you can process or use the address book.

  Your second post seems to allude to http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/6.0.0api/net/rim/blackberry/api/messagelist/ApplicationInd... , it is used to place small flags with or without the number, such as that used for unread e-mail messages.

  I just got a request for a user to be able to select the contacts in the sim phone book.

  I currently use this code.

  That works very well for contacts stored on the blackberry. But at the time wherever you select SIM Phone Book it does not appear you can 'choose' number.

  Google search and research forum has not turned up a response so I'm hoping a clever soul can help me.

  There is no API to access the sim card phonebook.  The user is able to import the phone book sim card in BlackBerry contacts.

  I can't use ActiveSync to sync my phone with the laptop; It seems that the twinning of 2 devices fails.
  With USB connection I can ActiveSync successfully.

  My devices are:

  Nothing worked for me.

  Note: I have activesynced the same phone via bluetooth successfully with a HP laptop which has its own bluetooth software with, I think, virtual serial port driver of widdcomm.

  This Smartphone is not known to me, but I really put t know why you try to use BT between MTeor and laptop when connecting USB works. Using this connection, you can do whatever you want.

  BT on Smartphone is useful if you want to connect the small BT headset, but I don't see the reason to try this when the USB connection is working successfully.

  If there is no success I put t think it is Toshiba related question and also try to contact HTC support. They know more about the own products.
