  I am in need of help on my "old" gen mac pro 8-core xeon 5500 3rd (early 2009).

  I just upgraded it to El Captain 10.11.6 and everything is working quite well.

  I want to upgrade the RAM 16 GB and change the video card to something more recent with at least 1 GB of ram on it.

  This mac was sitting in a corner for a while due to a recent move to London and I chose to give it a try and continue to use it.
  At the moment, I have the following configuration:

  I went to the apple store in Covent Garden, here in London and they told me to check the site of Crucial that ram that I buy using their tool to find the exact model, I need.

  Well... I did... and the Web page does not suggest me any RAM, only SSDS.

  So, my fear is that they (crucial) have no RAM in stock for my specific model.

  Do you know what version should I buy and where? (amazon?)

  The same is for the video card, I want to upgrade to another card with at least 1 GB of ram on it.

  The mac will be used mainly as Adobe Creative station for Photoshop / Lightroom / InDesign.

  I think with the purchase of a 15-D045NR. The problem is that I can't find out if the RAM is expandable on this computer. It comes with 4 GB of Ram, but did not mention if it is expandable. I already bought a 15-d037dx, but I'll take it in the specs from Best Buy, it reads that the 4 GB of memory is not expandable. I called Office Depot to ask the tech to check the 15-D045NR, but he said that he cannot say even by checking the itsself to the computer if the RAM is expandable. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

  You can install up to 2 x 8 GB memory of the DDR3L-1600 (PC3L-12800).

  The L stands for low voltage (1.35v).

  Make sure you get a memory:

  Unbuffered memory

  Non - ECC

  1.35V

  At 8 small black memories on each side of the PCB, not 4.

  Refer to Chapter 4 of the the service manual to know how to remove and replace the memory modules.

  The point is to use Rams compatible and not faster. If speed of the FSB 533 MHz is there is no sense to use faster RAM.

  You are right. Your laptop model can be improved up to 16 GB and you can use the modules of memory 2 x 8 GB with PA5104U-1M8G part number. According to mobile information a slot must be empty, you can add the second 8 GB of RAM.

  Yes, you can easily upgrade to 4 GB S0 - Dimm DDR2 800 MHz / 667 MHz memory...

  But remember that only 3 GB can be addressed by an operating system to 32 bit... that comes with...

  No S0-Dimm DDR3 memory is not supported and does not fit into the memory slot...

  Question 4... I don't know at the moment... I know that SE 3607 minipci-e card 3G card offers assisted GPS...

  Upgrade itself, should be easy, open the cover of big bottom with a screwdriver and insert the Mini-PCI-e card, fix it with 2 screws, connect the antenna... close... install drivers...

  don't know actual prices think about 100-$150...

  My laptop model is Compaq Presario CQ40-401AX and it installed originally with 1 GB of RAM [1 GB 2Rx16 PC2 64005-666]. This works very well with games or work.

  But I took my previous laptop and inserted in a Compaq laptop RAM, everything seems to work a little faster, but regarding the Games frequently cause the delay of the screen and portable heat very quickly. And the RAM 1 GB 2Rx8 PC2-42005-444.

  Inconsistent not just not a good idea. We spent 800 mhz PC2-6400 memory memory PC2-4200 533 mhz which slows down the whole system and is not a good match for the processor. If you want more memory go buy some memory PC2-6400.

  The title is pretty self-explanatory. I was wondering if it will help more RAM. I have 4 GB of ram currently installed in my iMac, and I wonder if the upgrade of RAM will help products Adobe launch faster because they are so slow to start. Office 2016 is too slow to start.

  4 GB of RAM is quite minimal quantity to use OS X on. In general, more RAM will not help open ACCESS is the first, but if you close the application and then restart it, Yes, additional RAM will help, especially if you to 'virtual memory' (where the HD is used as virtual memory). However, more RAM should be more comfortable for OS X, which (in turn can perhaps) will help VAC throw faster. If you buy more RAM make sure you buy OWC or Crucial, as they are known to be compatible with Macs.

  can someone reassure me I'll buy the correct RAM and the best for my 2 Satellites. One is the P100-423.
  The other is Satellite Pro P100.

  (1) can I use modules of PC2 5300 DDR2 SO-DIMM 200 pin - 667 Mhz on both computers.
  I want to buy chips to 4 x 1 GB (all the same), so both will have 2 Gig ram PC.

  (2) I saw the bullets above with 533 Mhz, but told me I can use or 667 Mhz. Is this correct?
  667 Mhz would be faster and better is not it?

  (3) some chips are also designated PC2 - 4200 - instead of PC2-5300. Again, I can use either?

  (4) Finally, I always thought that it was better for if adapt to 2 memory chips to live the same size - that is why I want to use 2 x 1 GB chips.
  Yet, I was recommended to mount 1 x 1 and 1 x 2 GB in each pc.
  I know that IE a total of 4 GB is theoretical only 3.25 GB is possible.
  But asymmetric training will offer much greater performance on balance training 2 x 1 GB. ?

  With the help of RAM slower is possible. I have another laptop to work with the iso 4200 5300. It works ok.

  3G seems to be the max for Vista-32. The imbalance is obviously not optimal, but I expect that the performance is better with 2 GB.
