Help cold reset for M1536dnf

Hi-

First post, thanks for having me.  This is an easy one:

Co-worker set up a password for the system for the front panel on the m1536dnf and never written down.  Genius.  Anyway, no one can access all parameters of front longer.

Despite my user guide ninjitsu, I can't locate the cold reset the procedure in the manual.  If anyone knows what it is, that would be swell.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

    I see that you are trying to do a hard reset of the printer.

    The way to do is to simply unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and let it sit for about 2 min.  Reconnect the power cable and power on the unit back.

    I also suggest that you please make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.
