  I agree with falkpl that put all controls in a cluster (and then possibly saving them as typedef) are the simplest user interface solution.

  To save this data to excel, you can turn your dates/numbers to strings using the standard screws in the number and range of time. Then maybe save all in the form of a table 2D with a column of labels and a data column:

  [[Name] [Michael]]

  [Date [8-17-2010 09:47]]

  etc.

  If you do a typedef of the cluster you can then create a beautiful sub - vi to do the registration for you. I have attached a validation in LV7.1 vi

  Hi guys,.

  I have a few areas of data entry in my GUI that I control.

  The data are entered in hexadecimal format, IE. Ox is sitting next to the text entry box and the user must enter a value between 00 and FF for a single byte.

  As soon as the user tries to enter R eg I want for a warning sound to happen and him should not be accepted by the text entry area, I also want to limit the size of a byte, that is, a person may enter FFF.

  Any help much appreciated.

  It seems to me to get the data entry error on my windows kernel 8 all the days. I ran chkdsk many times before, Defrag, reinstalled a clean copy and ran virus, malware scans.

  Kernel error of data entry displays the blue screen and restarts and is very well after the restart, but a few days later, the error will appear again. Please help on how I can fix this?
  I'm not sure as to what files I need to download. Please advice.

  They are usually related to a problem with HD.  Before running CHKDSK I would remove Avast and express cache (both are know-how BSOD)

  Avast can be a cause of BSOD.

  Hello everyone.  I am building a form of contract farming for a customer.  Here is a picture of high level of form for discussion:

  Operating agreement (object label for the title of the form)

  By signing this document, you agree to all of the language indicated on the following pages. etc. etc. etc. (label object for the static text)

  Name of the customer (text object for data entry)

  Address (text object for data entry)

  City (text object for data entry)

  State (text object for data entry)

  Article 1 - this agreement is between the customer, as indicated above and the company providing, etc. etc. etc. (object label of static text)

  Question 1

  By the request of the customer, I removed the label from the name text box of the Client (as well as all the other text boxes).  Want me to set the default value of this to say 'Customer name' indicating that the customer name text box must be typed here.  I've added the phrase name of the customer to bristle reversal as well help.  So we do not weigh those filling out the form, I added a line of JavaScript on the Enter event , so the default text in this text box is removed when the user clicks the text box to enter data.  The code I used is: this.rawvalue = "";  

  This solution works very well because we do not want those filling in the form of having to select and delete the default of 'Customer name' when they want to enter data.  Thus, with the JavaScript in place by default is removed after clicking in the textbox control.  The only problem I have with this solution is that if a person would click in this text box after entering the data or tabs in the text box after you enter the data, the data that has been entered is deleted (for the code).  Does anyone know how to set a default value that clears when the user enters in the text box for entering data, but does not erase what the user types in if they want to add to the data they entered or accidentally click in the text box.

  I thought to make the textbox to read after a user of other data and leaves the text box BUT if they want to change what they got they can't because it is read-only.

  Any thoughts on a solution that would meet my needs?  I prefer not to have a button on the form that a user clicks to erase the contect of a specific text box, but it's the only other thing I can think of that would work.

  Question 2

  For label objects as Article 1, I need to add a large amount of data (more than 1 page of text in the paragraph format) in a label/text box.  I suppose that the best object to copy and paste this data into is a label and not a text box (which I could remove the formatting and reading only).  My one major requirement for this is that I develop text fields before this Article 1, which should push (wrap) Article 1 contained on a second or third page.  I can set the property object to break up, but I don't know if that will lead the content of Article 1 partly wrap to a second page.  It will be (is that the right solution)?  I prefer not to enter this long content of many objects of label for each paragraph, but I did it in the past and it works.

  If it's important, my design of the shape has a subform (with the property set to cast) and each object embedded in this subform in the hierarchy list (additional subforms, text boxes, labels).  I implement it effectively and function I wanted me?  I know it's hard to image.

  Here is an example, where the textfield object has a null type. This allows to have the legend inside the textfield object. As soon as the user clicks inside the textfield object, the 'legend' disappears and the textfield object is available for the user to type in.

  The form has two options. The second replicates the 'legend' at the end in parentheses if the field is NOT null.

• Move the cursor to data entry in the first element of array

  It seems that it should be simple, and that I still can't find a way to do this.

  I want to have a dialogue VI with a single Berry. When loading of the dialog, I want the data entry cursor to appear in the first element of the array, so the user can begin to enter data with the keyboard and I can't click on it with the mouse and then tab on the rest of the table. The property node 'Key Focus' just seems to give me a box around the entire table without any cursor active data entry.

  A table control has a property called array element. Get a reference to it and its main objective set to true. I just spent a few minutes test this and it didn't work for me if I first got the reference, then turn the key a second property node, rather than doing everything in one implicit property node. In addition, it still affects the update to the second element of the array, which is certainly not too useful. I have not found a way around that in my brief tests, unfortunately.

  HP Pavilion DV 6108 NR, RG365UA, purchased late 2006 at best buy, with Windows XP, upgrade to Service Pack 3. It has a Fujitsu 60 GB HDD partitioned into C: and a D: Recovery.

  Windows tries to start, but goes to a blue screen with the message: "Unmountable Boot Volume" for a second, then just guard recycling until I force a shutdown.

  Phoenix BIOS, hard drive test result: "Fail #1-08".

  I ran a program to drive on the Cdrive analysis/recovery and it seems to show the directory structure intact, and he was able to recover some files. I used the free Seagate (which only retrieves the small files). The second pass only works so well and in the third set as the program says that I should not go further, and I need to contact a professional drive recovery company.

  However, drive D seems to be intact, so I wonder if the disc is damaged or just one aspect of the logical drive C is bad.

  How can I get the D: to run recovery on it software? The recovery discs, made by Best Buy, just proceed to the R / F / Q option screen, and when I press R, I get a blue screen every time.
  Pressing the F10 key at startup bothers me nowhere. Ditto the key F11.

  I don't like hard disk; This is the data (files, documents, images, etc.) that I want to.
  I contacted HP to order recovery disks, but they are no longer available for my computer.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  APEX 4.2 has support for read-only point, area conditions and level of the page. Put yourself in the form a screen to read-only by using a condition appropriate for the page or region level attribute.

  Not with ordinary Muse. These things requires a dynamic backend with a connection database and in your case quite likely some substantial customization and programming.

  After you apply the patching EMP 11.1.2.1, we apply after Electrodes for IE 9 compactibility i.e EMP 11.1.2.1.600 patches

• GUI data entry screen

  Is there any GUI screen to create data entry forms? Something similar to CF Report Builder would be great. Where you can add fields from the tables directly to the screen in Design view, and then save the screen as a CF file for use on a web site.

  Yes, certainly familiar with the BFC, but it is not a tool of 'design': it is a coding tool. therefore does not have the Visual side of things.  That is why I recommended DW for what your needs are.

  According to works your shop, there is (at least) two different niches to fill: people like me who come to write the code, and while I do a mark-up, it is not my work in the style, if I don't need a Visual display, I just need to type the code in.  So I use CFB (or CFE if you want to save you a few £££).  We have other guys that make CSS and the rest of the square increase dollying, and they use DreamWeaver because it handles both the Visual side of things, but also understand the code CF who is there also.

  We also have generators that make the real... uh... Well well... the design and they use Adobe Illustrator or something like that.  I do not know... I never work with them. UI developers are taking what they produce and which cut.  I think it's .ai files our UI guy receive by talented designers well.

  In any way, if you make time code and mark up/CSS with Visual effects, you want DW rather than CFB I think.  There are also a few Eclipse plug-in called "Aptana" I've heard people banging on everything... I think it's something to do with the side of the mark-up of things (well, OK, I know it's something to do with that side of things, but I've never used, so don't know much except that it exists).  Don't know if it is "Visual" or not... I never got to know.  Maybe look into it well.

  Sorry if I seem dismissive of the touchy-feely side of things: I am one of these dinosaurs of the web--if it was up to me - everything would be in 11pt verdana and we would use tables for layout.  With border = 1 for "make believe a little smart".  One of my colleagues as saying something about the so-called "client-side scripting" that people do these days: "Java Script" or something like that.  I don't see what was taking off: who uses Java anyway?  ;-)

  Acquisition_ID references Acquisition (foreign key).
  
  I modified a form master / detail to meet my needs by removing all extraneous processes and the buttons/elements used to "modify existing data", since this form will be for the data entry. The part I'm stuck with that becomes the shape of master PXX_ACQUISITION_ID in the column #ACQUISITION_ID # form of detail. I see how to set the default value of the column to an article, but of course, the element is null until the page is sent. I want to the next sequence of the process crafts page:
  
  1 processing line of the Acquisition and return to PXX_ACQUISITION_ID PK
  2 change the column values in the form detailed by defining them at PXX_ACQUISITION_ID
  3 apply a Multi-rang-updated the form detailed
  
  I don't know how to do the step #2.

  Hi Kris,

  There are at least two ways that come to mind (and there are probably others too):

  1 hide the part of details of the page while the primary key of the master record is null. When the master record is created and sent, it should then get the value of PK and the detail must appear and use the default value for the foreign key field. This would require using a process of "search for the line...". "to retrieve the data for the master record, however.

  2. you can add a calculation or process, in the point of the process "Before Header" condition on the master element of PK of registration being null, which gets the next sequence number for the PK. As long as there is no "row Fetch..." page, then you should not get any errors on the "data not found". The detail records can then use the same value in their foreign keys.
