  • Help, audio stop working in XW6600 with nVidia NVS 315 graphics card

    Greetings:

I just buy a renovated, XW6600 Xeon dual processor, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit system.  The PC comes with a nVidia NVS 290 graphics card.  Everything works fine and the speaker in the motherboard Jack produces sounds.  However, when I change the NVS 290 with a NVS 315 (it is a HP spare part), the sound stops working.  The speaker in the systray icon has a red circle with an "x" in it.  If I right click on the speaker, the playback device, it shows two TV as icon one above the other with a red arrow pointing down and a description on the righ side saying "Digital Audio (HDMI) high definition Audio Device not connected.   I have the same result in 64-bit Windows 8.1.  The problem is solved if I reinstall the NVS 290.  For both cards, I use the latest driver from nVidia.  Am I missing something?

Any help to solve this problem is greatly appreciated.

    Hello:

When you install new video card, it must have a HDMI on it audio chip and what happens, is that the BIOS has disabled the integrated audio system thinking not only have you installed a video card, but you have installed a map audio too.

Then, go into the BIOS, probably in the Advanced menu, the options menu, you will find onboard audio setting.

It will be set to Disabled. Set to active, save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out (save the settings and exit).

When you restart, the integrated audio system should be back.

Question 1: GRAPHICS CARD MINIMUM 3 MONITORS (I HAVE 4 HP W2207h MONITOR)

I just love this box, but... I have 4 monitors, what graphics card should I expect (there is that one slot pcie x 16... budget for the new card is in the card current from 150 to 300 dollars is a gt 530, no second slot for another, can I get with a card with 3 port all of my monitors have dvi and hdmi ports) I'm not too interested in so super high-end cards aren't a real problem for me, it's just something that I can get all monitors talking to this game box, intensive stuff more graphic than I do are photoshop cs5, development web and watching movies.

Question 2: UPGRADE EXISTING PSU 300 to 600 OR MORE.

  • Low profile & power graphics card for s3321p Slimline

Hi I currently own a HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p. It's a good system, except the graphics card.

    OS: Vista 32-bit

RAM: 2 GB (will likely move to 4 GB)

    Hard drive: 500 GB

    PSU: 160W

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + (2.6 GHz)

Course graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

You can find more details here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01297158

I know it's really hard to find a graphics card for 160W, but I really don't want to upgrade my power supply.

I would like to play the new Sim City 5, and specifications of my computer are satisfying the requirements (surpassing a number), except for the graphics. I need to at least 256 MB and the 6150 has only 128 MB. Could you give me any suggestions on a graphics card that will fill my computer and the power supply? Thank you.

    Thanks, help is really appreciated.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the difference between a chipset and a card, could you explain that? It is said that there is 1 PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card.

If you think that I really need a new power supply, could you give some recommendations? But I really try to avoid it, then, Yes. Thanks again and sorry for this post so long.

You have already linked to the card to your computer, but for good measure... Here are the specifications of original factory for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p desktop again. As you already know, there's only a non - ATX 160 watts of power. The only way you'll be able to install a graphics card in retail is to upgrade your diet. www.athenapower.com should have a diet that will power a graphics card with a system recommended nominal power of 300-400 watts power. Alternatively, you can contact HP, see if they have a low graphics power of cutom made card that will work with the provision of 160 watts of power. This option will probably be more expensive.

According to specifications, your computer has integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated chipset with up to 256 MB (512 MB or more of memory system). Basically, a motherboard with integrated graphics card has the graphics capability built into the motherboard. A graphics card, on the other hand, is a map designed to plug into a slot on the motherboard. As a general rule, a graphics card will be more powerful than integrated graphics card of a chipset.

Please let us know how you want to proceed and we should be able to help you any further.

I know there's an MXM slot and I opened to check for this.

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on what we should I put in?

IV looked and found some AMD and Nvidia MXM cards but do not know if they are compatible.

Any help or advice on what is the best and compatible would be appreciated

  • NVIDIA 8800 GT graphics card failure

I running Windows Vista 32 bit.  I got a quad core 2 processor and 3 GB of ram. The problem that I am facing is with my graphics card, an Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT.

Windows Vista has been updated the software on my computer recently, and during this update, my computer froze. When I restarted the computer, the screen resolution is much smaller, and I noticed that my graphics card had a Code 43 error. I first uninstalled the device and rebooted, and vista reinstalled the device itself. I always had the same problem after reboot.

I don't know where to go from here... any help would be amazing.

    Hello

It could be the video device that goes wrong. If the car video, you should be able to disable it and add
in a video card. And of course, if you have a video card that is a question to replace.

  • Tecra S2 - another Nvidia Go 6600 graphics card?

    Hey Ben,

I think the graphics card is attached to the motherboard and t can be exchanged or upgraded. If the entire motherboard must be replaced as you can read here:

And as Akuma written that you can search in the Toshiba page for an ASP.

EVGA GTX 980, 4K monitor and CPU water cooling is really good things. Now, on your hard drive.

  • Help with the new graphics card on old pc

I have a dell dimension 3000 'ya I know sad' I would like to add a graphics card and a new soft power since the wife won't let me buy a new PC GRRRR

I have a GeForce 6200 PCI 256 MB dcr2 it will work in this pc

I also bought a power electric double w 480 SATAs is large enough to run the new card and the pc?

    Thank you

You can add the 6200 PCI if you wish.  It does not require an upgrade of the power supply however.  It will work fine on your PSU 250 watts.  I have the 6200 circulating in a Dell with a 250W unit just to get the higher resolutions than the integrated graphic card has been able to provide in support of a monitor.

  • Help shop for a graphics card for me!

    Hello

I just got a good deal on a new HM 2713 Ultrasharp while also recently getting a Ultrasharp 2412. 2 soft monitors, but my XPS 7100 (1055 t, 460 Watt power) has to a Radeon 5450 graphics card. Dell just sent me another DVI - D cable, because one wouldn't connect to DVI-connector (is it broken? I don't know-single link DVI fits, Dual Link DVI is loose and does not connect.) Nevertheless, the 5450 isn't compatible Eyefinity, a real disappointment when I bought 3 years ago. I think I need a new GPU to have all 3 monitors (my 3rd monitor a Viewsonic old, pre - HD LCD). About me:

-Not a gamer. Just need each monitor to run at native resolution (2560 x 1440 at the HM 2713) and play HD movies decently, or just for "hundreds" of websites, I have open at any given time.

-J' love peace, that's why I love passively cooled cards. I'm limited by power 460w anyway, so why not have a low-power consumer card that will support Eyefinity? (What I was hoping with the 5450).

The only one I see that seems to meet these requirements is the Sapphire Radeon HD 6450 Flex 1 GB. Seems to be a map similar to the 5450, although many more power draw max 212w (5450's energy consumption is 17w Max is that correct?), but still within its requirements for a 400w power threshold.

Is this who is right for me? Is there a better option?

    Thank you.

The 2 GB model is the model 1 GB DDR5, DDR3 and so faster.

Congratulations on the new video card - let us know how it works.

  • Need help with the new graphics card

So my trusty GTX 555 is finally dying after 4 years and 10 000 + hours so I looked in an upgrade and heard the GTX 960 would be a good upgrade for an Alienware x 51 R1. So I got a PNY GeForce GTX 960 Amazon and installed but when I turn on my system it passes to the BIOS screen and is there for about a minute and a half and it beeps every 30 seconds after the screen came. After the minute and a half or two then goes to a black screen and says the brand and model of graphics card in the upper left corner for about 5 seconds, then he sits on a black screen. I did something wrong?

    If necessary system specs:
    330W POWER SUPPLY
    Intel Core i7 2600
    8 GB RAM
    Windows 7

    Have you updated the BIOS?

  • Help choose a new graphics card

I have a HP Pavilion Elite d5100t, which came with a Geforce 9800 GT 1 GB graphic card and 450 W Power Supply, purchased 2 years ago. It has come to my attention lately that my video card for some reason any is dying slowly, causing my computer to freeze every day.

I looked on new egg and see that an another Geforce 9800 same caliber is very reasonably priced, around $100, but I was wondering if my system has room for improvement.

Y at - it all the other cards that are an improvement on the 9800 GT, that would be a simple Exchange, without needing a different PSU? I'm not sure how to determine needs in power, but from what I hear that HP puts power supplies in computers that just barely meet the power requirements of this particular system configuration.

    Any Suggestions?

Very well. Delta is a reliable manufacturer, this power supply can certainly provide its rated power output. With 385W, you could go up to a Radeon 5850 and anything less powerful than (5750 and 5770). You can also get one of the new GeForce GTS 450. Just to be safe, I would avoid the GTX 460. Even if your power supply must be able to handle it, he can put in as a constraint of high load, and so it is not dangerous for the components, it's run more hot and more noisy.
