Hello there I just got my phone today and the adpotor of the antenna that is supposed to go in the back of my lapto does not fit in there but the other end fits into the antenna cable and the other does not fit into my laptop because it's too big and I don't know why I am provided with this cable? Hello

In my opinion you shouldn't buy anything. Contact your local dealer. It should help you get an original cable designed for your laptop.

  • Qosmio F10: How to get help "wake up on Lan.

Anyone who manages to get working on a Qosmio F10 WOL?
I found that the power management tab is missing from the properties of Intel (r) PRO/100 VE. Therefore cannot check the "allow this device to wake the computer from sleep mode.
Read the Intel site that is said to try to uninstall & reinstall the drivers if the power management tab is missing, that I did with a new & the OEM driver, I downloaded from intel, but it did not work.
The other parameters of WOL under the advanced settings TAB, all seem to be there.

Before going any further I was wondering if anyone has had this works?
If not someone from Toshiba can confirm the Bios & motherboard WOL support with built in the Lan card F10?

Both the program HWSetup & incoming in the installation program, it seems, there is no ACPI definition of boot options.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

On my laptop Toshiba the option allow this device to wake this computer is not accessible.
So I think that the map network-> properties-> Advanced tab options are responsible for this action.
On my camera, I can see awakening on the evolution of the link, ARP/Ping alarm and wake up using APM mode.
There you can activate all options.

In addition, you can check in the settings of ToshibaHW if the built-in LAN boot and network protocol is enabled.

  • Qosmio F10: Cannot set up the TV Tuner!

I can't be able to receive any form of TV on my Qosmio F10 signal.

I tried a manual and automatic TV signal setup in Windows Media Center, while only connected to various points of antenna and my satellite receiver, but the software manages never actually receive any form of signal.

I checked each of the cables works properly by connecting it to a TV, and there is certainly a good signal.

All I can think is there is a problem with my Toshiba TV Tuner hardware (I uninstalled and rebooted to reinstall drivers TV Tuner), or possibly the adapter cable little.

    Someone else had this problem?

    Any ideas?

Ok... No one has any ideas, then!

Here's an update... I took my Qosmio F10 at the shop where I bought and showed them the problem.

They were very helpful and offered to test their display machine. He struggled, but finally picked up a garbled from an antenna signal.

They agreed that my Qosmio was wrong and pulled another out of stock. We decided to check quickly to see that another did not pick up a signal either!

As they had no more stock, I agreed to take the display model at home, because we knew that it worked.

Since then, I only managed to get for my Sky Digital receiver by manually telling it what channel it is on (68) and have not been able to set up anything via a terrestrial antenna!

I have connected the original problem with the technical support of Toshiba, who said that it should be referred to their team of level three, who work office hours only. I have been waiting for four days for a response and am not a happy chappy!

  • Qosmio F10: new battery needed

My name is Batool Mohdhir, I was wondering if you could help me with something, please. I have a toshiba Qosmio F10 and I need new batteries that my batteries are ruined for some reason any! the model # I found written on my battery Li-ion battery model is PA3285-2BRS. I found on several sites in the same farm, except that its 1BRS. I don't know what that means! It is suitable for my laptop or is it not? If not, where can I buy the model I need online? What websites is the best to buy online laptop parts? and also I need an adapter model PA-2521U-1ACA, but I could not find. What other adapters are suitable for the Qosmio F10? I'm looking forward to your hearing you soon.

    Hello

At a first of all welcome to the Toshiba Support forum. I hope that you will find here information quite useful.

Back to your question: I checked the Qosmio specification and there is that your device needs to follow the described parts:
    Power adapter - PA2521E-2ACA or PA2521U-2ACA (90W)
    Battery - PA3285U

I put t know in which country you live but if there is no Toshiba service partner you can order directly by them. Another way to check if you can find some offereor online in your country where you can order the parts you need. I'm sure you can find some not Toshiba universal AC adapt, but I prefer the use of original parts.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Repair Qosmio F10

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10 which was purchased in me for repair.
He underwent the faliure GPU from nVidia to the common address but meets in perfect condition and certainatly too good to discard.
I managed to get your hands on a part of the Service of OEM new motherboard to fit, but I don't want to just put in there and then the case of fault on the road.

What I'd like to know if there is anything I can do or even to change the laptop to help avoid this problem.

This is not my laptop and I don't really want to start cut about to help with cooling unless it will really make a difference if someone actually found a way to stop it or at least make him last a good few years?

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I know the owner is very fond of his laptop and wants to keep.

    Thank you very much
    Ben

Maybe it sounds silly now, but I put t know what kind of trick you want to get here. If you have good working mainboard, compiled the Qosmio and test how it works.

  • Qosmio F10 - the Qosmio player Partition Recovery

I have a Qosmio F10. He had the motherboard factory upgrade, RAM max, and a new 160 GB Samsung HARD drive mounted. So far so good. I've recently updated to Win7 and it was OK, once the drivers have been found, but I couldn't reinstall the Qosmio Player because apparently he found too little space.

Hotline do not have much help, but I now realize that the QP is a Linux package in its own hidden partition. I've cleaned the disc, which makes an image of the system W7 on a USB HDD. Then I managed on the basis of reinstall the QP and update her, but the image will not recover in the form of images of Windows, I find now, will only recover a disk the same as the original or more.

It is not of course because of the score of the PS. So how is it removed please? I tried everything so far.
Just to make things to complete the product Toshiba Recovery DVD sent with the repaired machine is 70% complete and abandoned.

    Stephen

Qosmioplayer is small application based on Linux, and according to the instructions of Toshiba s, must be installed as a first step, before you install the operating system. I m not 100% sure, but about 200 MB of free space on the HARD drive is required for installation of Qosmioplayer.
It works perfectly when you use original Qosmioplayer and recovery disks but I put t know how it will work when you try to use your own image.

I hope that someone else has the same model of laptop and solution for this.
If you will be able to manage this please send a feedback.

  • Qosmio F10: battery life

I have a Qosmio F10 (2 months) and am pretty disappointed with the battery life.
20 minutes running on battery at full power yesterday and the computer was turned off (3%)...
Forget watching a DVD on the plane!
I wonder if it is a BIOS issue or if there is no possibility to buy a more powerful battery.
It seems to me that this computer was designed to run on a/c with the battery pack in as a secondary power (short!) option.
    Any comments?
Also, did anyone tried these plane Chargers sold in airports?

    Hello

In my opinion, you should try to set up your Qosmio for optimal battery usage. To optimize the battery DURATION use the Toshiba Power Saver utility. "TOSHIBA Power Saver" allows according to the specific use power management allows the reduction of the power consumption of your device and allows you to use your PC for a longer period when running on battery.

You can reduce your energy consumption PC mainly for its use by reducing the brightness of the screen LCD or CPU processing speed. There are also various games of management settings power or 'profiles', prepared in advance. These profiles are designed to be used in some of the most common environments of the user. You can use these standard profiles or create your own profiles based on your own custom power management settings.

I'm sure that all the settings of this can help you to use the device for a longer time. To watch DVDs using DVD player profile. You can change the profiles using the FN + F2 key combination.

  • Qosmio F10: TV tuner pal/Secam

    Nice day

One of my friends has a Toshiba Qosmio F10 of France in Ireland. Everything works fine except for the (tuner) tv.

I read in a previous thread on how to get a tv signal in the Qosmio player which worked for me as well.

Problem is that this signal is "encoded" and now that I know a bit more about the standards of television used in Europe, I'm pretty sure that the tuner is set to Secam (laptop was purchased in France, after all).

Anyone who knows how I can configure the PAL standard.
The fact that this machine is the french version of XP MCE is not help either that my french is rusty to say the least.

I know that Gettysburg mentioned in a previous thread that manually operated standard tv, too bad he doesn't explain how :-)
Only that I can find is I NTHE bios but it is only for the tv (pal or ntsc), then that does not work either.

Please help me, frustrated here, not a good thing...

    Hello

as far as I know the series Qosmio with MCE and TV tuner is specific countries because in Europe there are different standards of television for each country!

    Sorry!

  • Qosmio F10 reviews

I am currently deciding whether to buy a Qosmio F10. There seems to be 3 versions available for me the 100 F10, F10 - 124 and the F10-125. The F10-125 seems to be the best?

I am concerned about the TV reception - if I simply plug an antenna on the standard roof at the rear of the Qosmio will I get a pretty decent reception (as I do when I look at the TV)? Also I've obviously not will keep the tv aerial permanently connected, so whenever I want to watch tv, I'm going to have to retune the Qosmio?

What should I do to watch freeview digital tv, that is if I buy a box of TNT can I just plug in the back of the Qosmio that appear all channels?

There seems to be 2 ways to watch TV 1) the MCE Qosmio Player 2). From a previous post, it seems that the remote control only works with the Qosmio player?

In general any opinion with the ease and convenience of watching TV on the Qosmio would be appreciated so I can judge whether it is worth spending me the money to get this facility.

Anyone know where I can buy one on good terms?

    Hello

Sorry, but in my opinion you should take some of the information detailed by local vendor because here you can ask a lot of questions and at the same time check all components and the ports you need to watch TV.

In any case, I'll try to give you my opinion in a few words.

I agree with you that F10 - 125 is the best. This device has everything that the laptop need including Bluetooth. There is no reason to worry about the TV reception because Qosmio has enough video - in ports that you can use every possibility to watch TV.

If you want to use cable TV its antenna in the port and you can watch TV on two tracks. First used Qosmio player without OS boot or using MCE that is built into the OS. MCE using it also records option available.

While watching TV with the help of an external receiver, you can use composite port. To watch TV you can use Qosmio player, but in this case Qosmio player will find a single usable channel and you can choose the programs using the remote control receiver.

My opinion is generally that the F10 is a great machine. Check also the series G and compare it with the F-series.

Before buy you Google around and check prices.

It really a serouis problem, because that's a lot of noise. Who can tell me that is why?

  • Qosmio F10 - HDD speed

I plan to buy the Qosmio F10 with 100 GB hd... does anyone have experience with the speed of the hard drive, it's a 100 GB HD or a 60 and a 40. ??

    HI Rood,

I have no experience with the new HDD 100 GB but foud, I had some practical information.

The Qosmio f10-122 (sold in Italy) built in a 100 GB HARD drive at 5400 RPM.

Theoretical, a 100 GB HARD drive is a little slower than a 60 or 80 GB HDD at 5400 RPM.

    Hop this helps you.

    Goodbye Tom

  • Qosmio F10 and TV connection via SCART?

I try to display on television. using the output S-video of my Qosmio F10 I have no problem. However my TV S-video entry is at the front behind the door of some panels, so it is much more convenient to use one of the inputs SCART on the back of my TV.

I've never had problems with one of these entries SCART (it worked perfectly with VCRs, DVDplayers), but now everything I try I can't get it to work with the cable SCART provided with the Qosmio.

How is it? is there a way I can test it there is a signal on the output in the cable SCART on my Qosmio?

    Hello

If you want to send the signal to the TV using the SCART, you can use adapter SCART (In/Out). Google a bit and I'm sure you can find the best solution.

You can also get the best information in some electronics stores. There you can get appropriate technical advice.
