Qosmio F10 and TV connection via SCART?

I try to display on television. using the output S-video of my Qosmio F10 I have no problem. However my TV S-video entry is at the front behind the door of some panels, so it is much more convenient to use one of the inputs SCART on the back of my TV.

I've never had problems with one of these entries SCART (it worked perfectly with VCRs, DVDplayers), but now everything I try I can't get it to work with the cable SCART provided with the Qosmio.

How is it? is there a way I can test it there is a signal on the output in the cable SCART on my Qosmio?

Hello

If you want to send the signal to the TV using the SCART, you can use adapter SCART (In/Out). Google a bit and I'm sure you can find the best solution.

You can also get the best information in some electronics stores. There you can get appropriate technical advice.

    Hey Amir,

As you know, more recent games manufacturers use very sophisticated on their CD/DVD copy protection techniques and it is not always possible to circumvent these routines successfully.

The effect of this is that the CD will not always load or run correctly. Some will complete the loading process, but will not then allow the game to run. Sometimes, the game will work but in reduced mode with no options available active game.

Unfortunately I don't know any way to avoid this happening other than to try to get the real game CD if possible.

Good luck with your game of :>)

    Hello

Qosmio F10 uses DDR RAM modules. This modules support dual channel.
As far as I know that you can upgrade the memory of max 2048MB and these modules are supported:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

I suspect that the router can be not broadcast the Hello Protocol as it did in the past. To resolve this problem, please follow the instructions below.

    1. Out of the router, unplug the power cable
    2. Out of the printer, unplug the power cable

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Homegroup = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Network of home or work = fundamentally similar (and better) to the previous Working Group sharing methods which allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

To get best results connect to each computer system screen and set all the computers to be on a bearing the same name of Working Group , while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

Make sure that the software firewall, AV, or other security components allow free local traffic on all network computers. If you use the 3rd group of security, firewall native Vista/XP must be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please Note that some 3rd party software firewall/AV/security costumes continue to block aspects of the Local traffic even it they are off (off).
If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

    -----------------

Network Win 7 with another version of Windows as a work network (works very well if all computers are Win 7 also).

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If you have permission and security issues with Vista/Win7, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account onall computers that they are allowed to connect to.

Everyone is an account, that means a group of all users who already have an account now as users. It is available to avoid the need to configure permission for each on its own, it does not mean all those who feel that they would like to connect.

  • Qosmio E10 and TV-out via D-video COMPONENT

    Hey all,.
I would like to have some explanations about the D-video on the port of the Qosmio (especially for the E10 but I guess it applies on other Qosmio models as well)
From what I have gathered, this port (D-video) is similar to the output of the GameCube component. It is commonly used in the Japan to connect video equipment upscale to HD TV.

So here's my question: how is the European model of the Qosmios are budled with a "D-video cable SCART?
Since Scart induces only RGB and port D-video outputs (not composite) COMPONENT, I don't understand how that would work AT ALL.

In addition, in the USA, Canada and Japan, Qosmio models are provided with this D-video to RCA component cable
(http://209.167.114.38/support//TECHSUPPORT/Tsbs/all/-TSB001078-79/Qosmio%20Accessory/Qosmio%20Component%20Video%20Adaptor%20Cable.gif). This isn't your standard RCA output (3 caps NOT give ' composite + sound "but only video signals"Y, Cr & Cb")

(so basically the answer by Feliks on this thread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2064&tstart=90 does not apply to all)

Please help me understand because it's a big mystery to me ;)
Thanks for any input on this.

    Hello

Unfortunately, Europe is still a step behind the United States and the Japan. As far as I know at the moment there is no possibility to connect the portable computers directly to the HDTV. I didn't tried yet (must buy HD TV ;)) but on the net I found some interesting pages that recommend to use the PC to video converters HDTV.)

This theme is very interesting and I will be very grateful if you write again and share with us some useful information.

  • Qosmio F10 - how to connect VCR to the Qosmio

I'm trying to connect my analog VCR / my laptop to save some old tapes.

Follow the instructions exactly as detailed in the user guide, but I can't get a picture. Used both Svideo composite without joy!

Someone had the same problem and anyone know a fix?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Anthony,.

I spent a futile a few hours by train to do it with my Satellite A30 until I have realized that the adapter SCART I was using was a single input device, so I wasn't getting any signal from the VCR to my laptop. I changed the adapter SCART to a version switchable and made sure that it passed to the "output" mode and it worked very well.

I never managed to get a picture of S-video in color, black and white only. I gave up in the end and returned to composite connections that worked perfectly.

  • Qosmio F10 and receiver TV - or not in my case

I have set up my Qosmio to receive the satellite through the cable SCART (and Yes, I changed the BIOS as described). It changes beautifully satellite channels on the TV, but does not display the image on the laptop. Have tried every combination I can think overall upward but he always said not to find a signal. All I get is a black screen, both in the editing of the scene and 'live TV '. I checked my satellite and quality signal strength and they are both good.
    Any ideas gratefully received.

    Hello tracie

As far as I know your unit a video port and video output. Have you already checked in s operating manuals which ports are video - in ports? I'm not sure but cable SCART is no plug-in software component video port. If you want to use the TV tuner, you can use S-Video port, Composite or coaxial in antenna.

I had a problem with my qosmio F10 and after service, changed the graphics card from Nvidia Geforce 5700 6600. But when I tried to switch the LCD for the TV screen, I could not use my d-video out (SCART nb exit). I could not change display properties TV format because these settings the value NTSC and shadow. You have an idea? How can I solve this problem before the service...

    Hello

The G10 has installed the utility of development of Toshiba and this tool has controlled the TV out put and the PAL, NTSC settings.
Check if it is available on your Qosmio F10 and change the settings if necessary.

Furthermore, it would not be a bad idea to access the BIOS and check if there are any options that can move from a PAL, NTSC

How to connect to the service provider in Ukrain

    Hello

It is always possible that some parts are not available at this time. It s nothing unusual.
In my opinion, if the service provider has no parts in stock in Ukraine parts must be ordered form the Toshiba district or elsewhere.

I remember that someone in this forum suggested that a graphics card was unserviceable and the laptop has been upgraded with a different graphic card better.
You can contact the ASP in your country. The contact information you will find on the page of Toshiba:
