Help Pages for a great thesis - it can he manage?

I just bought a mac in February this year and downloaded MS office.  I had to continual problems with Word - error messages when I go to save as there is an error on startup disk can not save or there is a serious disk on the job file error and I have to save a new copy.  Temporary files remain in the Finder all my Docs.

MS Office looks at the console logs and says Word uses a huge amount of CPU (I have loads of disk space left btw) and thought it was an error in the coding of the finder of sense of startup disk did not know where to put temporary files and was not to delete when the doc is closed - so to publish a mac.

Apple when they finally decided to support said to do a reinstall of the iOS.  I did and the problem seemed to settle.

However, I am coming for the final stretch of a major wholesale and I don't know if I can trust MS office on Mac - even if I think it's basically my mac is the question. Of course Apple worry at all because it is MS Office and does not give me a replacement even if they said there must be problems with the disk or the iOS, I had was corrupted - so it is the Mac.  Stock of health equipment but frankly, someone needs to make a correct diagnosis. Apple do not seem to do this more so less impressed in the care of apple product.  At least with windows machines they take repair and return!

If someone has already tried to use Pages to write a lengthy document which will contain a lot of setting in shape?  Risk of you using MS Word to this moving forward?

I think of buying a laptop not expensive windows as backup - which seems a ridiculous gesture after spending all that money on the mac. But don't take risks and cannot count on apple being a support.

What will be the reviewers will use, MS Office or Pages? I would write my paper using the same tools that the examiners/graders will use. You said there will be a lot of formatting, this is a signal of the course there are incompatibilities between products and even products versions when viewing your work.

And, given that there may be other problems with your computer that I save at least often on an external drive. Make sure that you manage frequent backups of your work. If it were me, I would have my computer professionally checked before relying on it for such an important project.

    Try the method below and see if it helps.

    (a) open the control panel.

    (b) double-click on sounds and Audio devices.

    (c) on sounds and audio devices Properties, click volume tab and under "volume of the device" , click on the button "Advanced".

    (d) on the main volume, click options, and then click Properties.

    (e) under "playback" option, where it says "show following volume controls", make sure that the box is checked which corresponds to the place you plug your phone microphone.

    I'm about to create a newsletter for a client (print version), and they want an online version. The feature to publish online looks great and works great, but my client wants to host the files on their server and not only on the Adobe server. Y at - it an option to publish the files to another server? The only alternative I could think was "Save as web page complete" on the web page so that all the files/folders should be saved in a folder, but that did not work.

    I'm building a site as well as other people and I'm the designer of the main site. I need to know how to make my site automatically creates a user profile page when said user registers on the site. Something very similar to YouTube or MySpace. Example: If a user to create an account with the username bob678 site code / would be a page called examplesite.com/userid/bob678 (like I said before very similar to YouTube).     You can easily create a user profile page by creating a filtered recordset that filter user_id parameter to URL example.com/page.php?id=bob will display the profile of bob and example.com/page.php?id=sue'll see Sue profile.     You never mentioned this scripting language you use and helps with questions of app development. I assume that you are using php but the next time you post please mention this script, you use to avoid speculation.

  • I don't seem to have you show them on your drop-down menus help page. For example, I have no option to import under 'file '.

    your help page refers to the menu option that I don't seem to have. There's no option 'Firefox' on the top menu line or on any menu line. I checked all the option toolbar for the menu drop down. Also, I try to import bookmarks from Safari, but there is no option to 'import' in the menu drop down "file".
