HELP - PIX525 get really slow

Hello

PIX of my client was sometimes really slow and I always do a reload after 2 or 3 days. When I checked 'treats hs', there is a process that took a lot of runtime. Can someone explain to me what this process and to limit its duration or how to kill?

Here is the log that I captured. Pls look at the process "557poll".

Thank you

557poll will always appear as one of the most frequently used processes, but there is nothing to worry about this. It's to do with the PIX interfaces to query to see if there is traffic.

The best indication of how works the PIX is "sho CPU usage", "sho block", "sho perfmon" and 'traffic sho' orders. Have a read of the document that should help you and determine the cause of the slow down:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 gets really slow, loses the connection, network printers.

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2, Dell PowerEdge T610 which very often at a time, it is really slow, loses the connection to all network printers and network resources are limited. We check scheduled task, updates of Windows and go on throughout this period. We check the event viewer, and there is nothing extraordinary. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

  • Dreamweaver is REALLY slow...

I had this problem for some time. I'm not under what tax on my iMac, but Dreamweaver sometimes seems to get REALLY slow (for example try to select a menu item, there's 5-10 second pause until the program actually selects the menu item or not at all and then I have to click on the menu, and then try again.)

I have no idea why this is happening but it is also very slow read from our network where we keep the main files of our sites. Overall, Dreamweaver has been extremely slow, so sometimes when I really need to do something, I'll switch to Parallels and use the PC version which, although it is in an emulator, is faster than the Mac version of tons.

My system is set to 64 bit, that maybe it has something to do with it?

Try to boot the system with 32-bit kernel and see there is a difference: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3773

I heard about some problems of refresh screen using the 64-bit kernel on some models of Mac 2010 and 2009.

If that gives no results, then we will narrow the problem a bit.

The first step to limit: create a new Mac OS ("Administrator") user account, log in your account, log in to the new account, and then test Dreamweaver works normally.

If so, then we know that the problem is specific to the user and that we can concentrate our efforts there.

If it is still slow, so we know it's a systemic problem.

Let us know how it goes.

  • After Effects really slow with images of Panasonic (but not with images of Canon).  Help?

So I just got a new camera Panasonic DX-1, I love.  But I imported my first clip in legacy and it is really slow.  He Smothers my CPU (new MacBook Pro retina 16 GB of RAM).  I think that is has something to do with the formatting used by my new camera... but I do not know what is the issue.  Thank you!!!

    Cameron

I think the slowness has something to do with the ACVHD, which I think I'm exhib first... which is a codec?

It is a very basic thing you need to learn.  AVCHD is a codec, and MOV is a media container.

Here's a metaphor: think of a container of media - MOV, AVI, MP4, MXF - as a bobbin, able to hold various liquids.  These liquids are the codecs.

Some liquids are good to drink: soda, iced tea.  Some are bad to drink: fuel, battery acid.

If you work on your car, the essence is good.  If you're thirsty, gasoline is bad.

If you work in AE, a lossless - PNG, 444 ProRes, Animation codec - is good; you will not lose image quality and AE can work with them quickly and easily.

But some codecs compress the video signal in a way that is throwing a lot of information about the image or very difficult for AE work with.  AE can slow down a lot to use them, because they do not limit their video compression in a single image - they watch a group of video images and throw the redundant information of video.  If you use these images with any device involving time, AE must keep looking backward & forward to rebuild full video images to do what you tell it to do.  It is not a very efficient use of the capacity of EI, is it?  AE slows down.

AVCHD is one of these bad codecs.  You are doing a job that changes the time.  Export your videos to QuickTime for creation using the PNG Quicktime codec and import them into AE... Look at how AE picks up speed.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Dreamweaver really slow when it is connected to the server and then hangs?

I traced my server site as a network drive and when I add as a site in Dreamweaver, it is REALLY slow and it was only in code view, split and design views are basically usable UN - it will also crash when I try to save a file.

Any help is massively appreciated - thank you,

    James

    Hello

I know that some people do not have this, but it is not recommended.

Everything depends on the latency of the network and "dead time", if the latency is too high, (perhaps by your page referencing external scripts (e.g. jQuery) then this can make the latency problem a very visible thing and slow Dw.) This is because your server has 'get' the file referenced externally before offering the file for you (by dry weight), even if your page shows the link, the server sends the entire file, if you can't "see" it.

Save the file, can (and is) occasionally hang a program like Dw, especially when the server attempts to send the file to you and saving the file on the server at the same time.

Using this type of editing is your decision.

  • my laptop is really slow with lightroom.

my laptop is really slow with lightroom. How can I speed it up? Help

I have a Dell Corei7 under windows 7 with 8 GB of Ram. Lightroom using 2530 MB of real memory.

The fan works like crazy and the top of the Tower full gets also rather ward.

No solution outside the upgrade of the laptop?

Make sure that you have not distinguish faces on everything. Next to your name (or logo of Lightroom) in the upper left corner, there is a small triangle. Click on it and make sure that face detection is paused. Also, try turning graphics acceleration card off in the preferences-> help to run. Intuitively he saw wearing tends to slow down a lot of machines.

That said, don't realize that Lightroom is not a lightweight program and fans running on laptops is quite common if you do a lot of heavy editing, or when export you a large number of images (or generate previews on them)

  • 7 iPhone gets really hot

I bought a new Iphone 7 a week ago and I noticed that the device gets really hot when I use snapchat or there are 10 applications running on the background, I really don't understand this problem on my 6 s Iphone I hope someone will fix this as soon as possible, I am very worried. your

I am also having the same problem. Run ridiculously hot and battery only for half a day, if I'm lucky. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now. My IPhone 6 never had these problems, and the battery should last the whole day without incident.

I tried to disable the notifications push and push mail in hope, this may solve the problem, but using the phone this morning the phone become very hot and went down to 10% in charge while checking a few emails. It's certainly not right. I posted a complaint on the Apple Support page. If all goes well, they will be able to do something on this issue, because there is clearly a problem across many users. I've just updated my phone to 10.0.2 in the hope that this can help. Fingers crossed!

  • My Satellite is really slow and takes about 10 minutes to open a session

    Hello

My satellite phone is really slow and takes about 10 minutes to open a session. It also takes awhile to open up applications in particular the internet. Once the internet is open, it takes a while to access the net. The application actually drags across from the scene and it looks like a curtain closing additional idling.

    Need help.

    Hello

Have you checked the CPU usage rate?
Start the Task Manager and check if any strange background process needs the full CPU performance.

I also recommend to check the laptop for some viruses and malware. These programs could make the laptop and the lazy BONE.

However the portable equipment could bad work.
You should check the memory using the Memtest86 program. It s freeware. Check the HARD drive for bad sectors and also try to defragment the HARD drive!

  • What to do if the Ipad is really slow and unresponsive fast?

My ipad is really slow, not in response to normal speed and lose battery charge soon as usual!

CAN HELP SOMEONE, IT WILL BE APPRECIATED!

    Thank you

Try to reset all the settings in the settings under general app and in the right column under restore.

Try stories reset and delete/reset the caches in all web browsers you use.
If you use Safari, these features may be in the application settings under Safari.
Other browsers have their settings inside the running application itself.

If your iPad has been activated for iCloud, in the application settings under iCloud, to the right, under iCloud Drive, type in iCloud drive and make sure that Safari is off to save data from Safari to iCloud by car.

Also, under iCloud in the application settings, in iCloud Drive, turn the feature off saving for all other desired apps DO NOT the data automatically on iCloud drive.

If you are using Safari is always causing issues.
Try changing / using web browser third another, different.
I do not use iOS Safari too much more because I found it cause me headaches on some Web sites, regularly, to visit.
I commonly use another third party browser, perfect browser (there are others that can suit your style better web browsing, so look all first to see what third-party browser may work better for you) and I have never experience many questions that Safari was originally.

In the application settings tab general, right under the spotlight sesrch, try disable the search under the applications who really don't need a research, as some games, remote controls, apps that are really useless to be searched, etc., in order to reduce the list to Spotlight search.

Try to turn the reduced movement.
This is found in the application of settings in the general tab, in the left panel.
In the right panel, look under accessibility, look to reduce the Motion and turn this feature "On".
You should see a significant performance increase on all models of iPad 2, 3 and 4.

In the application settings under the general tab, in the right column, search background App update and enable this setting to "off".

If you find my phone turned on, you can try to disable in the application of parameters to changes in performance seemif.

Try a reset of your iPad by simultaneously pressing buttons Home and sleep/wake button until your iPad goes to the dark and restarts with the Apple logo, then release the buttons.
    Good luck!
