  It will not erase the SIM card, it will wipe away the memory of all contacts, addresses, calendar, preferences, etc.  If your device still works, and you will get a service, just you will lose information stored in memory.

  Probably, what is common, when you enter the initial password, you thought that you have entered the numbers and entered instead of alpha characters.

  Or you have entered the first in a number and the other as alpha... and you didn't because it is obscured by the asterisk.

  You should try a different combo of characters, and I hope you get it right the next test.

  It's a browser, likely push message or a Wap push message.

  Look at your Messages > Menu > view folders and look in EACH of the folders it and clear, read or delete none no intention.

  I know there is already a post on this topic, but this problem requires immediate attention.  Received an email this morning telling me there was an update of software available.  Plugged into the Desktop Manager and installed.  Went well until that right after the restart.  A frozen everything in closing the restart and from the restoration.  Now, all my data disappeared from my phone, I have no e-mail capabilities, no internet access, etc.  Now when I plug in the Office Manager he's just here saying that it connects to the phone, so now I can't even use a restore point to just run.  Right now I have a phone that has nothing of my data and can only make calls and send texts... might as well have a nokia from the old school!  I use this phone every day to work.  I need to work and so far no feedback of any type for a solution.  And of course you can not contact Blackberry via phone or chat to get help, who don't pee at all!  Between my phone freezing and having need of a hard reboot every day or so for the past month and now the matter today, I'm ready to think about Android.  That I hate because I love my blackberry.  Did someone's Blackberry out there listen to/read such things?  Need to get this fixed fast number.  Help, please!

  Sorry for the mixture to the top. It is under the common files, reasearch of movement, RIMdevice manager or AppLoader (I don't remember which folder). Anyway it must single .exe file and it is one that should be deleted. There is not any other .exe files in another folder. After that, I was able to connect to the Desktop Manager. • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Software - HELP! It syncs more

  After updating the software of office about a month ago I am more able to synchronize Organizer data. It worked wonderfully well before this, but I can't seem to find a link or site for the previous version of the software download. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the new software without success. I have reset the settings several times but without success. I connect the phone (torch 9860) to the computer and open the software. I put it on auto-sync and synchronize dialog box appears for a split second, then disappears. At this point, there has been no synchronization. I then click on the "sync button" bottom right of the screen and the Synchronization dialog box.

  Photos & video can be synchronized but not data. I left it like that for hours but nothing happens. The only way I can close it is CTRL + ALT + DELETE and close it through Task Manager.

  I'm doing something wrong? Can anyone help? It's bugged the hell out of me as it was working perfectly before. Is this the right place to ask this question because I'm having no luck elsewhere.

  It simply means that the device has no operating system on it. Do this first:

  Download and install your operating system on your PC.

  Restart the PC and plug in the appliance when it is restarted.

  Then follow the instructions in the link above using the loader.exe file.

  IF none of this works...

I rebooted a million times. formatted the entire phone but nothing works! my alarm does not sound and sometimes when someone me the your text does not ring SMS. the update is performed from a 107... something to an update from 1788. I can do to fix all these technical stuff... im convinced this isn't the physical phone that is damaged. your help will be very appreciated. thanx

  Given what you describe, I think that is better to a clean OS reload. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

  6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

  I just bought a blackberry curve 8520 a week ago and everything worked well, until I tried to uninstall a free app I install appworld, it asked me to reboot. So I did and when restarting blackberry I had this on my screen "reload software 552. My phone got * bleep * ed so I had to go down to my BONES and then upgraded again to resolve the issue but the problem still persists today everytime I delete an application from my Blackberry and asks me to restart and I get this error after reboot.  How can I fix?   Yes, this is legitimate, don't worry I got it at Orange and I set the phone already, I got the version of the OS 4.x and I just upgraded to the 5.x a recommended and with this upgrade is to solve the problem. I have colleagues was a bug in version 4.x.

  I have again on blackberry and need help to solve a problem.

  Page 29 in the BIS 2.5 user guide has that "when you remove a message from a built-in e-mail account, the message is also deleted on your BlackBerry smartphone.

  This does not work for me. It does not work when I delete from the camera, it will then remove the server.  It's my business account, which uses a normal pop3 server / imap type installation. Nothing fancy such as exchange servers.   I just download my server to hosts on outlook 2002 messages, thus erasing them from the server. Please note that I have the choice of using pop3 or imap.  I tried both and it does not in any way delete.

  Verizon says this will only work with BES, but as you can see above, the BIS said it should work.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  If you use IMAP and set it up properly, it "should" reconcile your bidirectional deletions, at LEAST since the e-mail server for the BB, and if you delete your your Outlook cuts from the mail server, then it should delete the BB as well. It may not work as smoothly, however.

  On the accounts POP, removing your Outlook will not reconcile with the BB.

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  (3) restart to take batt
