Have desktop Acer running Vista. When turning the power on, screen stops at a black screen with "American Megatrends" and "press Delete to enter Setup or F12 for BBS Popup. Bed features but cold stops at Auto detecting USB storage devices. Have you tried typing Delete on startup and F12 also. Also tried F8 and F10 control. Nothing seems to work. Sometimes when I hit Delete or F12 at the power, subsequently will pass on their corresponding monitors but it takes literally hours sometimes. I downloaded a Vista Recovery of Neotech and tried to have the start of the DVD system, but obviously, it didn't work. Had the same problems when I had to restart. Please help had only 1 month, is going to launch windows soon!

recently purchased a Qosmio x 305-Q706. First time I booted up it gets to start with Qosmio screen displays with "please wait" down and hangs there forever. The only way I can get it to boot is to start cold and purée the key F12 for is loading from the startup screen, if I'm lucky, I can enter the option where you can choose which startup device, and if I manually chose the hard drive I can load windows.
Someone at - he heard of this problem or how to fix it? I tried to change settings in the BIOS nothing. Re-iterate, it is stuck on the screen with Qosmio pslash, and if I press a key on the keyboard once it says "Please wait...". "he brings me just to the bios: (.)

This is a very stupid situation and I really don't understand why the laptop hangs at this level to start.
Is somehow your Qosmio confused and cannot decide which device should be the first boot device.
What is some external device connected to your Qosmio laptop?Maybe update the BIOS can help, but if you have all new laptop is not the solution. This is more recent laptop, and I presume that there latest version of the BIOS. So, if I were you I would contact either your dealer and ask for replacement or Toshiba service directly. This behavior is certainly not strange and laptop crashes somehow on the BIOS/POST (Power-On-Self-Test).

I'm under 64-bit Windows 8
Apparently, I scanned my system with a complete analysis of the system (AVAST) and my computer left thinking that it would take several hours. When I came back, my computer automatically shut down because it was left idle for about 4 hours. I don't know if the scan is finished. When I try to start, the screen becomes screen stuck on "Please wait" or "windows setup. Do not turn off your computer.I already tried to go on the System Recovery Options screen, then will solve the problems, then Advanced Options, but I tried everything what it and the problem persists even when I tried to start in safe mode. Suddenly - whenever I right click on 'New' in 'my documents' or on the desktop or in a folder, in order to create a folder or file, windows says "Please wait while that corel suite 11 is installed. I click on cancel, but it keeps coming back. I have not Corel. If I click on cancel about 13 times it finally stops! But I can't use right click on 'new' installation at all, it seems. Also I have problems with Outlook - I wonder if I need to re - install Windows XP or is there a simpler solution?

Yes, Outlook often think files 'have not been closed properly' and takes forever to 'check' the. I give him extra time to close before stopping computer...

PLEASE WAIT, BLUE SCREEN, Windows once connected on the new Inspiron 7537 8.1
Hi, this is my head. I have a new (less a week old) 15 inch 7000 series laptop PC with Windows 8.1 pre-installed by Dell UK.
A day after use, I start getting a blue screen that just overlap the start screen (and everything what I am trying to access) saying 'Please wait '. I found on-line means to solve the problem with the option than a job or go back to a restore point. For the last 3 days, I had to perform system restores and especially don't want to continue to do every day.
Notice all the I changed is to install Chrome.
I use this site http://www.optimizewindows8.net/2014/01/fixing-please-wait-screen-problem-in-windows-8-8-1/ but it seems that this problem is very popular and there is no solution yet.
Results
- Method 4: perform a system restore: The only method that works so far goes back to a restore point.
- Method 1: launch Safe Mode and perform a clean boot n ' not work, same error after reset. So don't go to investigate the item as they were all off the coast.
- Method 2: fix the filesystem with CFS scan - I have to do this, you do not have media.
- Method 3: log in using another account - Not tried but as I only have one account. Plus a lot of people is reporting that they must exercise in using this method with taskkill restoreoptin.exe
- Method 5: stop waiting for updates: When I got my laptop it turned slowly making me think that something has not been installed correctly.
- Method 6: end task restoreoptin.exe: You need another account to do this. Trying to restoreOptIn.exe /Ramp, I found that it created the screen 'Please wait '.
I disabled the Sky drive sync'ing as many messages talking about problems of integration with the operating system.
Before I do the kickoff at the Dell support by phone, does any body knows more about this?
Go looking around I found that in the "app My Dell' under 'story checkup\System' a critical error the day I received the laptop. I want to completely reinstall my system but I do not have the media, have no idea where to find my windows key. I found something on "download software factory" on the Dell site, but it did not work. What are you supposed to do here.
Hi Chris. I don't have any real help to you that I'm sorry to say, but I also encounter the same problem with my new laptop Inspiron 7000. I tried method 2 and he obtained throughout the analysis of the Sfc at the end without requiring the installation media and get the message: "Windows Resource Protection is not any violation of the integrity.", which was a dead-end too.

I'm trying to reduce my Windows 7 partition but the computer management tool is stuck on "volume volume queries for available shrink space, please wait". I used to have a Linux installation on it earlier and I uninstalled it properly, but Windows still work, so that could be the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

PC stuck on Please wait screen
As the title explains, the PC we use guard stuck on the waiting screen please until you can use CTRL + ALT + DELETE.
It's windows 7 Pro and for the pc to connect the network cable must be disconnected until completely connected. I tried to disable Windows Error Reporting, location Network Service, service list of networks, but with no joy.
Any ideas would be great.

I bought a new laptop in November. It is a Sony Vaio and runs Windows 7. Whenever I start it, it tells me 'Pleasse to wait until what we install Windows'. Surely, Windows is already installed.

As the topic says, last night, I tried to back up my data via FTP, connection tested, all were well. So, I went ahead and started the backup. Now it is stuck at "from backup, please wait... "since yesterday, Ditto for the application on the Web, when I try to log in it works fine until I'm connected, then the backup window appears and says the same thing. I'm a new mac user. Successfully transferred all of the files from my PC to MacBook pro. All of this is to be seen in the documents. Opened now MacBook and only one file to be seen in 'documents. Where can I find the others. Convinced they are there somewhere, help please.
