PC stuck on Please wait screen

As the title explains, the PC we use guard stuck on the waiting screen please until you can use CTRL + ALT + DELETE.

It's windows 7 Pro and for the pc to connect the network cable must be disconnected until completely connected. I tried to disable Windows Error Reporting, location Network Service, service list of networks, but with no joy.

Any ideas would be great.

Hi Disconsulting,

1. What is the exact error message?
2. Since when are you facing this problem?
3. any recent changes on your computer with a software/hardware leads to this question?

Step 1:

I suggest you to check the problem in safe mode, do visit this link provided below.

Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If the problem does not happen, then I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Step 2:

I recommend you to check the update drivers especially drivers network card on your computer. If the drivers are not up-to-date, then, try to update the drivers.

  • Pavilion x 2 stuck on Please wait

Hi a friend asked me to look there for laptop computer, when you start it it shows the HP symbol then moves a blue screen and then the wait please rises, I guess that's where windows is supposed to load but its there just with points going in circles, I've never used windows 8 or one of these things , so I'm a little out of my depth, I tried to reset the bios back to default values and I run a diognostics check and it came to pass that no problem so I guess it must be a software, its been like this since just after she bought. Why she did not return it so I don't know all I know, is that she tried to put the itunes on it, but he said there was not enough memory space or that she could not remember who he was as it was some time ago.

Hello ramasesuk, welcome to the Forums of HP.

I see that you are working on your laptop the friends, that it does not load in Windows properly, you get to a 'please wait screen. I will try to help you with this.

At the start, have you tried to enter Safe Mode? If so, could you. If this isn't the case, I suggest to start with this.

If you can get in Mode without failure, you can try a Refresh in Windows 8.

If you can't mode without failure, it may indicate a bad image of the operating system. For this, you will need perform a system recovery. If your friend isn't a recovery media, she may need to contact the support for this.

  • Help, please! New Acer stuck on Please wait

    Hello

I need a little help, my new Acer 8 tried windows computer to install updates that I allowed him to do, but for the last 13 hours, he is stuck on Please wait, I followed some instructions through this community but none worked, I can't get it in safe mode and I don't have a backup of Windows 8 cd to start from.
I contacted Acer because my computer is still under warranty, their solution is to send through their but I'll be with a computer for 7 to 10 working days, it would be nice if I didn't have access to the information as soon as POSSIBLE.
Anyone can help on how I can access my computer without referring to Acer.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

I suggest you go see installed updates and check the updates failed. I would say that you can download and install the updates to the boot of the Download Center.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Follow How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting article KB929135 to reset the computer in normal mode.

Also run the Windows Update components hard reset in the following article if updates do not install:

Once you are done running the fix, put the computer in a clean boot state, as noted above, and then try to install updates.

If the computer is locked "configuration of the Windows updates failed. Restoration of the changes. Error does not turn off your computer", then refer to this article to recover the computer to the operating state:

    Hi dbbd,.

Thanks for the answers on the community forum.

This seems to be defined as you said it happens after a reinstall of ITUNES.  Why don't you try not running through the steps in a clean boot process to determine exactly what conflicts with this configuration.

Try step 1 clean boot and see if you get the error, otherwise go to step two, then step 3 and step up to the process that blocks the start is identified.

Article for the clean boot - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

After you completed the steps in identifying the issue, please be sure to follow the procedure described in step 7 to bring your system back to a normal state.

Thanks, keep us informed on this issue of what is identified as the conflicting service.

  • Please wait screen

A computer of mine stays on the screen "Please wait" after a reboot. But even the save mode does not start. This means that I can't watch in the eventvwr or changing the msconfig. I started the computer with F8 for a restoration of the system, and even when I use a restore point of serveral day back it still hangs on the waiting screen please.

    W_Q

Well, if you can't really get anywhere you have to do a clean install. But in SafeMode if you access the system restore you may not be in the boot. In the safe, you should try the "FUCTION KEY THEN + R WINDOWS" it should ask you 'RUN' maybe you can try to run the system restore, or try to create a new profile.

  • InDesign CC will not open - stuck on "Please wait a moment" Adobe Application Manager.

I've updated InDesign CC to 2015 edition and now when I click on open, it takes me to Adobe Application Manager but then lies just on "Please wait a moment" with a spinning wheel. I left for several hours without change. I tried to shut down and restart the two CC from Adobe and InDesign and the same thing happens. I have out and back in again saved and the same thing happens. I am running OSX Yosemite.

    I got this all day.

    I found a solution...

running, click to close (very faintly, you will see a login under the white window screen).

When asked "Yes or no" click no... and rather than return to the State of the hanging, the hidden window comes forward - now, login and everything seems to proceed.

Hmm... OK - so it not let me login, now everything has gone... oh, here go us.

  • Start stuck on "Please wait for the Local Session Manager."

I would say that this problem started a couple of days. Went to start my laptop (Toshiba) and he sat on the "Please wait" message forever.

Had no problems to start in safe mode. Looked up various ways of addressing the problem.

Was able to change the resume date and back a few weeks ago. Still no luck. Happened to read something on a printer Epson being perhaps the problem driver (it was installed a day before the date of restoration chosen). Uninstalled the drivers, computer still does not start.

Tried restarting running. I do not have the CD it came with Vista, but it was an option when you hold F8 during startup (I think?) Couldn't find any problems.

Ran check on memory. No problem either.

Changed settings for a verbose startup and ran a Diagnostic startup - all good for this. Then tried selective startup load system services... This is when the error occurs. When starting, it hangs on "Please wait for the Local Session Manager" and does nothing more.

I looked in the event viewer to see what came that time and a couple mistakes were:

Event ID 6000: winlogon notification subscriber was unavailable to handle a notification event.

Event ID 7026: the next (s) start or start failed to load system
    spldr
    Wanarpv6

It would be very useful for me not having to run my computer in safe mode automatically all the time, although it is useful that I at least have that option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    1. by chance your computer is connected to a domain environment?

    2. as you mentioned in your article that you tried the selective startup, I want to confirm if you have disabled the services left 3rd after hide Microsoft services?

If you did not disable these services make sure you disable and then check if it works.

  • Stuck on the screen "Please wait" or "Configuring windows. Do not turn off your computer.

    I'm under 64-bit Windows 8

Apparently, I scanned my system with a complete analysis of the system (AVAST) and my computer left thinking that it would take several hours. When I came back, my computer automatically shut down because it was left idle for about 4 hours. I don't know if the scan is finished. When I try to start, the screen becomes screen stuck on "Please wait" or "windows setup. Do not turn off your computer.

I already tried to go on the System Recovery Options screen, then will solve the problems, then Advanced Options, but I tried everything what it and the problem persists even when I tried to start in safe mode. I tried to go to the command prompt, and then type sfc / scannow, but he says he cannot parse now. I also tried chkdsk / R, but it said the same thing. I don't know how to run cmd as administrator from the System Recovery Options.

So now I tried to use system restore, but I'm stuck on the logo of windows for about 1 and a half hour. I don't know if I have to wait for it or it is already blocked. In other forums I've read, they were using only the Group of drive 'C:' connected with system restore. Should I do this?

I think to delete AVAST or turn it off somehow.

    Please help me.

    Problem solved

I would like to share how I solved the problem. I was able to start using the windows 8 cd and in the window that asks you the language of the windows 8 needs to be installed, you can see below "computer repair".

After clicking on it, it automatically prompts me for advanced boot parameters. First I tried the auto repair, but it says the same thing, '.. '. can't fix right now... »
So I tried the option "pc refresh. I waited a few minutes to cool to do and after the process, it is more hung please wait screen when starting.

Once connected, I installed programs have been removed. In the local disk files, there is a new "windows.old folder ' showing all programs that I have the old system. Re-install program is easy and the best thing is that I have my computer back.

My deep gratitude to those who helped me. Thank you!

  • PLEASE WAIT, BLUE SCREEN, Windows once connected on the new Inspiron 7537 8.1

Hi, this is my head. I have a new (less a week old) 15 inch 7000 series laptop PC with Windows 8.1 pre-installed by Dell UK.

A day after use, I start getting a blue screen that just overlap the start screen (and everything what I am trying to access) saying 'Please wait '. I found on-line means to solve the problem with the option than a job or go back to a restore point. For the last 3 days, I had to perform system restores and especially don't want to continue to do every day.

Notice all the I changed is to install Chrome.

I use this site http://www.optimizewindows8.net/2014/01/fixing-please-wait-screen-problem-in-windows-8-8-1/ but it seems that this problem is very popular and there is no solution yet.

    Results

    • Method 4: perform a system restore: The only method that works so far goes back to a restore point.
    • Method 1: launch Safe Mode and perform a clean boot n ' not work, same error after reset. So don't go to investigate the item as they were all off the coast.
    • Method 2: fix the filesystem with CFS scan - I have to do this, you do not have media.
    • Method 3: log in using another account - Not tried but as I only have one account. Plus a lot of people is reporting that they must exercise in using this method with taskkill restoreoptin.exe
    • Method 5: stop waiting for updates: When I got my laptop it turned slowly making me think that something has not been installed correctly.
    • Method 6: end task restoreoptin.exe: You need another account to do this. Trying to restoreOptIn.exe /Ramp, I found that it created the screen 'Please wait '.

I disabled the Sky drive sync'ing as many messages talking about problems of integration with the operating system.

Before I do the kickoff at the Dell support by phone, does any body knows more about this?

Go looking around I found that in the "app My Dell' under 'story checkup\System' a critical error the day I received the laptop. I want to completely reinstall my system but I do not have the media, have no idea where to find my windows key. I found something on "download software factory" on the Dell site, but it did not work. What are you supposed to do here.

Hi Chris.  I don't have any real help to you that I'm sorry to say, but I also encounter the same problem with my new laptop Inspiron 7000.  I tried method 2 and he obtained throughout the analysis of the Sfc at the end without requiring the installation media and get the message: "Windows Resource Protection is not any violation of the integrity.", which was a dead-end too.

Takes me back 20 years for Windows 2 and all conflicts of dark material that allows us to get then. Windows 8 rhyme with mistake as far as I'm concerned.

  • remote desktop hang at 'Please wait for the system event notification' during logoff

This can also happen if that I disconnect the user, but the user seems to weigh on this same screen as well.

There is a particular difficulty for this?  I can connect as long as administrator to another account, I can't kill connection attached somehow to be registered in the next time?
