  the easiest way would be to draw rectangles of color on the new layers above the drawing and set the layer blending layers of color to multiply or darker color.

• Replace color replaced by Dark, perhaps almost black instead of color I want

  To change the colors, it's always depends on the color values you are trying to change amd how much detail you want to keep in your image.

• Why the Replace Color tool does not replace my color?

  I have the following situation:

  White in the image.

  Choose the color replacement tool

  Choose a red color

  Apply the white color tool

  Nothing happens

  Change color to light mode

  Receive a brownish band where the tool is applied

  Change the color mode and apply the tool to brownish band

  Receive a red strip, where was formerly the brownish one.

  Why was not applied in the first and replaced color replacement tool white with red?

  

  White is not one any colour change, because there is nothing to change.  Try to place a filled layer of red, above a layer filled with white and setting the blending mode of the layer of the red color to the color.  It just goes to white.  Now fill in the color of white background with grey wire (any value will do.  The darker the gray, the more saturated the Red will become.  Less of the tracks until you get 50% gray.  From there in complete darkness, it becomes darker. When you reach the full black, once more, there is nothing for the color work on, and it appears black.

  It is a useful exercise of understanding how to mix work modes.

  Hello. I'm new to this community and wish to ask a question on, specifically the removal of tattoos, but it would apply to any replacement color. I have a picture of a lady who has a large tattoo on his back. This covers his shoulder blades, and there's shadow and light on its back, which is also covered by the tattoo.

  How can I change the color of the skin around the tattoo while maintaining the depth / shadow and texture in detail.

  I tried to use a different approach, the gradient tool...

  1 use the pipette to set the foreground color to the part lighter of his right shoulder (RGB 236,220,220) and set the background color to the darker part of his left shoulder (RGB 200,141,111).

  2. roughly selected tattoo and feathered the selection 3 px.

  3 activate the gradient with the first options plan background and gradient tool linear. Called the gradient from bottom to top, left, right as shown here:

  

  The Gradient takes a lot of trial and error: where starts and ends at the line, that the foreground/background colors work best.

  Then, I used the Clone tool to illuminate the excessive shadow on the right side.

  Also added some shots more in the middle of his back with the brush with large brush (50px) tool and the same background color but a low opacity (50%). You can still change by painting the skin tone clear or dark as you wish.

  Since the Gradient is inspired by solid colors it destroys existing contour, texture, spots of birth, etc. You can restore certain contour by painting as I did above. If the skin appears too smooth you can try to apply the noise filter on the same area. Here I used a $ 1.

  One way, using the Replace Color tool:

  1 game of the color chip in the color of foreground in the Toolbox

  (for example, to set the 592F0A for the black color, and then set the color

  54648 c before painting with light on white)

  2. change the mode of the replace color to brightness tool

  3. paint over the area you want to change

  4. set the mode to color to color replacement tool

  5. paint on this place that you painted in the brightness mode.

  I use CS3 (Windows) and miss me the "Replace color" tool

  All other tools seem to be available (I think).  See a screenshot of my toolbar below.

  See the tool stamp at the bottom right of the bitmap tools? Click on the small triangle in the lower right to bring up the context menu. This is, as well as the red-eye removal tool. Any time there is a small triangle, which means that there are several tools in one box.

  I have a HP Officejet 6600.

  I have ONLY prink black and gray, but the other color cartridges run out.

  Can I replace Magenta, Yello and blue cartridges with black cartridges?

• Replace color problem

  Well, I'm doing my own logo in Photoshop CC on a PC. The first parts were very good, I've changed everything in a purple color. However, when I got to a part, it's a black image with a transparent background. When I try to use the color replace, it turns out that gray, not purple. I tried to use the other stuff like Hue/Saturation. None of them does not seem to work. I checked, the color mode RGB, as all layers. I just have no idea how to solve this problem! I tried to use the fill tool, it didn't prove gray that day, but it looked really terrible.

  Best method: duplicate one of the RGB channels and apply a correction of timestamp to make all the black and white. This allows you to have different shades, so it seems not so much pixelated. After duplicate you the channel and adjust the levels, ctrl/cmd click on the channel icon to make a selection. Filling selection as I mentioned in my previous post. using an empty layer would be the best choice, also if you get none of the gray list.

  

  

• Replace colors on multiply layer with a preset color

  It's my first time here and I've tried to find an answer to my question, but could not. Maybe someone can help me whith it.

  
  My approach:

  1. I scann my work (linedrawing)
  2. I have my work with multiply mode on different layers of color (as I'm sure many do)

  
  Now that I have not been able to understand is how to replace the color on this layer produced by a predefined my colorswatch color.

  I found the tutorials on how you can change around the color using hue/saturation and stuff like that, but I have a predefined colorpalette. So I just want to replace some blue color I always work with a green of my specific color palette.

  I used the replacement Brush tool, but the colors that appear are a mixture of the color of the first and second color I use.

  So my solution so far has been implemented a new layer and color once again. I am hoping that there is an easier way.

  You could have a color fill layer for each color chosen from your color chart with the blending mode set to multiply and the filled layer of black mask. Then, paint the mask with white to do your coloring.

• Replace color to one of my choices...

  I am very new to photoshop (CS5 extended) and have tried all afternoon to replace a color in one of my choices. I watched a lot of videos online for help, but I can change the color, but not the color of my choice. In the Image > adjustments > replacement colours I have sucessfully make the choice to change the color. The color I want to replace it with is a charcoal which is C = 64, M = 56, Y = 53, K28. Can someone help me please?

  If the contrast needs to be corrected, also a curves layer could be used.

• I need help replacing my case on a Slimline fan.

  I recently bought a HP Pavilion Slimline s5 - 1070t.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.
  After several conversations with tech supports, the problem I have is a defective case fan.  Rather than giving for repair of "bench" that will take nearly 2 weeks during the holidays, I want to replace it myself.   My problem is that I can't find any specs on the fan to know what to buy (I know I can remove the one installed, but prefer to do all the material stuff at some point).  I went through the HP part surfer and found the part number (646679-002 system fan-9225 mm, Stargell changed), but I can't find it via a google search.

  Suggestions as to what I should buy?  I use the computer for office and photo applications.

  Al, welcome to the forum.

  I studied intensively a source for the fan.  There is no other that be bought in the United Kingdom.  You may have to send the computer to HP.  Unless, that is, you can find another fan with the right connector on it.  This may be difficult, however.

• Notepad, change to help replace and add a comma

  Hi, I hope someone can help me, I'm sure I've done this process before but may not have to work this time. I exported a list of wise mobile numbers in Excel, I then copied and pasted to the notebook, I used the replacement feature edit replace to remove the space between the code and numbers, but I'm now trying to add a comma after each number so I can save it as a csv file that will be used for a campaign of text... but I can't the comma to add and ideas (apart from manually add a comma after each number)

  Hello

  Excel supports the directly in a csv file without needing to go through Notepad. In the save box under, select the csv file type in the list box dropdown type.

  You can also remove all spaces in Excel with the REPLACEMENT function, for example
