  I have a model SAN SUN 7117 and ESXi server in a HP DL120G6. The SAN has 4 of the NIC for iSCSI traffic and the ESX has 4 NIC, but only 2 NIC's for iSCSI. In the SAN, I configured an LACP aggregation with 4 NIC problem is that, in the ESXi, I see that only one NETWORK adapter works.

  As previous authors have written, so that the load with a vSwitch policies balancing offers you need more targets and virtual machines more (which is not the case that you use iSCSI).

  Hash IP needs more targets to spread the load.

  We are implementin new host in our Infra and do some vmotions between different groups. A group a host with balancing 'route based on IP hash. " Can we do Vmotion to another cluster where the hosts have different load balancing policies. In addition, if we change the policy on new hosts in furture of load balancing is loss of downtime or a package?

  First of all, no problem from VMs one ESX to another, they use different political Multipathing.

  Second, if you use IP hash, it means you are using etherchannel (or LACP) on the physical layer - configuration/cancellation of the configuration that almost always require that the uplinks are not used by any VMs, so you have time to synchronize the physical and virtual configuration. It is not a time out, but you need to plan accordingly - all depends on your physical network capacity.

• LiveCycle servers behind a load balancer.

  Hello everyone.

  We have livecycle ARE set up behind a load balancer (F5 BigIP). We have problems with the JMS queues. We are able to connect to the administration console make changes, etc., and the product seems to work very well until the JMS queues are used.

  We are only ports 8080 load balancing and nothing else. So I'm wondering if we need to load balance more ports next to those. Of course, I've not found docs on this topic on the adobe site.

  Any help would be appreciated.

• IP hash load balancing

  I tried to set up IP hash load balancing across our server of vmware.

  I configured added 4 nic to a switch virtual and added the ip routing of hash for all groups of port on the vSwitch.

  (it is noted that one of the port was the management vmkernel port group)

  I then found the physical ports on the switch that the nic 4 plug and adds in a port channel.

  I used the following commands to create the Group of channels

  config

  to add ports in the channel of the port:

  channel-group 1

  I did it for all 4 ports to which the 4 server nic was connected.

  Once I had done this connectivity network completely abandoned. Workstations were more able to talk to the whole server vm (domain controller, Server database etc.)

  I took the ports except the port channel group - and the restored network connectivity.

  Can someone tell what I'm doing wrong here?

  VMware does not support LACP, you must set up the Group of channels in 'market '. Please check your configuration of the KB below phyiscal switch port:

• I have a new backup disk (a disk of 5 TB of Seagate) and need help setting up with CCC!

  I have a new backup disk (a disk of 5 TB of Seagate) and could use help setting up with CCC.

  I did in the past without problem, but I want to assure you of a few things:

  1. This particular drive has software available in a folder on the disk backup (w / the PC and Mac versions). But... I intend to use this disk as an exact copy of my iMac HD; It must also be bootable.
  2. Should I format the drive with disk utility? Or load the software to the CCC on the disk and just leave their only backup software?
  3. One last question: I also have a MacBook Air, an iPad and an iPhone. I want to save them as well. Should I put them on separate partitions, I created? Or can we just one big happy family? The last is best.

  One last piece of information: two computers, etc, were all backed up via Time Machine. My data the most important, photos, etc., are also saved on deposit box and/or iCloud on a regular basis.

  Delete and partition the drive by making a separate partition for each computer. The iPad and the iPhone is useless their own partition because they back up using iTunes and would appear in the clone of the computer that you use for each save. Each partition must be the size of the current cloned drive that can leave you with additional partitions for other stuff. Then format the drive Mac OS Extended journaled. Do not install any software that came with the drive, none of this is necessary.

  I use a very similar setup with a 3 TB drive. I clone my boot SSD in a single partition, my drive internal 1 Tb in a second, my Macbook to a third party, and I have a fourth partition which is currently empty, because I haven't decided what to do with it yet. I also have a 3 to Apple Time Capsule.

  We have our EMP system had put 11.1.2.2 to 11.1.2.3 and it's a broadcast environment (Windows 2008 Server) and in one of the server, we installed FDM and after 11.1.2.2 upgrade to 11.1.2.3.

  When we load balance FDM Configuration, SSP is failed with " Shared Services Connection Failed '

  What I did:

  Deleted all entries in the object load balancing DCOM {E652643D...} and the Application Server Config {26AD6592..} and the COMJNIBridge DCOM objects. Re-directed EMP config for FDM application server

  and reconfigured the FDM with mycmsc\svc_hyperionfdm of the user application server. Config of load balancing is still unable to the connection of Shared Services with the error "Shared Services cannot connect".

  I tried the local administrator user but fails in the same way

  We try to log configuration Insight in a load-balanced, and cluster configuration. After the search tirelessly for blogs, the question on this forum, or other persons who completed it and shared their installation that I found nothing. The only thing that comes close is http://sflanders.net/2014/05/01/log-insight-2-0-beta-load-balancing/ , but indicates only how it will come in a future post!

  I was going to Setup Proxy HA, but from my understanding it will not charge the way UDP traffic that newspapers Insight will want to have it transmitted information. Because we want to send more, otherwise all traffic to syslog to log Insight area, we would need to use UDP 514.

  Those who have actually set up load balancing, you followed a guide? If not, could you share how you accomplished, setting up your environment to balance between several workers?

  I try to get 2 vCloud Director of cells of load balanced through a vSheild edge load balancer. I'm running vCloud Director 5.1.0.810718 and vshield Manager 5.1.2 - 943471. The two cells are synchronized time, two cells have the same certificate and the two are running on vCloud Director. the vShield edge device is configured as high availability and 2 external interfaces and internal 1 interface. I have 2 pools server implemented in load balancing, 1 pool for the HTTP and the second basin of the consoleproxy. Virtual servers are also implemented, I created 2 virtual servers by using external links to http and consoleproxy. the instructions I used to set up cells and the edge device are shown in the vCloud Director vCloud 5.1 zero Part4 network load balancing. After reading the reading part in vCAT page 311 thru page 314 balancing, it indicates that I need to copy the SSL certificate to the for the public URL of http load balancer. My question is, how do copy you the SSL certificate in the load balancer? any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The method of the copy of the certificate in load balancing is different for each load balancing.  I find that it is only necessary if you're trying to unload SSL for HTTPS connection.  If you do not have SSL offloading, I don't worry about this.

  Look at what vCAT doc?  vCAT is a series of documents, and there are several versions.  I want to just make sure I'm looking at the same thing before commenting.

  I have a question about to lift our load balancing program and perform in our view environment 5.1.  I followed the article KB 2020913 to get our servers view running with SSL certificates.  I'm doing our load balancer in place and I keep getting errors in SSL certificate.  Here is a brief summary of our facility.  I have two servers to view (VCS1 and VCS2) connection with our internal certificate authority SSL certificates.  There is our program of load balancing.  When you use VMware View Client and go to the view.company.com address of the load balancer, I get "pipe in the certificate name is invalid or does not match.  I click on 'See the certificate' and it is to show the certificate of one of the connection view servers.  A I mess up something with the installation program, or have I missed an obvious solution?  Any help would be appreciated.

  It is the expected behavior. With SSL, the certificate name is checked by report specified by the client host name.

  There are two ways to deal with this. If you are using certificates with another subject of your load-balanced alias name, it all will work.

  for example if you have some certs on each connection to the server (or the Security Server) with the names cs1.myco.com and cs2.myco.com but customers do you think users will connect using a load-balanced alias view.myco.com, then by ensuring that each cert has another name of subject of view.myco.com then the hostname match control work.

• Adpaters/active with the vPort ID load balancing

  Looking at the following configuration, my understanding is that some virtual machines in this group of ports will use vmnic1 and some will use vmnic6 (based on their ID vport).  Pretty simple.

  Assume that the uplink different swithces cards.  This works because there is no tree blocking one of the unplinks.  Question is: what happens to traffic on vmnic6 if the link fails? (failure of the local liaison, NIC failure, etc. - I'm even not consider upstream failure here).  My understanding is that vmnic1 will not resume because the windows are related to the vmnic6.  Only if there is a Standby adapter is there a link to relief for vmnic6 or vmnic1.  In other words, with vPort (no Etherchannel) of load balancing, two active/active adapters are not 'Standby' to each other.  Is that correct, or am I wrong?

  I ask because I see this routinely on customer sites.  But what I always have it set up as a channel of port for a single switch, if two switches or was to be used, then I made active/active and then included a Standby adapter for failover should one Fail of active principles.  Or, if all I need is resumed, not load balancing, I just did a single active/passive and alternate ports between them as a form of manual balancing groups.

  I always just assumed Active would not switch to another asset without a port channel/IP-hash config (where the whole reason for standby in the first place).  I'm quite right or completely wrong?  Later today, I want to test this is a lab while monitoring with top.

  

  With the default configuration in your example, the virtual machine-> Teddy assignment is when a virtual machine is running. In the case of a Teddy/link failure the VMs will be assigned to other natachasery. A standby NIC cannot be used unless there is a power failure.

  Initially, I found the script stumbled upon the $luns [0] which means the value is null or empty. I replaced vml with naa. Now, I got "one or several mandetory missing settings SCSI LUN". An error with the syntax, but I'm not able to establish that, I guess.

  Now, if I run certain commands on the command line I find I'm out usable. But by channeling the same row in a table or the variable, then the Write-Host of the content, I see "VMware.VIMAutomation.ViCore.Impl.V1" (and so on).

  Judging by the dates of the blog posts that I am of the opinion the latest PowerCLI (v4 build 264274) can return the information in a different way, I'm wrong with my assumption?

  Can you guess what will be my next question? How could I do that now?

  The "vml", "naa"... depends on the type of storage are your LUNs.

  The problem with this statement is that you must specify the parameter - Scsilun.

  This can be a positional parameter (without - Scsilun), but then it has to come in position 2.

  See the page Get-ScsiLunPath .

  Try the attached script.

  I changed this line and it works for me.
