  We are trying to do a fresh install of Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.3 on Windows 2008 Server R2.

  Its a standard deployment with a Foundation Server and an Essbase server.

  When you try to install on the server of the Foundation, the EPM System Installer fails to install Oracle database customers.

  The first Question we have is, we have decided using Microsoft SQL Server for the repository of Shared Services and therefore would like to know if it is safe to ignore this error and move on.

• The first Installation fails after first Boot of the Satellite L750

  Hello.

  I turned on my brand-new Satellite L750 - 04K 010 for the first time tonight (bought new) and start going through the initial setup process for Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation must "Installing devices" and then hung up without activity for about 2 hours, how I decided to restart.

  Then I kept getting the error windows installation has failed and would then need to restart the installation process. The computer will restart but kept coming up with the same error and the loop would continue even once.

  I have not received the installation discs.

  I tried to press F8 to see if the computer repair would work but only gave options to repair the system to a previous state. No Toshiba option was available.

  Help!

  It's pretty stupid situation now.
  If there is no way to launch the installation of recovery once again I recommend your dealer and ask for help. With other words, ask for the replacement of the laptop.

  What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and explain the situation. I put t know what they can do for you, but I imagine that you will get a DVD of recovery for the installation of the OS.

  Of course I n don't know what the right solution, but I don't see another option for you.

  The question could be deemed to occur by downloading the update. It is difficult to say at this stage. As to return to it, your best bet would have been the restoration of the system, but you mentioned only that a system restore does not work because you do not have restore points.

  Have you tried to go into Safe Mode?

  You have media or recovery disk?

  Have you tried to do a Reset BIOS?

  Have you tried perform a hard reset?

  You have beep codes or flashing LEDs?

  Please ensure that all Bluetooth device that you use with the laptop is disabled (including mobile phone).

  I could solve this problem. I started in Ubuntu and deleted the existing cdrom.sys, cdrom.inf etc. files (as in Windows, they were protected and I couldn't delete them), then I copied the files from another installation of Vista I had on another hard drive. After having done that, I updated the drivers in device, disabled/enabled readers and readers management that presented themselves.

  Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

  Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

  An example of a COA label can be seen here.

  You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a very respected source - Digital River.

One who knows the most recent updates, that I need to download before you let Windows Update automatically, please post a reply. I currently install the following: KO... 947821, 3078601, 3083710, 3087039, 3102810, 3109094, 3138612, 3145739, 3161664. If I'm missing anything please let me know... also, the system refuses to load the 3172605 (July/August rollup) indicating that it does not apply to the system, even if it should. Yes, I ran the update problems... Yes, I went to COM and reset the appropriate services... Yes, I ran SFC/scannow... No, none of them doesn't help.

  I understand that you have a few questions about the graphics drivers. I'll be happy to help you with it.

  To answer your first question, your graphics card is not uninstalled, but the drivers are uninstalled. But the computer is now using generic display drivers.

  I suggest you visit the manufacturer's website and install the latest graphics drivers by using the model of the computer. If you have trouble doing that you can visit the AMD Web site and use of the auto detection function to install the graphics driver.
