Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition to factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Need help to reinstall Vista on Bootcamp/Fusion

    Hi all

    I read through many guides to (very useful) instructions on how to install Vista Ultimate on a bootcamp partition and then load it in VMware Fusion, but I can't understand for the life of me (probably due to my lack of General knowledge with Windows) how to do a clean reinstall.

    I installed a Vista partition on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.5.7) a year ago and then successfully related to VMware fusion so that I can run at the same time as my Mac.  I chose to do a bootcamp rather than running installation in a purely virtual, because when grumpy people on the coast is must log remotely on my computer and mud autour, I thought it would be easier for them if it was installed on a real partition.

    However, I started having some software conflicts between Outlook and a piece of the company that owns the software, and they told me that the only way they can fix it is with a clean reinstall.  Everything that I need to the wide Vista is saved on my Mac and a reader network, but I don't know how to reinstall Vista.  Should I start Vista or do through the Bootcamp assistant?  Or do I have to delete the partition?

    All statements that can be provided would be very appreciated.  Also, I intend to move to VMware Fusion 2 (I use 1), while I'm bothering with all this, so if anyone has recommendations on the best time throughout this process of transition, which would also be very useful.  Thank you!

    Here we that I recommend:

    1. in Mac OS X, load the BootCamp Assistant

    2. There is an option to create or remove a Bootcamp partition. You want to delete the existing partition

    3 go ahead again through Bootcamp Vista installation

    4 voila, you have a clean install of Vista running on your Bootcamp partition.

    5. restart Windows. Activate it.

    6. restart in Mac OS X.

    7. If you previously had VMWare fusion configured to use your Bootcamp partition, you need to remove the VMware configuration files, located within somewhere like this:

    ~/Library/application support/VMWare Fusion / Virtual Machines / Boot

    Camp.

    8. ensure that you have upgraded from VMware to the latest version

    9. the fire to the top of VMware, it should detect your new Bootcamp partition. Load the virtual machine and install the VMware tools

    10. restart your virtual machine.

    11 activate Windows again. Voila. You now have the option to boot natively in Windows, or using Windows through VMware.

    I have a new computer, clean my registry, and something has been deleted which was not supposed to.    Now, my computer accepts no updates at all. aid coulum says I need to reinstall windows vista premium to fix. Pretty simple.  problem is when I got my new PC out of the box, vista is already installed and the product key is on the side of my Tower. There is no disk that I can remember, and now I'm naïve what to do.    I really want to spend another $ 150, I don't have, something that I wouldn't really need. Is it possible to reinstall vista online if I can prove it is mine and noone elses?         Help, please!

    Most new computers come with a version of Vista recovery on a partition of your hard drive.

    You need to read the documentation that came with your computer to find out how to start the recovery.

    Normally you have to press a button or two while the computer starts up, then ask if you want to restore the computer to factory settings.

    Note If you do this will delete EVERYTHING on your hard drive (just what you put on the computer SINCE you bought it).

    If this is not available contact the company you purchased the computer turned off and ask them for a set of recorvery CD / DVD.

    One last thing.

    DO NOT PLAY WITH THE REGISTRY WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

    In fact

    DO NOT PLAY WITH THE REGISTRY. FULL STOP.

  • No disk Vista, help w / reinstall

    Hello, I have a question that has probably been asked before.

    I bought a laptop from futureshop a while ago and it came with an installed copy of vista & product code.  but no disk Vista came with it (they told me to talk to the manufacturer of the computer for my problems > :))

    Anyway, he spent a good amount of time as a model of the community and I think he got riddled with sheerstrakes and spyware.  It is verrrrrry slow running.  Initially, I wanted to reinstall vista but ran into a roadblock due to not having the master drive.

    Are there steps I can take to download a copy of vista?  Or is there another way I could take to clean our my hard drive?

    any help appreciated

    Hello

    If the laptop has been installed with a version of the OEM of Windows Vista (Dell, HP, Toshiba...) then you will need to ask the manufacturer for a copy or if you have a friend with the same brand of laptop, you may be able to use their drive.

    If it is a commercial version, you can use any Windows Vista DVD to re - install.  If you know someone who has a copy, you can borrow their media and use your product key with it.

    Regarding the cleaning of your system, you will need a good program antivirus with updated definitions.  In addition, you probably have some spyware.  See this sticky thread on how to remove it.

  • Help me get my files after that I reinstalled Vista I can't HELP Please

    Hello: I just reinstall Vista yes I know I can't afford a Mac, in the cher, my question is "HOW can I GET THE FILES FROM the OLDER VERSION OF windows. I lost all my music and other important files. Thanks for your time

    If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.

    You can try this program:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

    Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

  • Satellite A215 - Fn button are no longer available after reinstalling Vista

    Hi all, not.

    I recently reinstalled Vista on my laptop and I noticed that the function key options are no longer available for brightness settings, lock computer and tastes. If anyone has a direct link to the drivers for that would be great, I thought that I had all of the visit by Toshiba but apparently not.

    In addition, scrolling does not work on my touchpad. I downloaded the latest synaptics drivers and installed and nothing helps... Any help on that would be appreciated also.

    I cehcked mouse options and those who appear to be good. There no options in the Panel "touchpad" however... maybe something there?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    The A215 is a laptop to US. I know that because of the 5 with the and of the model if you use the page of the Toshiba driver Vista us to get the right drivers.

    In any case the FN keys are controlled by Toshiba Flashcards Utility. This sis tool part of the Vista Toshiba value added package and I think that you need to reinstall this tool.

  • How to reinstall Vista?

    Hello!

    I need help. I have a Toshiba laptop and a few days ago I formatted with a friend who was supposed to know how to do. We have done with the restore cd that I had for vista, but in the process, we have deleted all partitions. My knowledge is very small, but I think that erase something (the recovery partition?) which was necessary to reinstall Vista because the CD does not work.

    Another friend told me that what I need now is an installation for Vista CD and that now that we have erased all my recovery CD does not work.

    Someone has an idea?
    Thank you

    Hello

    I put t know what exactly you were doing, but normally you can reinstall the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc. It is a very easy procedure because you only have to make a few clicks. Disk erase the whole HARD drive but that s normal so Don t be to worry about this.

    Alternative, you can use a Microsoft Windows disk. Thus, you can also reinstall Vista, but after that, you will need to download and install all the drivers from the Toshiba site.

  • How can satellite L300-19U - I reinstall Vista without having to work the DVD player?

    Hello

    I have a big problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-19U.

    1 month ago I installed Windows XP on it and it is now my DVD-ROM is broken, he did not read some CD DVD so I can't use my Vista recovery DVD reinstall Vista. Someone at - it had the same problem?

    I heard there is a partition (hiden) where recovery is on it. I'm looking for this partition. And if I find it, I can boot directly from the partition to restore Vista? If not, is there another chance to get it back?

    Please help me to reinstall the Vista recovery partition!

    Hello!

    The hidden partition you want to say is a feature of Windows Vista, but you can restore t Vista with this partition. The point is that the partition is also deleted because you have installed Windows XP on it.

    Restore Vista without recovery disc is possible if Vista is still installed on it. You can go into the advanced boot menu, and then select Repair my computer. Then you can choose the Toshiba HDD recovery option. This is a feature that restores Vista from the second partition.
    But like I said is possible with Vista installed.

    Just a question: why you n t to a service provider allowed? If your laptop is still under warranty, you should get a new CD/DVD drive for free. Normally it should take only a few days and then you're able to reinstall Vista! :)

  • Should I reinstall Vista Home Premium?

    My problem started when I downloaded a few new files for a game, I run on my Vista Home Premium.  The game is Left 4 Dead 2, I've been looking for a good map editor for game cards included with the game, and in my research on the web, I found a few new cards that are in zip (compressed) format, and after reading the instructions I have to use my 'open with... " command through Vista and the value of Left 4 Dead 2 as well as the program to open these files with..., now on my system, I have a lot of space (500 GB HDD with about 75% of free space), I have a quad-processor, 2.40 GHz Pentium 4, 4 GB of RAM.  Now for the problem; When I select Left 4 Dead 2 as the program to use in the "Open with...» " window and click OK, nothing happens, Left 4 Dead 2 does not appear in the"Open with... " list of programs and it happens with all types of file/program type on my system.  So I ask, can I reinstall Vista once more?  It has been replaced once before, and honestly, I didn't like the process of resettlement.

    Resettlement took my old Windows subfolder and placed in another directory on the operating system reinstalled.  I can see why he does it, but honestly, it's a royal pain in the neck to find out what to do with the new directory, I ended up just removing all together.  So I ask you, should I reinstall or not to solve this problem with 'open with... '. »?

  • Reinstalled Vista. The windows is genuine, but I don't have the activation code. What should I do?

    I bought the laptop in 2006. The windows is genuine, but I don't have the activation code. What should I do? I installed vista and because I had no code after about 4 weeks it will stop. I'm up, but its prompting me to activate again. Help, please! This has been a good laptop and will continue to be if I can get help with activation.

    Original title: old Dell laptop broke down.

    Hello

    You can contact Dell and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

    They should do this for a small fee.

    If this method has not been destroyed by the last re - install, and if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    With a Dell, you press F8 at startup and follow the instructions

    http://www.Dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?docid=266618

    The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.
