  If your device stops at 80% load, then most likely the battery care is enabled. You can try to check on this program. Simply open VAIO control center > power options > battery. From there, you can change your VAIO how to react with the battery. I hope that helps!

  Are you sure that the battery is compatible? did you buy the genuine battery from Toshiba ASP?
  I think that 3rd party retailer batteries may not always be compatible so I would test the laptop with a battery that is recommended by Toshiba.

  On the other hand, it could be a motherboard problem, but if the notebook starts successfully by using the AC adapter, I wouldn't quite sure if he s really a motherboard problem.

  Also try this:
  Remove the battery and adapter, press the power 30 sec long.
