Help! Y580 wireless cannot turn after I upgraded window 8

Hello

Recently, I improve my y580 to windows 8. My wireless adapter is always the. When I try to solve by using Windows Network Diagnostics, it ask me to move to the front or the side of the computer, or function keys if available, to enable the WiFi feature on this computer.so what do I do now? Of course, I don't see any physical switch on the laptop. Someone has the same problem and know how to solve?

Install the driver for power management. I think that you will need the version of win7. Then press the FN key + regardless of the key is the symbol wireless (F5 I think?)

  • OfficeJet 5745: Cannot print after update of Windows 10

I've updated to Windows 10 and now have problems printing.  Help!  I've done all the troubleshooting, coil status stuff!  I'm used to be able to print from the internet, scanning to my computer or email and print wireless from my phone.  I now can not print anything!  I tried to install Windows updates.  Should what printer I configure default network or regular?  Use the printer pdf microsoft thing?  I am desperate... saved my bank statement online (pdf) to my documents and it would not print the Bank or my documents!  Before this I had problems after that my hard drive crashed and I got a new hard drive.   When my hard drive crashed I was using WINDOWS 10 and everything on the big printer worked; they sent back with new hard drive on windows 8.1 and I had I thought that the upgradew would solve the questions.   I could print and scan but no wireless for my phone on the new HDD in windows 8.1 and upgrade to 10 thought would solve my problems, but now it's worse... Help!

    Hi @savra,

If your computer is connected to the printer on a wireless network, you do not want to send print jobs to the network printer.

Here is a support document to help with printer after Windows 10 upgrade problems - after Windows 10 Upgrade, printer problems occur.

Aside to make sure Windows updates are up to date, there are a few other updates that can help with printing.

Microsoft has released an update that is supposed to help with wireless printing - Cumulative Update for Windows 10.

There was also an update for Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge who can help get this impression of your bank's site - Update for Adobe Flash Player.

Please let me know how it goes.

If this helps you find a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Wireless Off after 10 upgrade Windows

I adjusted has upgraded to Windows 10 (x 64). Since doing the without wireless is OFF and I can't turn it on (Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter). The F12 button stays amber (just pressing and disable / turn off the airplane mode). Wired Ethernet card (Realtek) seems to work OK.

The wireless card information below. The Device Manager list this adapter and says it's working properly (no warning or 'X'). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver in Device Manager. I was not able to find a new version of the driver from the Realtek site. The Windows 10 Network and Sharing Center troubleshooting tool detects any problems.

The system settings screen (see picture) WiFi won't let me turn on the wireless (if I click on the button to turn the wireless off to, it comes immediately jumps back to the off position)

Description: Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapt

    The fixed!

I have reset the BIOS to the factory settings. I have no idea why that work. I had read a few posts on the support Forum HP it has worked for other people.

All the best and happy new year!

  • With the help of function "Edit in" after the upgrade to 4.4 LR

    Hi all

I upgraded to 4.4 today and when I tried to use the function "change in" on a photo of a move to 10 items, I received a message that LR has been unable to prepare the file selected for editting and it won't open.  I tried several photos and none of them work.  Also, I went into preferences and put in place the item editor as my external program.  It worked this morning before the upgrade.  Any ideas?

To the OP, it is a kind of problem of permissions with the external hard drive for sure. Run repair permissions in disk utility and check the permissions to get information for the reader.

Xda... the Edit function has always worked with PS or PSE depending on your configuration.

I found this in another forum and solved the problem:

The version.h file is missing in /lib/modules/3.7.2-201.fc18.x86_64/build/include/linux/ therefore, the manuscript is not able to get the right path to fetch the other header files.

The following will fix the problem by copying the version.h in the folder:

    CP /usr/include/linux/version.h /lib/modules/3.7.2-201.fc18.x86_64/build/include/linux/

  • Qosmio F50 - cannot turn off microphone on Windows 7

Since installing windows 7, the microphone on my laptop seems to be permanently. Which is really bloody annoying when you go to your music and you get a very high feedback sound height. If anyone has had this problem or can anyone help?

also the Fn key works more :(

    > Although I still can't get the FN button work. I can not see the maps flash at the top of the screen, but I could never before. I tried to restart the flash cards, but which does nothing. I don't want to do that all the time, like using my mouse to click on them. I just want to use the FN key to use.
You can turn off flash cards so that they don't appear on the display.

So navigate to start > all programs > TOSHIBA > utilities > settings for Flash cards

Clear the option allow the mouse to make the maps. This means that cards Flash appears only if you press a FN key, but not with the mouse more. :)

    See you soon

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: AMD graphics driver does not not after the upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 online

Microsoft snuck in as the custody of my 3 weeks ago and started the upgrade my operating system Windows 7 to Windows 10 without my consent while I wasn't in front of my laptop. When I noticed what was going on I have reluctantly let the process take its course. I have encountered in many problems. The main source of problems, it seems that graphic of the AMD Mobility Radeon HD5000 series laptop drivers are no longer works, apparently supported by Microsoft drivers.

AMD gave 2 driver updates: 15.7.1 and Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta catalyst.

I installed 15.7.1 but still had no service message.

I then installed 16.2.1 always without result.

Should I give up to get my AMD drivers working and settle for what Microsoft has done that has mucked up the graphics on my HP DVD and Vivo TV apps?

    Hello Grayson,

It is very likely that you upgraded your computer to windows 10. If it is less than 28-30 days ago that upgrade, would have a chance to go back to windows 7. This is possible by clicking on the small papir in the right corner below only 'no new notifications or new notifications' If your only and press on all the settings-> press update of security &-> in the left, you should find one called "Recovery"-> under that with that you should have a return to windows 7.

If you return to windows 7, you can block the forced update by using this link: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2998967/windows/how-to-block-the-windows-10-upgrade.html

    hope this helps you.

    Hey @cavvie,

Unfortunately you can not do this. It will take a clean install of Windows.  Automatic is grayed out and you can not change this, you need to reinstall the operating system. I suggest aclean installof Windows.

You can use your recovery disks. But you will need to remove all and reinstall Windows.

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion dv6: Intel Centrino Wireless - n 2230 will not activate after the upgrade to Windows 10

    Model A3E82AV number

I've been avoiding Windows 10 because I knew something like this was going to happen, but I took the pludge.  Anyway, everything seemed to work but my wireless adapter.  After the upgrade, the rocker on the keyboard turns on and outside airplane mode, and I can't switch to map wireless in Windows settings.

I can get wireless adapter to turn on, go into that in a minute, but if I shutdown or reboot, the problem returns.

I had success in the driver update, or by manually installing the driver, I even read a tip to make the battery, hold the power button down while the battery is out and run it upwards.  I tried to reset the BIOs to default settings.  When the computer feels like it, the wireless adapter will start working after a reboot.  If I have the toggle switch, the light goes from orange to white, I can then activate wireless and connect to my SSID.  If I stop or restart, my wireless NETWORK card no longer works and we return to the toggle keyboard turning power on and off airplane mode.  Device Manager says it is working normally and the drivers are up to date.

I read a post from microsoft that says VPN adapters could cause corruption while making the upgrade.  I'm a professional, so I got a handful of cards, but also virtual cards VMWare Workstation installed, so I tried to come back to Win 7, remove the adapters, are re-upgrade.  It does not solve the issue.  While I was back in Windows 7, everything worked most of the time, but there were some problems with the programs, etc. which would not work right.  When I upgraded to Windows 10, some of these problems persist, so I checked my backups to make sure they were up to date and did a new install of windows 10.  I am now running a new image with just firefox, associate of HP and the different drivers Intel, I tried to install, and I still can't get the card wireless to tour consistantly on / off power after a reboot.  I thought for sure the nuclear option could solve the problem now I can't even go back to Windows 7.  I did mention to try some recommended drivers Intel, I found in other posts... I also tried to uninstall the driver, and install in compatibility mode, but that has not worked, either.

This one had me scratching my head.  I tried literally everything I can find on the internet in an attempt to solve the problem, and nothing will keep the work of consistantly wireless NETWORK card.  Any other ideas out there?

Looking at the forums, appears not to have a lot of people in all areas of this issue with different brands of computers and network interface cards.  If anyone knows anything else to try, I would really appreciate it.

    FIXED!

I think so.  I downloaded and installed the bios for Windows 8.  After that, I managed shutdown and booted my laptop 3 times and restarted once.  Every time you start after the installation of the firmware BIOs, the card automatically turned on and connected to my SSID NETWORK.  Since the upgrade to Windows 10 I saw not the laptop automatically start and connect the wireless NETWORK card and he did successfully 4 times now.

The file that I downloaded from the HP Web site was update the BIOs for Windows 8 version F.2D rev A.  The file name is sp68425.  I will continue to monitor and make sure that it was indeed the fix, but all great so far.

For people who can run on the same topic, here's a recap of what I did to solve my problem:

    Centrino 2230 installed 15.18.0.1 driver
    Update driver Bluetooth 10.0.10586.0

Updated the BIOS to the version of Windows 8 F.2D Rev A

If you decide to play with the BIOs firmware, just be aware that if things go well, you could cause more damage to your system.  I would only try this method if you are uncomfortable for the recovery of a faulty BIOS installation.
