Hello

Although it could be the combination of Windows 7 on Vista there is also material
in question. If you continue to have problems to check with the Acer Support and their forums, and a real
computer store (that makes its own service in the workshop on this Acer model).

Acer - USA - Service and Support - drivers
http://us.Acer.com/AC/en/us/content/support

Acer - Community/Forums
http://community.Acer.com/

Acer - worldwide
http://www.Acer.com/worldwide/

A clean reinstall of Vista, as you say you have planned to do, must solve problems
that the BONES are related. That leaves of course material.

Definitely check for malware that can cause strange problems.

I hope this helps.

    Hello

I'm migrating my HP from the hard drive to a new ssd that I bought it. As far as I know windows 8 is supposed to activate based on the code set in the bios of machines, so I bought a hp recovery DVD online as Manager recovery HP seems more delivered with these machines, so I couldn't do one and reinstalled windows 8 on the machine.  After installation and connection to the internet activation has failed, he said that the key was blocked.  This may be, this machine came with 8 pre-installed windows, she must have a valid key and license I already paid.

I have tried to burn reinstall media using microsoft media creation tool, but it does not work too once it connects to the internet to validate the activation

I wish to reinstall fees, I'm not even sure the drive I went out of the works more or is not changed at this point, and its bigger than my ssd so cloning would be a problem. And I also read problems cloning windows 8 sure start installs anyway.  In any case, I would like to some how be able to get this back to work.

Someone from HP can help me please.

  • media center m8400f pc helps recovery

I have a media center PC and I tried to add a dual boot on my vista system, when I installed XP and restarted, he asked me what operating system to start and I tried the Vista one and the screen would just empty, XP always works and thanks to the hard work has been able to find any drivers...

Now I want to reinstall Vista, but I have no recovery cd, when I start my system and try pressing F10 or F11, it does not launch the Recovery Manager, I can clearly see the original picture and not made by the install it of course everything messed up my settings startup, then go into my xp installed, I changed the settings in the boot.ini file thinking maybe xp changed my drive letters around and when I tried to Start vista this time, he said that he could not start because the hal.ini is not found or corrupted... I tried to create the recovery discs now because I can quite see all the files in the player, but they will not start in xp. I have already backed up all my files, now I guess my question is there a way I can restore from this factory image using some files? (by pressing F10 or F11 does not work) or can I create XP Recovery discs by burning a certain file?

    Info Tech,

Have a quad core hp media center m8400f also pc was windows vista Home premium and xp pro sp2, my hard where the configuration is disc 1 is divided in part two partitions one where the original vista part b, is where is the factory recovery image, disc 2 part one is where I saved my documents and part b that is the installation of xp

Used, here is a link that should help you:

    http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_and_xp_with_vista_installed_first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm

Page 4, "restore Vista Bootloader and enable the Dual-boot, should give you the information you need to solve your problem."

Dual-boot is a great way to run the two OS' are on the same computer.  However, I suggest to use two hard drives, rather than two partitions on the same drive.  I did it both ways over the years (8 to be exact) and it's my favorite way.  Currently, I am running XP Pro on disk 0 and Ubuntu, Linux on disk 1.  It works very well.

Let us know if this helps you.

  • * Can you PLS HELP * RECOVERY (X131e)

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie on this forum and hope someone can help me. I bought a X131e of Lenovo Thinkpad aged for 3 weeks on ebay, excellent condition. The prolem I have is that it comes with Windows7 Home Premium 64 - bit standard, but the previous owner had loaded windows 8 and lost all partitions, including the recovery, I now have only one partition. Ive reinstalled 64 bit win7 home premium via USB, but want the original partition of the image and the structure (original image) on. Is it a simple way to do it, can someone please pijnt me in the right direction, otherwise if this is not possible, could someone please help with how I can get it back to the standard y at - it a command installation procedure specific driver and where can I get all the applications required lenovo to and which ones? I hope that there is someone in this community who can give me the best and less complicated option, would be absolutely appreciated recommendations, comments or advice. Thanks in advance

If you are sure of the recovery (Lenovo_Recovery) with factory image files partition is missing the only legally to get portable in the condition of the factory is to buy the Lenovo recovery media. FRU necessary here:
    http://download.Lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/x131e_intel_fru_list_20130311.PDF

At the same time, there is no serious difficulties to install all drivers Lenovo and sw yourself. Just do internet connection, download, installation and launch ThinkVantage System Update and it'll help you:
    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS012808

Yes, you will not get the functionality of the blue button for purposes of rescue and recovery (partition will be absent because of the System_DRV) or profile of Lenovo for OS and smth else. To achieve that you need a factory recovery media.

    The fixed!

So for everyone with the same model and same problem: it turns out that this bios don't really boot block. If the bios failure = brick Clipboard without recovery options.

But here's how I solved mine. Bought a SPI programmer, ic clip (soic8), some test wires and fact adapter to connect the programmer ind clip. Had some problems and also had to change downloaded bios because I didn't have the right backup but after little playing, he shot straight up. If you have good rom backed up, flashing should be easier. It is the solution for those who have more technical, but much easier than the chip soldering skills.

Because I have a white screen and not able to go into the BIOS or Windows for flashing the bios HP tell me that I have to spend £500 for a new motherboard because there is no way to reprogram the EEPROM via USB hard drive external as this laptop model does support not the 'HP_TOOLS UEFI boot usb stick' or any other drive in a DOS environment.

I just want to know if this is actually correct, it is possible to reflash the EEPROM (I think it's an Insyde bios, but I'm not 100% sure)?

How can I determine exactly what type of BIOS, Insyde or otherwise?

    (1) you should have "Permit debugging" enabled in the settings of publication so you could tell exactly the line of witch will not

    (2) this line makes no sense for me: var list: XMLList = xml.data.title

    Change it to var list: XMLList = xml. IMAGE;

    (3) loader.load (new URLRequest (list [0] m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString (()));

    (4) also this line is suspicious: this ["holder_mc" + 0] .addChild (loader)

Why not just say: holder_mc0.addChild (loader)?

  • Brick machine after BIOS update

Here is a method that has worked for save a laptop HDX18 running an Insyde BIOS.

Download the latest BIOS for this model.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp51501-52000/sp51618.exe

Save it on the desktop and use 7-Zip to "extract the files, when you open it you will find a file with the name of 3610F34.fd.

Rename this file to 3610.BIN (I used the capitols)

Enter a USB flash drive 2 GB or smaller and it must automatically be formatted in FAT32, when it's done copy and paste your BIOS file, newly appointed to the flash drive, safely eject the drive on your computer. (not just pull the USB port)

    On my HDX18 Bricked.

Remove the battery and the adapter and hold down the button for 30 seconds to do a hard reset.

Plug the flash drive into one of the ports USB left , hold the 'Windows' + 'B' key and hold your it plug the adapter.

Start the laptop should begin to beep and read the flash drive, release the keys when and finished the laptop turns off. Let stand for 3 minutes and Windows.

This method has done does not on my dv8, or done a job here for mrtranmsb:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and/please-help-recovery-BIOS-HP-DV4-1326TX/...

I had my dv8 two choices to replace the system board or replace the BIOS with a pre-programmed one chip.

In my case, I was certain that it was a bad BIOS update because the machine was in perfect health before the flash.

I decided to replace the chip, and 'My Tech' was most useful in the identification of the chip of the BIOS as well as Note Book Review. I bought the chip of 'My Tech'

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While all mean, this means that if your laptop is out of warranty , there not a lot of options to fix things.

Most of the people do not have the skill that it takes to resolder a BIOS chip on the motherboard, and in this case, a replacement motherboard is the only alternative.

    OR

If you have all your hard drive partitions in tact (the key is the HP tools partition), you may be able to save the BIOS of this partition by organizing the 'Windows' + 'B' key down to start. This works as with the factory original OS installation, you don't have not changed or added to partitions and if your machine is more recent then 2010.

Before you try everything before, make sure that it is in fact a corrupted BIOS problem.

Also note that this thread is only dealing with an Insyde BIOS, not Phoenix or any other.

I tried the standard F8 during startup to go into safe mode and run my anti virus scanners, but apparently it does not work in windows 8. Some say SHIFT F8, that does not work either. Also any other method of setting up safe menu starting boot or mode does not work as it should connect on the desktop to go threw the settings and activate it for the next boot upward. This does not work for me since the virus I have apprently made my fall display driver, after I get my user password to start the desktop computer, so I don't see anything but the pointer of the mouse, everything is black. Y at - it another way to start in safe mode or trigger a recovery system or restore without actually being on the desktop?

    Why windows might change?

I already ordered a recovery disk as that seemed to be my only option. But the works of windows 8 way I will NEVER buy a computer with it again. Could not have another 2 days to get collected and filed so now use an external mouse. 2 days ago the keyboard froze and doesn't work, then it works again for an hour or two the next night and has frozen - no key has nothing, even function keys. It seems to work when the machine is cold.

What is this connected to the touchpad frozen?

Anyone know why this is happening?

    Hello

It seems that this happens if the laptop heats up. He of right?
Well, you can try to pick you up BONES and check that the issue occurs if the OS is clearly installed.
If the operating system helps recovery doesn t, it seems that it s something wrong with the hardware.
In this case your laptop needs a service :(

HP support wants me $150 for access to my external hard drive to get the operating system to load, but Carbonite said HP will not be able to do that because the external hard drive has a proprietary of Carbonite on her HP technicians will not be able to work around.
