Helps save as javascript (tiff compression options)

Hi can someone please help me change this script to "psd" in "TIFF". I would like the script to specify particular compression options and I don't know how.

var saveFile = new file ('~ / desktop /'+ (new Date () .getTime () m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ()) + '.psd');
app.activeDocument.saveAs (saveFile);
app.activeDocument.close (SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);

The compression options I want are as follows

TIFF (8 bits)

Image compression - quality JPEGG 10

Layer of Compression - ZIP

OK Thanks Paul. I'll read and have a think about. Just before closing the discussion, you would give me guidance on the best method of compression scriptable? I don't mind frozen, but need to keep the layers and the color profile. Small best for ftp.

  • Cannot save a big TIFF 16-bit RGB Image in JPEG format

    Hi all

I use Photoshop CS5 Extended on Windows 7 64 bit (Home Premium).

I sewed a panorama in Photoshop using the fusion of 19 RAW (Canon 5 d mkII) files in 16-bit. Everything was fine, I saved the image merged under TIFF 16 and worked on it. Panoramic image resolution is approximately 33000 x 4900. Place the flattened selections and active left.

Once I was happy, I ran the Image processor on it with a watermark action and add the copyright EXIF data. There is no need to say that it cannot save in JPEG format (he performed the action correctly, just stopped to save). Normally, this works very well with other images RGB TIFF 16 I did.

I tried to save it manually, but at this time, I noticed that the "Save for web" option is grayed out and the dialog box "save under" showed no JPEG options.

    What I did:

1.) tried to open it with ACR and save it in JPEG format. It worked well

2.) tried to resize to 20000 x 3600 (more or less) and it worked fine (which means that the option to save it as a JPEG back where it)

3.) tried to convert it to full-size 8-bit and who did not

I'm not too bothered because I have the solution of ACR, but it's boring and in the past, I've done more large panoramas with CS4 and I never had this problem before.

    Any ideas?

The image is nearly 1 GB, so I'll not post...

    Thanks for your help!

The CAB code has a limit of 64 k according to the width and height of JPEG files.

The Photoshop code has a 32 KB limit, because of the old code for JPEG.

  • Outlook Express wants to save disk space by compressing the messeges, but I've never used. Why have my messeges?

I have Windows XP Pro and I use a hotmail account that is now Outlook.  I understand that.  I've never used Outlook Express.  When I turn on my computer, I get the message that save space disc can compress old files that it could take some time.  Even if they do not have my messeges, I would like to know how to uninstall it if it takes all of my disk space required on my old computer junkie.  I know that if I log in as an administrator, I can disable access to outlook express, but it is still in place?  This brings me to the question of the cleaning disc. In the cleaning disc, it says that compress files will not remove them.  Is that mean they cannot be deleted?  If this is the case, then will I not compress them?  Should I compress them before as I have remove access to Outlook Express as an administrator?  Thank you.

The prompt for Compact messages is indicated after 100 closures of OE. But as you use it, something else is causing the registry counter display the prompt. My guess is that you should look for Windows installed.

You must tell Windows Search to stop indexing OE.

In the control panel. Indexing Options. Change. Clear the check box for Outlook Express.

If you get the prompt again, let compact to reset the counter. It will not affect your Hotmail/Outlook account and messages. In addition, nothing is too much space. It's just a false alarm.

P.S. The removal of access keeps the prompt to appear.

  • Reset to "help stop the startup slow browser" option

I had the opportunity to reset to "help stop the startup slow browser" option. He did his thing and now all bookmarks are gone. How to restore or find which profile these bookmarks are on.

Sorry to hear about this. Your old data must be in a folder on your desktop named old data from Firefox. You will find this file? If you go down the old profile folder (name is random semi, but often ends by default) and look for a folder named bookmarkbackups can you will find a file named recently along these lines:

    bookmarks-2016-11-12_9876_gibberishis .jsonlz4

In this example, 9 876 bookmarks have been saved on 11/12/2016.

If you have a good candidate for the restoration of your new Firefox, this article includes the steps:

Restore backup bookmarks or move them to another computer

Note: the recovery menu may show a fresh backup, but you should probably use choose a file and point Firefox in your old Firefox data folder to find the one you want.

Help! placed grayscale TIFF doesn't let me change his color chart of colors...

Tried to revive demand, re-boot PC in the case of a technical problem. Something with graphic blocks that must be re-stored I don't know?

I also tried to create a new page, import another image and persist on the issue.

How do I "re-adjust" my settings so it does not once again?

Here is the information about resetting your Pref.: replace your preferences

But this probably isn't the problem. Are you sure that the images are really grayscale? What format they are stored in? They may not be colorized to identity card if they are transparent or do not have a background layer.

  • Explain the Compression Options when recording in TIFF format

Adobe PhotoShop CS5 offers three options for the conversion of a RAW file to TIFF (ZIP, LZW and JPEG).

I would be grateful if someone can help me understand the following.

I do not understand which of these employ the "run-length encoding" system which should make the TIFF

the file is much smaller than the RAW file.  I used three types of compression, but the only one who

has resulted in a substantial reduction in size was JPEG compression.

The TIFF file without compression is actually twice the size of the raw file.

What are the LZW and ZIP compressions doing?

    Thank you

How did you get to the conclusion that the tif should be smaller than the RAW files?

jpg is a lossy compression, so better avoid uo until the final output.

As for lzw and zip (from the help):

LZW (Lemple-Zif-Welch) Lossless compression; support language PostScript, PDF, GIF, and TIFF file formats. Very useful for images with large areas of single color.

ZIP Lossless compression; supported by the PDF and TIFF file formats. Like LZW, ZIP compression is most effective for images that contain large areas of single color.

So image noise for example denying all economies, and I think that zip with 16-bit is a problem.

  • PremierePro4 help with some Compression Options video Capture

Last week, I started to convert my old tapes VHS using a Canopus ADVC 110 box, a Mac with os x 10.4.11 and PremierePro 4.0.0.

Everything went well until last night when I lost my choice of compression in first - Capture - Video - Compression settings.

Previously, I had plenty of compression type and used DVCPro or DVCPro50. Also, there are many others available.

Now, I only see DVCPro50 when my Canopus is attached to the source. If I remove the canopy my iSight becomes the source and the only type of compression is y ' Y'CbCr 4:2:2 - uyvy.

So far, I rebooted and everything replugged, checked the permissions and unloaded and reloaded first. None of this works.

I suspect there is something running interference somewhere that I have to delete or reset.

Assistance is greatly welcomed. Thank you

You know, had not thought of that, because of the Mac. However, that would affect all things MPEG and should not affect the DVPRO50, or at least, I don't think he would. Still, worth the detour.

To the OP, can import you a single MP3 or MPEG AV in PrPro? When you look at Help, see Activation of transfer (or similar syntax), or is it gray?

    Good luck

  • Help! How to make an option "Save to Print".

Okay, so I admit, I know just enough to be dangerous, but not effective ColdFusion.

I developed a database of obituaries for a client whose name, first name, Date of death, Source, Source, Date, etc.. Each record has a unique ID as the primary key.

The user can search for records that meet different search criteria. The customer wishes the end user to be able to save documents to a record 'impression' that would be store them until they are ready to print all records. (The client is a library so they want to save the print paper).

I tried to address this problem in several ways, but without much success. I think I can be limited by my knowledge of the client and session variables or structs and arrays.

Because of my lack of knowledge of the structures and arrays, I set up a table in my database called list print and simply stored the ID of the record when the end user that is added to the list. The problem, however, is that if mutiple users are using the database at a given time, the list will not exclusive to that particular user.

I need to know the most effective to allow the end user to add to the and delete the list of printed documents and then of course print registration and empty list, but do it in a way that several users on separate workstations could potentially make simultaneously without interfering with each other.

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

That's exactly why the session variables have been invented for this kind of situation, and so, you should leave the table in your database and use session variables. for example:

Try this code in a test page and it should give you an idea how to do this:

    • It is part of table #i # and its value is #session.printList #

It is a variable in the session scope which is unique to the user, and then this variable, we create a table. A simple table is NOT complicated, don't be worried about this. A table, is literally a list. We make lists all the time in everyday life and it's the equivalent of programming. He gives us an orderly way to store and play with the elements.

The example shows the creation of the session with the table variable... I also shows filling the table using arrayAppend... try adding some of your own and refresh the page. You will then see in the CFDUMP what this variable.

Finally, I play with the table with a simple CFLOOP... just loop over the list on the screen.

    Good luck
    Mikey.

  • Save as LZW Tiff Droplet

    Hello

I created an action in PS that records in format Tiff LZW files and then created a droplet. I want to save and close the file to the same location it is in (i.e. replace has it) but he wants to save it in the folder I saved first in action - for example in: Macintosh HD:Users:Kerry:Desktop

Anyone know how I can change this way to save right on the original tiff in some place it's in? Gout has delete file open and colors option checked and save and close as destination...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

You can try to check: Override Action "save under" controls in the dialog box Create droplet.
