  Recently, I reformatted my hard drive to solve a problem with my computer randomly, making a rude noise beep and turn off.

  with my freshly formatted hard drive, I put in my windows installation disc and got pretty much at the end of the installation when it turns off again.

  Now, when I turn on the system, I get a message "ntldr is missing Press crtl + alt + delete to restart»

  I tried to put in motherboard driver disk and the windows install disc, but he refuses to boot from one, and I received the message "ntldr is missing".

  Could this be just a hardware error?

  The "obnoxious beep" could have been a hardware warning tone (they have meanings).  Do you remember the sequence?  Here's how to 'decode' the beeps: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm.

  I'm surprised, it gives you this error message when you try to start from the Windows Installation disc or from motherboard driver disk because it uses no Windows at this point - Windows isn't yet loaded again (just the files on the disk and I can't believe that both Windows and driver disk drive has become defective in this moving abruptly).  There may be something defective with the CD/DVD (see below).

  Check THE system BIOS for protection that prohibits writing on the mbr (boot sector virus protection is a common for this term). This must be disabled during installation or Vista will not be able to modify the mbr
  correctly.  To boot from the CD (or to alter the BIOS), you may need to change the BIOS to do the CD drive first in the boot sequence.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.

  I read another article online, where the solution was the CD/DVD - although it didn't identify the problem or the solution.  I remove the disc and unplug it and reconnect it (just check Don't connections).  If you have CD/DVD drivers before Windows, you can load, even if it looks like it's working properly (this can solve the problem).

  Frankly, it looks like you may have a problem with your power supply (although this does not explain the message ntldr - just the constant power to the bottom of the situation).

  Here is an article on how to fix ntldr not found error in Vista (which should not happen because Vista does not use ntldr). http://binaryday.com/2009/02/16/how-to-fix-NTLDR-missing-error-in-Vista/  Check your BIOS settings as shown above.

  Some of these problems are very difficult to diagnose even for experienced technicians who have special tools and spare parts in Exchange for testing.  It could be a hardware problem (although I don't know what specific device might be at fault).  If you try the suggestions above and there is still no joy, then perhaps it may be time to take it to a computer technician - not Geek Squad or one of these centers of department store (assuming that it is not under warranty, in which case, make a claim).

  OK, so your last post, it seems the widgets are the cause of the problem. Let's see if we can understand why:

  Settlers 3 gold edition is not listed in the Windows 7 Compatibility Web site. It may or may not be compatible. Take a look. Clickhere .

  However, you can follow these steps and check if it helps to solve the problem for you.

  Step 1:

  I suggest, instead of just click on icons, you right click on the .exe file and run as administrator.

  Step 2:

  If it is little help, you can run settlers 3 gold edition in Windows Vista compatibility mode .

  Step 3:

  Alternatively, you can run the game in compatibility problems solving

  I had this problem and goes out at least once a year...

  When I go to print on any computer through wireless connections, computers can't find the printer.  The printer is turned on and connected to the network, and network results show that everything is fine.  I did everything, including restarting the printer, by restarting the computer tries to print the form and reinstall the printer, and I get the message "Printer" not logged on computers.  Each moon blue, if I leave it long enough, he will find somehow the printer and printing, but as I said it's extremely rare.

  Logistics-wise, I am using Comcast for cable internet, and are all Apple products.  The modem is a Motorola and the router is a Linksys.  The router is less than 25 feet from the printer, and there is a clear shot-not walls or to block the signal

  I recommend you try the following steps:

  • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
  • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
  • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
  • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer using HP Easy Start.

  I have Windows XP SP3 on my system. I tried to restore my backup file I had created a few months back. and I get the following error:
  "Backup file is not found or is not the file you requested.
  even though I am pointing to the correct file.

  It is possible (although I'm not sure) can I have left my backup file a different location for a more current. However, in the Restore Wizard, I'm still that it points to the current file.

  However, it does not help. When I try to catalog them by following the steps, an hourglass appears, but there is no algorithmic activity event.   Please help me with this restoration! There is a huge amount of data which suddenly went 'pfoosh' one morning. people say we should have backups for buffering against these events, but a pity that my backup doesn't even work! Help, please! I would really appreciate it.
